Dragon Ball Kaizen’s – Chapter 17 “The Arrival of the True God”

A New Fear Awakens

The battle against Kaizen had left the universe shaken. Even Beerus, the God of Destruction, had remained silent, sensing a disturbance beyond anything he had felt before.

Goku stood at the edge of the Lookout, gazing at the blue sky above Earth. His new form—the one that had erased Kaizen—still lingered in his mind. It wasn't Ultra Instinct, nor was it something he could fully understand.

What had he become in that moment?

Vegeta approached, arms crossed, his Ultra Ego aura still faintly crackling around him.

"Kakarot, I don't like this silence."

Goku nodded. "Yeah… It's too quiet."

Piccolo, Gohan, and Whis stood nearby. Even the angel's usual carefree expression had been replaced with one of calculated concern.

Whis turned his staff, observing the flow of time and energy within the cosmos. "Hmm… It seems Kaizen's defeat wasn't the end after all."

Vegeta scowled. "Tch. You're telling me that bastard might come back?"

Whis shook his head. "No. Kaizen is gone. But something… worse… is coming."

The Rift in Reality

Far beyond the mortal realm, in a void untouched by gods, a tear in space-time pulsed with dark energy.

A voice echoed from the other side.

"…Impressive."

A single golden eye emerged through the crack, peering into the mortal world. Unlike Kaizen's chaotic nature, this presence was calm. Absolute. Unshaken.

It wasn't destruction.

It wasn't chaos.

It was something beyond both.

A figure stepped forward, his body clad in an aura so powerful that even the fabric of the void trembled.

His voice was deep, resonant—commanding.

"So… one of you has touched the True Power. Interesting."

As the figure stepped fully through the rift, the entire multiverse trembled.

The Supreme Kai fell to his knees in terror. Beerus, sitting in his temple, snapped awake, sweat forming on his forehead.

Even Zeno—the King of All—glanced toward the disturbance with an expression no one had ever seen before.

Fear.

Earth – The Sky Turns Black

Goku and the others felt it before they saw it.

A wave of energy unlike anything before—not violent, not chaotic, but absolute—swept through Earth. The sky darkened instantly, the clouds twisting into unnatural patterns.

Gohan tensed. "What the hell is this…?!"

Whis lowered his staff. "…He has arrived."

A massive golden portal opened in the sky. From within, a tall figure descended slowly, as if time itself bowed to his presence.

He wore a dark robe adorned with celestial patterns, his piercing golden eyes gazing down at the world.

His power was not loud. Not overwhelming.

Yet it was incomprehensible.

Vegeta instinctively took a step back—his Saiyan instincts screaming at him that this was not an opponent they could measure.

The figure finally touched the ground, his expression calm.

Then, he spoke.

"Goku. Vegeta. You two are interesting."

Goku narrowed his eyes. "…Who are you?"

The being tilted his head slightly, as if amused by the question.

"I am Xyros. The True God."

Everyone froze.

A god beyond gods.

A being who had been watching them all along.

And he was here for one reason.

Xyros raised a single hand.

The entire planet shook.

Goku and Vegeta's bodies felt heavy. Their energy—crushed instantly.

Xyros wasn't fighting them.

He was simply existing.

And in that moment, they realized—Kaizen was nothing compared to this.

Goku clenched his fists. "…What do you want?"

Xyros smiled slightly.

"A battle."

His gaze sharpened.

"I want to see if mortals can entertain me."
