After the match, Cole saw a little girl with an orange ponytail rush onto the field toward Leon and give him a big hug. After greeting Raihan, the two of them left together.
Outside the arena.
"That was a great battle." Lysandre said.
Cole nodded, "Both of them are really strong! Maybe they're even a bit stronger than Diantha."
"Indeed." Lysandre agreed with a nod, "But which do you think is stronger, Dynamax or Mega Evolution?"
Cole stroked his chin thoughtfully, "That's hard to say — each has its own advantages. But Mega Evolution is clearly more versatile since you can use it anywhere, while Dynamax only exists in Galar, and even then, only in places with energy spots."
"That's true." Lysandre nodded, "But it's certainly an interesting topic for research."
Cole thought to himself: Why are you interested in everything? Dabbling in everything will only get you into trouble!
"Alright, shall we go?" Lysandre asked, noticing the nearly empty audience seats.
The tour guide, who had been silent until now, hurried over, "Is there anywhere else you would like to go?"
Cole and Lysandre exchanged a glance and simultaneously shook their heads.
"Let's call it a day. We've been to so many places — I'm really tired." Cole said.
"Then let's head back." Lysandre agreed.
As they walked out of the arena, they encountered a group of people at the entrance.
Leading them was a middle-aged man in a gray suit, followed by a tall, brown-haired woman, Leon, and the same little girl who had hugged him on the field.
Cole and Lysandre immediately recognized the middle-aged man as Rose, Chairman of the Galar Pokémon League and President of Macro Cosmos.
Behind him was Oleana, Vice President of Macro Cosmos and a renowned figure in the business world. Macro Cosmos' dominance in Galar owed much to her!
Before entering the business world, she had been a researcher — leading the team that invented the Dynamax Band.
Rose seemed surprised to see Lysandre, but then smiled broadly and approached.
"Well, what a coincidence! Isn't this Mr. Lysandre?" Although Rose had never met Lysandre in person, he had heard of him and was surprised to encounter him here.
But thinking of the upcoming auction in Hammerlocke — which he was organizing — Rose's surprise faded.
Lysandre smiled and extended his right hand.
"Chairman Rose, I've long heard of your reputation. It's truly an honor to meet you here."
Rose shook his hand and replied modestly, "No, no, it's I who has long admired Mr. Lysandre."
After exchanging pleasantries and introducing their companions, Cole learned that Rose had invited Leon to qualify for the gym challenge.
The battle with Raihan had been Leon's qualification test, which he had passed brilliantly.
The little girl next to Leon was his childhood friend Sonia.
Sonia was the granddaughter of Professor Magnolia, Galar's renowned Pokémon Professor.
Leon and Sonia had grown up together. She had inspired his dream of becoming a powerful trainer, and they had promised to become trainers together.
But Leon's extraordinary talent meant that once they began training, Sonia couldn't match him despite her best efforts. She eventually chose a different path, deciding to become a Pokémon researcher instead.
For now, though, she was working toward becoming her grandmother Magnolia's assistant.
She had accompanied Leon to Hammerlocke for his test out of concern for him.
Lysandre and Rose seemed to hit it off immediately — their enthusiastic conversation led them to arrange a meeting elsewhere, leaving a bewildered Cole standing aside.
"Cole, why don't you and Daisy go back first? I'll go chat with Chairman Rose." Lysandre said to Cole.
At the same time, Rose said to Leon, "Leon, why don't you and Sonia go ahead? I'll talk with Mr. Lysandre and explain the details about the gym challenge to you later."
Cole: "..."
Leon: "..."
And so Lysandre and Rose left together by car, with Oleana accompanying them as she usually did, leaving Cole, Daisy, Leon, and Sonia standing there looking at each other.
"Why don't... we find somewhere to sit too?" Leon suggested.
"Yeah, yeah!" Before Cole could answer, Sonia shouted happily. The lively girl walked up to Daisy with interest, "Cole, is this Gardevoir your Pokémon? Are you a Pokémon Trainer too?"
"No." Cole shook his head, "Daisy is actually my mother."
Hearing his reply, Daisy proudly lifted her head: Hmph~ Only I could raise such an outstanding child!
Leon: ( •_•)
Sonia: (´°○°`)
Both kids were stunned by his answer.
"R-really? Cole, you were actually born from Daisy? That's amazing! I've never heard of a Pokémon giving birth to a human before!" Sonia exclaimed, her eyes wide with curiosity, clearly misunderstanding something.
The key point was that Leon and Sonia wore exactly the same expression.
You two really are childhood friends, aren't you!
At that moment, Cole had a mischievous idea.
"That's right, I even inherited Psychic Powers from my mom!" As he spoke, Cole's eyes flashed with a purple glow, and he lifted Sonia into the air with his psychic abilities.
"Wow, wow, wow~~" She shouted excitedly, "That's amazing, that's amazing!"
It was her first time meeting a real Psychic.
Cole gently set her down, and she excitedly jumped to his side, her eyes sparkling as she grabbed his hand, "You must come find a place to chat with us!"
And so, Cole and Daisy were pulled along by Sonia and Leon to a café, where she peppered him with questions along the way.
She asked how Daisy had raised him, who his father was, whether he could turn into a Pokémon... Cole dodged all these questions with vague answers.
Neither Sonia nor Leon questioned his words at all, continually asking to see more of his psychic abilities.
Time flew by as the three chatted, and night had fallen before they knew it. Lysandre had already finished his meeting with Rose and returned to the villa on the outskirts.
When he noticed Cole hadn't returned, he called to check on him. Learning that Cole was with Leon and the others, he relaxed but reminded Cole not to stay out too late.
Though Lysandre typically treated Cole as an equal, being nearly ten years older, he couldn't help but sometimes act protective like an older brother.
As evening deepened, Cole suggested to Sonia and Leon that they should wrap things up.
Sonia, feeling like they hadn't talked enough, was reluctant to end their time together.
"We'll meet again soon." Cole said with a smile, "There will be plenty more chances to chat."
"Then let's exchange contact information!" Sonia suggested after considering this.
"Sure!" Cole agreed, and they all shared their details.

