Genius?

Gang Xin showed the exit claim to every guard that stopped him. After seeing it, they made way as Gang Xin once again returned back to the outside world. 

"Finally some breather..."

Gang Xin sighed as he got out. As he looked at the rare blue sky in Autumn and the scorching sun that followed, he felt his body getting more relaxed. 

Even though the environment inside the Pavillion was ideal for his cultivation, it was really hot and an uncomfortable place to live in. 

He could almost feel his nerves becoming tingly and irritated just by staying there for a few days. 

Of course, if he was able to cultivate more, he would definitely be able to stay there longer.

'Now... my deadline for the clan mission must be overdue. But first, I should go pay the academy a visit. Or, let them visit me?' Gang Xin thought.

Now that the truth of his talent should be verified, he should receive special care from the clan. 

He probably didn't even need to act by himself. They would come to him.

Just as he was thinking, a girl heading his way called out. 

"Gang Xin, orders from the clan are here" it was a fellow student from the academy. 

She wore a prretty neat training clothes, and the belt on her showed that she was still an initial stage Form Fighter. 

Her name was Gang Mi Yu. 

From his old memories, he found that the girl was pretty talented, and was a hardworker as well. 

They didn't keep much contact, but the old Gang Xin would often find himself being inferiour to her in tournaments and tests. 

After all, she came from a prominent family within the clan, and her great grandpa used to be an elder. He passed away but her family was still rich. Not to mention that she received the clan's resources due to her alchemy talents. 

Just as Gang Xin was about to reply seriously and follow her, he saw something. 

"Me? What do they need me for?" Gang Xin smiled mischievously. He felt like this girl was quite an interesting character. 

After all, he had suddenly got a notification about it. 

However, Gang Mi Yu's brows furrowed after hearing his tone. Was this guy taking her, or the clan serious?

"Are you disobeying the clan?" her tone turned more threatful as she said harshly. However, there was also a hint of confusion. 

After all, the Gang Xin she knew was always a dedicated and hard working person. Not one to play around and be useless. 

'Maybe that injury changed him?' she thought. 

"No, no miss. I'll follow after you" Gang Xin shook his head and raised his hands. 

"Good. I'm not here to detain you or anything, the elders just called you. Now, follow after me" the frown slightly lessened as she turned back slightly and pointed.

That was the clan hall, and it was a big building in the center of the clan estate. 

As for Gang Xin, he started following Gang Mi Yu as he looked at the system notification.

'Destiny huh...' his eyes narrowed slightly, many thoughts revolving in his head. 

Was this the signaling of a mission? 

Was this like a main story line mission that progresses? 

Or was it like a main character type of thing that protagonists possessed? 

Or was the system trying to notify him about the arrival of something? 

What did it mean to find and investigate? And "sources?", there were multiple? Maybe they combined like the small gears of a machine that eventually turned the clock?

There were many questions, but no answers. However, one thing was indeed sure. 

It was that at the exact time this happened, Gang Mi Yu had come to him, telling him about the order of the clan. 

It was either connected to Gang Mi Yu, or to the event that was calling him...

A pity that he needed to be at least at the Meditations Mentor to learn the skill. He had a feeling that such things wouldn't happen very often.

Inside one of the rooms of the clan hall, 3 elders sat along with one middled aged man. The elders were the previous 3 elders that had previously supervised and then sentenced Gang Xin during his trial inside the Discipline Hall. 

As for the middle aged man, he had a high nose bridge and a very distinguished face as well. His eyes were sharp, and his short red hair seemed almost as if it would come to fire the next moment. 

On his belt, it read "Patriarch".

The patriarch of the Gang Clan was currently playing go with one of the three elders, the slightly old grandpa with hunched back. 

"I have heard the Yu Clan produced a talented alchemist, patriarch." the grandpa said. 

"Oh?" the patriarch moved a go piece. 

"Her name is Yu Rong. It says she was able to refine a pill after just entering the middle stage of Form Fighter. Remember, she's just 17." Elder Soo said from the side. 

"Now the Yu family has another genius amidst its midst then huh..." the remaining elder sighed. 

"Fortunately, a talent has also blossomed within our clan" the patriarch added. 

After he said so, the group of four were quiet. After all, was it really a latent talent? Or just a fluke?

Just as the grandpa was about to make another move, a knock sounded. 

Knock Knock 

"Elders, I have brought Gang Xin" Gang Mi Yu said. 

After receiving confirmation, she opened the door and entered alongside Gang Xin. 

However, the moment the three elders looked at Gang Xin, traces of surprise appeared on their faces. 

"Ah?" Elder Soo's mouth opened up, almost big enough for a duck's egg to fit in. 

"This- this, wasn't he just a 3 star Form Fighter before?!" one elder said. His eyes were also opened fully, as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. 

Hearing the elder, even the patriarch seemed to remember something as surprise got him. 

They all looked at Gang Xin incredulously.

Was the Punishment Pavillion not a place for punishment but a heavenly place for cultivation?! 

Why was it that not only had this youngster increased his cultivation from 3 star, he even reached 5th star and became a middle stage Form Fighter!
