Family Love part 1

"Cain, you must have noticed the strange behavior of Professor Snape and Harry towards you... I wanted to tell you earlier, but I couldn't find the right moment or the right words to explain the truth," Dumbledore said. He knelt, bending to me at my eye level. Stroking my face gently, he continued, "You and Harry are brothers. You both share the same parents—James Potter and Lily Potter."

I suddenly opened my eyes, startled. Looking around, I found myself in my room. Realization dawned upon me—it was my seer talent that had shown me a vision. I was dressed in my Gryffindor uniform, meaning I would be sorted into Gryffindor House. The dream had also revealed that, at some point in the future, Dumbledore would inform me of my true connection to Harry. That explained why Snape had been staring at me with a mix of shock and sorrow. It also clarified Dumbledore's astonishment at seeing a Phoenix with me, while Snape had kept his eyes fixed on my face. Now, I understood why I had the same hair and eye color as Lily Potter.

Letting out a sigh of relief, I felt grateful for my divination abilities. They would help me weave more convincing lies—I mean stories, yes how can I be a liar.

Getting out of bed, I walked towards the window. Pulling back the curtains, I welcomed the gentle morning sunlight.

"System, show me the notifications from yesterday's diary log."

[Ding! Congratulations on fooling Harry Potter. Trust rate: 92%. Professional Quidditch flying talent acquired.]

[Ding! Congratulations on fooling Hermione Granger. Trust rate: 82%. Eye of Insight acquired.]

[Ding! Congratulations on fooling Ariana Dumbledore. Trust rate: 95%. Eldritch Constructs acquired.]

[Ding! Congratulations, host, for crossing the 90% trust level for two diary holders. The host has earned two lottery draws and two new diary holders.]

[New diary holders searching...]

[New diary holders identified: Albus Dumbledore and Nagini.]

[Initiating two lottery draws...]

[Advanced Patronus Charm acquired.]

[Wanda Maximoff acquired. Wanda Maximoff is a year older than the host, with all her memories erased and modified.]

I groaned and fell back onto my bed. I had really made a mistake by stepping out of bed with my left leg first. Although the system's rewards were useful and suited me well, this time I had truly outdone myself. Letting out a deep sigh, I stared at the ceiling, contemplating on my new abilities.

After a while, I began assessing my system gifts. The Quidditch skill granted me professional-level flying talent, along with knowledge of all the moves and techniques used in the sport. A fitting gift, considering I had earned it through my new 'brother' Harry Potter.

The Eye of Insight was not overwhelmingly powerful, yet it had its uses. Gaining Hermione's trust has always been a slow process, but this ability allowed me to perceive the flow of magic and determine whether someone was a friend, neutral, or an enemy.

The Eldritch Constructs took me by surprise. This mystical ability, famously used by Doctor Strange, was incredibly versatile. With it, I could conjure shields, hammers, swords, spears—virtually any weapon or tool at any time. The most astonishing part was that I could even teach this magic to others. Its greatest advantage? It had the potential to resist the Unforgivable Curses.

As for the new diary owners, I couldn't help but shake my head. Albus Dumbledore and Nagini… This was going to be interesting.

Well, nothing could be done about it now.

Wait a minute, Nagini. "System, explain—how can a snake read a diary? Isn't she a Maledictus?"

[The host undermines the system. If a soul can read a diary, then why can't a living being read it? Moreover, the host is reminded that while Nagini may have fully transformed into a snake, her soul remains independent of the blood curse.]

Hearing this, I understood. Then, I voiced my doubts about Wanda. "System, is she really a living being? Will she retain her powers? And moreover, where do I find her?"

[ Ding! The host may rest assured that Wanda Maximoff is a real, living person. Her memories and childhood have been modified by God, just as was the case with the host, ensuring that the host did not have to start life as an infant. She will retain all her powers, but for now, she is a fledgling—a true novice in magic and its abilities. The host need not worry about searching for her; the system will arrange an appropriate meeting between the host and Wanda Maximoff. ]

Hearing this, I fell silent. Leaving the matter at the back of my mind, I turned my attention to the last gift—Advanced Patronus Charm. After reviewing its abilities, I was dumbstruck. It was incredible. My Patronus was not fixed; it could take any form I imagined. Moreover, unlike a traditional Patronus, which is only effective against Dementors, mine could be used to fight against wizards and witches.

I couldn't help but smile at the thought of my Patronus taking the form of a dragon and wreaking havoc on Death Eaters. Perhaps I had a weird expression on my face because Arcanine let out a low purr, as if worried that his master had gone mad.

Shaking the strange thoughts from my mind, I got up to get ready. Today, I needed to earn more money for the orphanage.

.....

Reaching Grandpa Jacob's bakery, I opened the entrance door. The ringing bell made everyone look at me.

"At last! Here comes our star. Cain, hurry up. I've been waiting for you since morning!"

"Oh my God! I finally met you, Little Jam! About my daughter—will she get the job or not?"

"Cain, look at this property deed. See if it's going to cause any problems or if it's perfect."

"Little Jam, just check if my son will get admitted or not."

Requests flowed in from all directions. This was a regular scene every Friday inside Grandpa's bakery. Every week, I came to do divination, and with the money I earned, I donated to the orphanage every Saturday. This had been my routine for the past three years. The whole town knew about my talent, but they also knew moderation. I had never seen them behave badly toward me, nor did they allow any outsider to approach me. Over the years, I had come to feel their concern and love.

I started doing divination while the bakery items were sold at a faster rate than usual.

At noon, when I finally rose from my seat after three hours of exhausting divination, I noticed a girl my age staring at me. Even without using mind magic, I could sense her hesitation to approach me. Running to Grandpa Jacob, I took a strawberry cake from him and walked up to her. Tiptoeing, I placed the cake on the table in front of her. Giving her a small smile, I turned to leave.

"Do you have magical powers?" I heard her voice behind me. Startled, I turned back. Seeing no one else around, I slightly nodded my head. When she saw me nod, she smiled, then got up from her chair and walked up to me.

"I knew it! My red friend told me to come and meet you. He said that you will help me. Oh! My name is Wanda Maximoff. I'm a powerful witch."

I stood there, frozen, staring at the girl who had just introduced herself as Wanda Maximoff.
