I secretly bought the 5,000 points Zombie Serum and gave it to Saeko. It was a metal syringe with green liquid inside, filled to the brim.
"This is?" Saeko asked, looking at me curiously while holding the syringe in her hand.
"A virus that will mutate our genetics. From what I read, this will give you speed fast enough to travel 100 meters in under a second and the power to lift a car easily."
After I explained it, her eyes widened in shock, her mouth opened slightly. She looked at me in disbelief. Then, she shook her head.
"This... I... How?" she stammered, unable to speak properly.
I smiled wryly at her reaction, then continued, "I hid it. However, I don't know the side effects and I don't want to give you this, but... I have no other choice. If we're in a situation that requires it then I'll trust your judgement. I hope you won't have to use it."
I trusted her decision.
Among us, she was always the most cold-headed one. My sister wouldn't make a rash decision even when she was under immense pressure.
She had her own moral compass and always knew what she had to do.
She stared at me in silence for a moment before speaking up.
"You're really giving me a responsibility that is beyond my ability. If something happens to me, what would happen to you? You know how dangerous this is and yet, you still want to do this?"
I sighed and said, "Yes. That's why this is just assurance and nothing more. But I'm sure that this won't be needed. I really hope so."
The choice didn't tell me what mission it is. Which meant, the mission itself might not be that dangerous. In the worst case scenario, I would have to deal with some Tyrants.
And that's where my 40 Strength points came in handy. I was glad I chose to risk myself in the past to prepare for today.
Right now, I might be able to clash with Tyrant head on. I didn't know how strong the real Tyrant was, but I would find out soon.
Saeko was quiet after I told her all of this. She just sat on the bench and looked up at the sky. The night was still young, the air was fresh, and it was a beautiful evening.
The two of us enjoyed this silent moment together. The only sounds I heard were crickets chirping, and the rustling of leaves from trees nearby.
I didn't feel bored though.
However, that didn't change the heavy atmosphere that lingered around us. We instinctively realized the danger of moving to this evacuation zone and the future that awaits us.

General Adams sat in front of two STARS members as well as Minami Rika, a prospect that they would recruit. The table was set with a cup of coffee, and they drank it leisurely as the tension in the room grew.
The discussion with Daiki had ended a few minutes ago, and they had just finished discussing their plans. The STARS team had come here to help the evacuation successfully.
Their leader, Albert Wesker, was a genius in this kind of thing and had led the STARS team into many missions. He was the one who planned the evacuation too after getting information that the zombies were getting out of the quarantine zone.
And now, they had to discuss what they should do next.
"There is a strange movement in the mansion near the destroyed Raccoon City." Wesker started the discussion by presenting a document, "All members of bravo team dispatched to the area were killed by the creatures in there. I managed to survive by using an anti-BOW weapon. There were also other strange things that I discovered there."
"What do you mean?" Leon asked curiously.
"Bio weapon. Umbrella's failed experiments, creatures that can be controlled by certain sound frequencies." Wesker said and paused. He put down the paper he held, "That place is an Umbrella lab, I am certain. We can gather proof that the outbreak was caused by Umbrella there."
"Umbrella Corporation?" General Adams narrowed his eyes and leaned forward, interested.
"Yes. I will lead Alpha team and infiltrate the lab. We need to know what the company is doing there."
Leon's eyes widened. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, "The Umbrella Corporation? Is it really their fault?"
"Most likely. I haven't gathered enough evidence to conclude anything yet but it's almost certain." Wesker pushed his sunglasses up, and then he turned to Minami Rika, "Can we count on your cooperation, Miss Minami?"
"Call me Rika." The sniper woman said with a stern expression, "I will cooperate if you give me some authority. I want that boy under me, kept my friends safe and protected."
"Understood. I will assign him under your squad." Wesker nodded and looked at General Adams, "Sir, I will ask permission from you. I need to take him to our mission. We can't go to that mansion with our small numbers."
The General thought for a while. He knew that if they didn't stop the company now, more people would suffer from their evil deeds. They needed all the manpower they could get their hands on.
"Permission granted." General Adams said.
"Thank you." Wesker smiled.
"But..." General Adams added, "If there are casualties, you have to take full responsibility. And you can't force him to go with you, as he's a hired arm and not an official part of your team."
"Understood." Wesker replied, "We'll make sure to bring them back safely."
"Good. Now let's discuss our plan in detail."
