Chapter 5: Mastering Self-Instinct

Gray's Training Begins

Determined to surpass Necrosma, Gray sets out to find his grandfather, Grandmaster Oak. After traveling to a hidden mountain training ground, he finally locates him. Oak is already training the other Immortals, preparing them for the battles to come.

Gray: "Grandfather, I want you to train me. I need to master the Self-Instinct Technique completely."

Oak observes Gray for a moment before replying.

Grandmaster Oak: "You've already mastered 70% of it. You just need a little more training to perfect it."

Gray is surprised. He had been struggling with the technique, yet Oak knew exactly how far he had come.

The other Immortals begin their training as well. However, Lisa struggles to master Self-Instinct. Frustrated, she sighs.

Lisa: "Why is this so hard for me?"

Lyra, seeing her sister's struggle, offers a suggestion.

Lyra: "Lisa, you saw L using this technique against Team Ultra, right? He can probably teach you."

Gray, overhearing, pauses. He remembers seeing L using Self-Instinct effortlessly but never questioned how he had mastered it without training.

Gray (thinking): "How can L use any power without training? It doesn't make sense…"

Deciding not to dwell on it, Gray refocuses on his own training.

Lisa Seeks L's Help

Lisa, taking Lyra's advice, seeks out L and requests his help.

Lisa: "L, I can't seem to master Self-Instinct. Can you help me?"

L, as always, smiles confidently.

L: "Alright, let's begin."

After a few days of rigorous training, Lisa finally masters the technique. She feels immense gratitude towards L and… her feelings for him deepen even further.

Lisa (thinking): "L… you're truly incredible."

L's Strength Revealed

After their training, Gray approaches L, unable to shake the question from his mind.

Gray: "L, tell me… How are you this strong without training like us? When we first met on Earth, you were already beyond us."

L simply replies with a smirk.

L: "My power grows with every battle I fight."

The Immortals are stunned. L doesn't need to train—he just keeps getting stronger.

Hearing this, Grandmaster Oak grows curious.

Grandmaster Oak: "I want to see the power of my best friend's son. L, fight Gray."

Gray, eager to test L's strength, challenges him to a battle.

At full power, Gray attacks L with everything he has. But L, in his base form, easily handles him.

The Immortals watch in shock.

Bolt: "I'm faster than light… and Gray is even faster than me. Yet, he couldn't land a single hit on L!"

Gray (breathing heavily): "I still… couldn't touch you?"

L acknowledges Gray's power, giving him words of encouragement.

L: "You have great potential. If you and the others keep training, one day, you will defeat Necrosma."

Hearing this, Gray smiles and resumes his training with renewed determination.

Meanwhile… Team Ultra's Darkest Plan

Deep within Team Ultra's headquarters, Necrosma watches from his throne.

His most dangerous creation, Ultron, has been fully activated.

Necrosma: "The time for games is over. Ultron… begin Ultra Destruction."

With cold, mechanical precision, Ultron is sent to Earth.

The final battle for survival is about to begin…
