The next morning, Marcus left the mansion, but not before sending a team of guards to keep a watchful eye on Sophia. He instructed them to ensure her safety and comfort, and to grant her any request she might have, no matter how big or small.
"Except, of course, for any attempt to escape," Marcus added, his voice firm but measured. "She is not to leave the premises under any circumstances. Is that clear?"
The guards nodded in unison, their faces expressionless. "Yes, sir. Crystal clear."
Marcus nodded, satisfied that Sophia would be well taken care of. He knew that she might still try to find ways to escape, but he was confident that the guards would be able to prevent that from happening.
As he left the mansion, Marcus couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He knew that he had taken a risk by kissing sophia, and now he could barely go a day without her but he needed to leave as he had a business to run.

Sophia paced back and forth in her room, her eyes fixed on the clock on the wall. It had been a week since Marcus had left the mansion, and he still hadn't returned.
At first, Sophia had been relieved to have some time to herself. She had spent her days painting, reading, and exploring the mansion. But as the days turned into a week, Sophia began to feel a growing sense of unease.
Where was Marcus? Why hadn't he come back? Sophia's mind was filled with questions, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.
She stopped pacing and walked over to the window, staring out at the gardens below. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the landscape. But Sophia's eyes weren't on the view - they were on the gates, wondering when Marcus would come back through them.
Sophia sighed and turned away from the window. She knew she had to stop worrying about Marcus. After all, she was a captive, and he was her captor. She shouldn't care about his whereabouts.
But despite her best efforts, Sophia couldn't shake off the feeling that she was invested in Marcus's return. She had grown accustomed to his presence, and the mansion felt empty without him.
As the night drew in, Sophia decided to take matters into her own hands. She walked over to the door and called out to the guards.
"Excuse me," she said, trying to sound calm. "Do you know when Marcus will be returning?"
The guards exchanged a glance, and one of them stepped forward.
"We're not sure, miss," he said. "But we'll make sure to let you know as soon as he arrives."
Sophia nodded, trying to hide her disappointment. She knew she had to be patient, but it was hard to shake off the feeling that something was off.
As she walked back to her bed, Sophia couldn't help but wonder what was going on. Where was Marcus, and when would he come back?
That evening Sophia stepped out of the shower, the warm water cascading down her body as she reached for a towel. She wrapped it around herself, but as she began to dry off, she realized she had left her robe downstairs.
Shrugging, Sophia dropped the towel and walked naked to her bedroom, intent on grabbing a robe from her closet. She had grown accustomed to the freedom of the upstairs, where the guards rarely ventured. It was her own private sanctuary, and she felt safe and alone.
As she entered her bedroom, Sophia failed to notice the figure standing in the shadows. Marcus had returned to the mansion, his arrival quiet and unannounced. He had come upstairs, seeking Sophia, and now he stood frozen, his eyes fixed on her naked form.
Sophia, oblivious to Marcus's presence, walked over to her closet, her hips swaying gently as she moved. Marcus's eyes followed her, his gaze burning with intensity. He felt a surge of desire, his body responding to the sight of Sophia's naked beauty.
As Sophia reached for a robe, Marcus finally found himself and suddenly turned .which notified sophia of his presence.
Sophia spun around, screamed out loud, her eyes widening as she saw Marcus standing in her bedroom. She felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she realized he had seen her nakedness, she hastily grabbed a robe, wrapping it around herself.
"I...I didn't know you were uncladed," Marcus stammered, his eyes locked on Sophia's.
Sophia's eyes locked onto Marcus's, her heart still racing from the shock of being caught naked. She felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she realized he had seen her in all her vulnerability. But as she looked deeper into his eyes, she saw a glimmer of something unexpected - respect.
Marcus's gaze didn't linger on her body; instead, it met hers with a quiet intensity. He didn't seem to be enjoying her embarrassment or discomfort. On the contrary, he appeared to be apologizing, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he spoke.
Sophia's instincts told her that Marcus wasn't the kind of man to take advantage of a woman's vulnerability. He seemed to be genuinely sorry for intruding on her privacy.
Marcus took a step forward, his eyes never leaving Sophia's face. "I arrived a little while ago," he said, his voice still low and husky. "I didn't mean to intrude. I just thought to check on you….I'll leave."
Marcus turned to leave.
Sophia's heart was racing, her mind reeling with the implications of what had just happened. But what she saw as she looked into Marcus's eyes, gave her pause.
Something that made her wonder if maybe, just maybe, Marcus wasn't the enemy she thought he was.
Marcus stepped into his room, shutting the door behind him. He leaned against the door, his eyes closing as he let out a deep breath. He couldn't shake off the image of Sophia's naked body from his mind. He had seen her for just a brief moment, but it was enough to ignite a fire within him.
He fantasized about holding her close, feeling her soft skin against his. He imagined running his hands over her curves, exploring every inch of her body. His desire for her was overwhelming, and he couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to make love to her.
Marcus's eyes snapped open, and he pushed himself off the door. He walked over to the window, staring out into the night. He felt restless, his body yearning for Sophia's touch.
He knew he had to be careful. Sophia was still a captive, and he couldn't let his desires cloud his judgment. But as he stood there, looking out into the darkness, Marcus couldn't help but feel drawn to her.
He turned away from the window, his eyes scanning the room. He needed a distraction, something to take his mind off Sophia. But as he looked around, he knew it was no use. Sophia was all he could think about.