Meanwhile, at Macro Cosmos headquarters, Rose received an urgent phone call.
[President, we have an emergency. There's been an incident at the Power Plant — Eternatus is showing signs of awakening.] The caller reported, [We're also detecting an excessive leak of Dynamax energy.]
Rose's face darkened at this news, "Keep the situation under control — I'm coming right away!"
He started to rise but paused, then dialed Oleana's number instead.
Minutes later, she entered his office.
"Chairman, you needed me?"
"There's been an incident at the Power Plant." Rose said gravely, "I need you to investigate immediately."
Oleana's expression turned serious, "I understand. I'll go at once. Don't worry, President — we've handled everything fine before."
"Let's hope that remains true." Rose replied, his concern evident.

After exchanging contact information, Cole and the others left the café.
"Let's part ways here for today. We'll meet again when we have the chance." He said.
"Alright." Sonia nodded, waving, "Let's keep in touch by phone."
But just as they were about to go their separate ways, a massive dark red beam of light shot up from the direction of the Wyndon Stadium, turning the night sky crimson.
"Ahhh!!!"
With a thunderous crash, an enormous Alcremie burst from the ground, growing instantly to tower over the stadium.
A sweet, creamy aroma filled the air as the giant Pokémon appeared!
"Dynamax!!!" Cole, Sonia, and Leon exclaimed in unison.
"This is bad — there must be a Dynamax energy leak at the Wyndon Stadium!" Leon quickly understood the situation. The crimson pillar was unmistakably the sign of a Dynamax energy leak.
"Al~ Cre~ Mie!!"
When Pokémon Dynamax abnormally, they easily lose control. Having accidentally absorbed excess Dynamax energy, Alcremie had already gone berserk.
Its Trainer called out desperately, trying to bring it back to its senses, but failed.
The rampaging Alcremie began attacking the surrounding buildings, swinging its arms and flinging massive globs of cream everywhere. Roadsides, rooftops, streetlights, and lawns — everything was covered in cream within seconds.
Pedestrians found themselves buried under giant mounds of cream. Cars crashed into falling cream piles mid-drive. Even people inside their homes weren't safe as entire houses became covered.
Chaos erupted around the Wyndon Stadium.
"This is bad, we have to stop it!" Leon quickly released his Charizard, mounted up, and flew straight toward the threat.
Seeing this, Cole quickly grabbed his mom's hand, "Mom, let's go too!"
"Garde~ Garde~"
Daisy nodded, and together they activated their Psychic Powers, mother and son soaring into the sky.
"Hey, wait a minute! What am I supposed to do?!" Watching the two boys disappear into the sky, Sonia stamped her feet in frustration.

Cole and Leon swiftly arrived at the scene.
"Charizard, use Shadow Claw!" Leon commanded without hesitation, directing Charizard to attack Alcremie.
At this point, there was no reasoning with the berserk Alcremie — they had to subdue it first.
"Roar~"
Charizard's claws grew larger and glowed black as it lunged at its opponent, striking Alcremie's face with fierce precision.
"Alcremie!!!"
The blow sent Alcremie's head whipping to the side, nearly toppling the massive Pokémon. It fixed Charizard with an enraged glare.
"Alcremie~"
Suddenly, a pillar of pink light erupted from Alcremie toward Charizard and Leon.
That was G-Max Fairy!
As it unleashed its G-Max Fairy, pink mist spread across the ground beneath it.
It was Misty Terrain. Within Misty Terrain, the power of Dragon-type moves is halved.
The massive pink beam was about to engulf Charizard and Leon when a huge transparent barrier materialized before them, blocking the G-Max Fairy attack.
It was Daisy who had cast Light Screen just in time. Leon was surprised at first, then gratefully glanced at them.
Seeing its attack blocked, Alcremie grew even more enraged, hurling massive cream blobs in every direction.
Though Charizard skillfully evaded the attacks in mid-air, the cream splattered across the Wyndon Stadium grounds, intensifying the chaos below.
Cole and Daisy soared above Alcremie, appearing as tiny as ants beside the colossal Pokémon.
But these ants possessed enough power to bring down an elephant.
Mother and son joined their minds instantly, their eyes blazing with bright purple light. Within moments, Alcremie's cream-flinging movements ceased — frozen in place by their combined Psychic Power.
Under their tremendous psychic force, Alcremie slowly turned its head to face them.
Cole called out to Leon, "Now, attack!"
Leon nodded quickly as Daisy began emanating a brilliant rainbow light.
"Charizard, Flamethrower!"
"Daisy, Dazzling Gleam!"
