Grandpa Newt and I stayed inside the suitcase for a long time. My nature affinity talent proved very helpful in dealing with the magical creatures inside. It was fun to be there, and Newt promised to bring me back in the evening. With that, we stepped out.
As we entered the living room, we found everyone gathered around Ho-Oh. At that moment, I remembered that I had told her to appear in front of everyone after an hour.
Ho-Oh turned toward me and chirped in dissatisfaction. While we were conversing telepathically, Grandma Queenie asked, "Little Jam, do you know him?"
I began my storytelling. I explained that it was Arcanine who had invited Ho-Oh to come. Arcanine and this Phoenix were friends, and many of their other friends would likely visit in the future. Grandpa Newt nodded in understanding. "Nowadays, due to urbanization, the territories for magical creatures are shrinking. Perhaps they feel threatened and have started seeking refuge elsewhere."
I couldn't help but cheer internally at his perfect assist.
"So... will he stay here?" Grandpa Jacob asked, still keeping his eyes on the Phoenix.
"Grandpa, the Phoenix is a she. Moreover, she told me that she enjoys being my friend," I replied. At that moment, both Arcanine and Ho-Oh moved closer to me, proving their fondness for my company.
Just as Grandma Tina was about to ask another question, Fawkes appeared, chirping happily upon seeing me. However, as soon as he noticed Ho-Oh, he stopped mid-air and gently landed in front of her. No matter what anyone said, it looked as if a superior had caught a junior. Everyone noticed this behavior, and Grandpa Newt burst into laughter. Then, the doorbell rang.
It was no surprise—Fawkes's presence meant that Dumbledore was at the door. "Why is he visiting again? Newt, is there something you're hiding?" Grandma Tina questioned. Leaving them to their thoughts, I climbed onto Arcanine's back and rushed to open the door. Standing there was Dumbledore, and beside him—Snape?
The next moment, I heard Snape murmur, "Lily!"
Dumbledore cleared his throat. "Ahem, Cain, Fawkes was throwing tantrums to see you. And since I had some business nearby, Fawkes dropped me here. While I'm busy, could you please look after him?"
"Don't worry, Grandpa. Fawkes will be happy to meet my new friend," I replied, waving my hand. I didn't mind having Fawkes around. We often shared secrets about Dumbledore.
"Yes, Arcanine... that's his name, right? I see you get along well with him," Dumbledore observed, nodding happily.
"No, no. This is a new Phoenix. I named her Ho-Oh. She arrived today," I announced, dropping a bombshell.
Dumbledore's eyes widened. "A Phoenix?"
"Ho-Oh," I called out while still seated on Arcanine's back.
With a burst of fire, Ho-Oh appeared, and Fawkes followed closely behind. However, it was clear that Fawkes behaved as if he were a junior following a senior. Watching this, I noticed Dumbledore's lips twitching.
"I'll return in the evening. We... we can talk then. Cain, I'll send you some food that Fawkes likes. Maybe you can try feeding your... friend," Dumbledore said, smiling before he left.
All the while, I noticed Snape staring at me. Well, I did have an extreme charm, but his gaze was different. There was surprise and a hint of melancholy in his eyes. I decided to ignore it and went back inside. I still had to eat, help Grandpa Jacob, accompany Grandpa Newt in the evening, and write a diary entry. Oh, right! Tonight, Newt was going to take me to the part of his suitcase where he kept dragons.

Meanwhile, outside the house, Snape turned to Dumbledore and demanded, "That's..... Cain Potter. The very same red hair, green eyes and Lily's look. You must have found him very early, Dumbledore. So why is he not with the Dursleys? You kept both brothers apart. Are you planning to sacrifice Cain for Harry? What are you trying to achieve?"
Before Snape could say more, he noticed Dumbledore halt mid-step. Looking back at the Kowalskis' house, Dumbledore spoke. "You know very well under what circumstances we lost Cain. That night, the battle at Godric's Hollow made Voldemort desperate to kill both Harry and Cain. While James and Lily took Harry, Remus and Sirius took Cain and fled in different directions. But we underestimated Voldemort. He personally pursued Harry, leading to his own downfall due to Lily's protective enchantment. Meanwhile, we know what happened between Remus and Sirius."
