When Julian got back to the castle, he met his loyal body guards at the gate. Roger has given them just three days to find him. Since then, they've stayed at the gate day and night, awaiting their master. They laid on their faces on seeing his.
"Master!"They gasped. "You are back! The castle was not at rest with your absence. We are so glad."
"Get up you two." Julian said.
"The king would like to see you immediately."They dusted sand off their coats.
"Tell your king that I'm back. I'd go see him when I'm ready."
He left them staring in shock while he headed to the legion house. They were training as usual. A new army head have been elected, the old general proudly had the badge on his coat. They all bowed as he passed. Something seemed off. He searched all the training houses but didn't find Kabal. Well, he gave up the search and retired to asking the haughty old man.
"Kron."
"It's a good thing that you are back Prince Julian."
Julian winced. "Where is the youngest boy in your legion?"
Kron looked puzzled. "Youngest? I can't recall..."
"Kabal, the slave's son. Why is he not here today?"
Kron chuckled. "That pee wee boy. He's probably with his mother now. I did a little clean up. He can't stay here. The one who kept him here is gone anyways."
Julian clenched his fist and walked away.

He was surprised to see his father already in his chamber.
"Roger, why are you here?" He challenged.
Roger grinned, in a funny way. It's the best way he could hide his feelings.
"You always forget how to address your father."He paused. "You always disappoint me. I wish I had other sons. I won't have to worry this much. Where did you go?"
"It's none of your business father. I'm back anyway. You can go get another son if you want one."Julian laid lazily on his bed.
"You answer me right now. Why did you leave the castle in that manner?!"
Julian sat up on his bed. "Really father, you don't know what you did? You killed an innocent soul yet again. I was her assistant. I knew her more than anyone. She was the most loyal person you had in this castle.you killed her because you had the power to. "
"You were really attached to that witch weren't you? " The king questioned. "She manipulated you. I should have known. Making you her assistant is the worst mistake I made. Not anymore, shes gone now. You can't even get her ashes in that lake. "He laughed. "I never knew my son had a soft heart. You'll have to forget her now and move on. She is a witch, a pretender. She had an hidden agenda and I knew it because I am the king. You don't. So don't blame me unnecessarily."
"Fine. I'm back now. I'll learn to support you." Julian muttered.
"That's my son. I'll train you Julian. You'll take this throne after me."
Julian only nodded. "Well, if like to rest now father."He stylishly asked him out. Roger rose from his seat and walked out. As soon as he was out of sight, Julian left his chamber to the slaves quarters. It was the poorest part of the castle. He knocked on the door and his petite mother answered it. She bowed.
"Good day Milord. "
"Is Kabal in? Can I see him?"
The woman walked in and came back with her son. He looked pale, like he's been crying for days non-stop. He fell on his face on seeing Julian.
"Milord, I'm honored."
"Stand up Kabal. We can't talk here. I need to see you in my chamber."
He stared wide eyes at his mother who had fear written all over her face.
"Kabal is safe with me. I promise."I reassured her. She winked at her son and we left.

"Milord, you have a letter."Sylvia announced on getting to her master's chamber. She curtsied as he took the piece of paper from him. Sylvia watched as a smile form on his face while he read the letter. It's been a long time since she saw him smile. He looked up to her, a questioning look on his face. Sylvia realized she's been standing there for too long.
"I apologise. I'd ...ehm... Leave now."She turned to go but he stopped her.
"Stay Sylvia, sit." Oh my...do he just call her name? She felt magical butterflies in her belly. Hesitantly, she sat.
"I met a lady once..." He paused. "You are my personal maid and I talk to you because I trust you. No other person in this castle can be trusted okay?"
"I'm honored Milord."She bowed.
"I met a lady once. Actually, she came here herself. Called herself Karen. She says herself and her peers had a plan on how to deliver the demons into our hands. She has the key. She saw her friend does. She just sent a letter that we should start a war."
"She has the key? Karen? You didn't ask how she got it?"
"She says her anonymous friend has the key. He lives in the demons territory. I have a feeling about their group. A strange feeling."
"I guess we are thinking the same thing Master. It's the chosen one in the holy books. I'm optimistic."
"The chosen one? You know them too?"
"I've heard a lot about them. If she says she'll take the demons down, you should believe her. It's about time master."
The army head grinned. He marvelled at her wisdom. "Now, I'm rest assured. Thanks to you Sylvia."
"I'm honored Milord"Sylvia bowed.
"I'm Israel. Cut off the Milord thing."
Sylvia was dazed. Did he just tell her to call him by his name?!
"You'll help me send my message to the legion. I'll send for a war only when those things are done. Fortify our wars. The army should be ready, installed at every corner of the white coven. Lastly, A lady called Karen and her peers should not be harmed but protected. I'll be expecting her."
"I'll do that Milord."Sylvia stood up.
"Isreal, that's my name. We're alone now, you can call me by my name."
Sylvia was flustered. She nodded and rushed out.
All she had on her mind was: "Katrienair, Karen, are they different people?"