"Of course," Snape spat. "Sirius lost his mind and went after Pettigrew, while Remus had to fight off Death Eaters alone. In desperation, he placed Cain in front of an orphanage and obliviated his own memory to keep Cain's location hidden. Don't tell me you had no idea where Cain was, Dumbledore. I refuse to believe the all-knowing Dumbledore couldn't find him."
Dumbledore shook his head. "You overestimate me, Severus. I couldn't find him, no matter what. It was only three years ago when Newt sent me a picture of Cain that I recognized him. To be honest, Voldemort is not dead. He will return... and soon. That misunderstanding made me cautious. Cain's abilities are overwhelming. His affinity with animals, his control over plants, his magic to rejuvenate ancient trees, and—above all—his incredibly powerful Seer talent. I even questioned whether an ancient wizard's soul resided within him. At such a young age, he has given me too many surprises. But none compare to..."
He paused before continuing. "Let's go, Severus. I need to show you something."
Principal's Office, Hogwarts
The office was silent, except for Dumbledore's occasional finger taps on his desk. Every other person in the room was deep in thought.
"Cain... he's an Obscurus?" Snape finally spoke, his voice shaking with anger. "You promised me, Dumbledore. You promised me no harm would come to them."
Minerva McGonagall, Pomona Sprout, and Filius Flitwick remained silent, their expressions filled with concern. They were happy to be able to find Cain but him being Obscurial... it was beyond their thoughts.
"But you've seen how he controls it. Never have I heard of an Obscurus like Cain's," Dumbledore replied, though his fingers kept tapping. "I know more about Obscurials than anyone here."
Everyone present understood the meaning of his words... Ariana and Credence... Both obscurial from the same Dumbledore family.
"Albus... what do you have in mind?" Minerva asked. She knew his habits well. His desk tapping meant he had a plan.
"Occult magic," Dumbledore admitted. "I fear that if he learns about his parents, he will dive into Occultism to search for them. You've seen how easily he performs soul rituals. I wanted to stop him, but even I couldn't help but hope for his success. Even though I have longed to see Ariana again, I cannot—absolutely cannot—let Cain be consumed by forbidden knowledge. I asked Newt to distract him with magical creatures, and I urged Queenie and Jacob to enroll him in a Muggle school. So far, Cain has lived surrounded by love, and I want to preserve that. But..."
He hesitated before revealing, "Queenie and Jacob are aging backward. Queenie's blond hair is returning, and Jacob has regained his flexibility. His knee and back pain are gone. I believe it's because of Cain."
A heavy silence followed as they compared the recent photos Newt had sent. The realization settled in: it was true.

Kowalski House
As I prepared a meal, I demonstrated my wandless magic, occasionally discussing the various magical creatures I had encountered in Grandpa Newt's suitcase. Although Grandma Tina was initially upset that I had ventured inside—especially since most of the creatures were classified as dangerous—she eventually calmed down after seeing how well I got along with them. Grandma Queenie reassured her, explaining my natural affinity with animals.
In the evening, Grandma Queenie eagerly agreed to join us to take some pictures of me with the creatures. What started as a simple plan soon turned into a mini picnic, with everyone deciding to explore the suitcase together. Meanwhile, Fawkes, Arcanine, and Ho-Oh were napping in the living room. Since my summoned creatures, being products of the system, could converse only among themselves and not with Fawkes, they had nothing better to do in my absence and dozed off.
It was decided that we would enter the suitcase after sending Fawkes off. While discussing ways to increase my trust level with the system, I came across two intriguing options: Memory Sharing and Memory Creation. The Memory Sharing feature allowed me to embed images or videos into the diary, but only if they were real memories—I couldn't fabricate events. On the other hand, Memory Creation was currently inactive, but once unlocked, it would enable me to create memories for the diary holder to experience. However, the system warned me that anything I created—be it people, powers, or abilities—would exist in reality, making it a tool to be used with great caution.
But for now, I was exicited meet the Dragons.
