Hello Little One

A starless pitch black sky, only illumination being from a sparkling purple moon- revealing an endless valley bombarded by rainbow coloured flowers that danced along the constant changing in intensity wind. The air was pulsating with a massaging force.

That's what Ben met when he woke up, even stranger to him was that his entire body was a blur, although he could see properly, but he felt… Clear. With each breath he felt a chill pleasing flowery aroma circulate his body before leaving his body the same, when last did he breath normally. He took deep breaths in and out consecutively, his lungs stretched and compressed itself with no pain, his heart beat with no pulsing uncomfort, no headache, and…

He took a stroll, a blurred smile appeared shining on him, no pain when walking. He started jumping around and screaming in victory, the flowers his feet crushed kept springing up with no sign of any damage from each jump, joy overflowing in him. He was so dead, finally he died.

His family? He froze in his tracks, memories of Owen's incident sparked in his head. He felt something over him.

"Hello there little one." A deep reverbing voice echoed from behind him, he turned around while walking back. His blurred eyes widened.

A bulky man, towering over Ben, wearing a purple baggy flustering robe that covered everywhere from chest down, his head was a vibrating blur that had visible dim rainbow aura hovering around.

Ben froze when some distance had been built. He realized that whoever the man was, if he wanted to harm him then it would be easy. Rather than sneak up on him, he greeted him… Little one?

The man remained motionless, his robe dancing with the wind. Ben waved at him since he hadn't returned a greeting yet.

"Hello sir, how was your…" Ben stopped his greeting, and glanced at the sky that was still pitch black unsure if it would ever change.

"How are you?" Ben asked instead.

The man vanished and appeared in front of him, crouched to a level that made their blurred heads face each other. Ben jumped back, the rainbow aura, that was hovering around the man, struck his neck, instantly coiling around it and freezing in mid-air from jumping further away.

Ben rose his hands up in surrender.

But he didn't feel any suffocating effect as the man stood up, his aura carrying him at the same time. Ben didn't move a single body part, hoping to not make this awkward situation worse.

What did he say wrong? Was he meant to bow to the man or something?

"My name is Ashish, what's yours?" The man asked, his voice filled with kind curiosity. Ben, although not liking how he was held, felt relieved of the man not having any evil intention, yet.

"Ben. It's nice to meet you Ashish, where am I? If you can please answer." Ben asked, trying to make out the man's head out of the blurriness. Nothing.

"No need to be formal, I just here to give you a quick rundown before you go." The man answered, Ben frowned. What did he mean 'before he go.' He waited for the man to continue.

"You are given something beautiful Ben, something I want to plead with you to appreciate… A new life. Second chance." The man continued, his voice filled with joy.

Ben felt cheerful, he could then go back to his…

The man's aura smashed him onto the ground, Ben bounced off with no pain sensation felt, he in fact fwlt nothing, the aura clutched him when he reached a certain height, and flinged him away.

His body rolled with impact through the ground, leaving a streak of rumbled flowers along his path that later sprung back up in perfect health. Ben, despite all that felt no pain at all. He was still in shock of why the man just attacked him, he probably couldn't feel any pain in wherever this is. It didn't make him comfortable still.

He stood up, the man was in front of him. His rainbow aura spiralling around him.

"Just to make things clear, you are getting a new life in a new world, and by new life I mean entering a deceased person's body. You have read these stories from where you came from, right?" The man asked his voice still filled with joy and curiosity despite what he just did, he was acting like he didn't just fling him a long distance away.

He couldn't tell how far he flew since everyone looked the same, plus the flowers he hit had comeback looking like nothing had happened. His brain was processing a lot of things, especially now he wasn't going back to his world. He had really beg. He read some of those reincarnation stories, with a few of characters having chance to return. Je wanted to return.

 "Sir, please…"

Right before he could even beg his soul out, in a flash the man smacked him away. His body flew high, he still felt nothing as he reached a certain height before dropping, he felt nothing as he dropped.

The man appeared above him, and double-stomeped his back, driving his body into the ground. The result was a large boom, no dust or crack.

Nothing. Ben had confirmed he couldn't feel any pain here, he wondered if the man knew?

He was raised up from the ground, it was the man's aura. He wondered if he could do the same, but asking now would not be wise. Plus he couldn't feel anything, so there wasn't need to worry.

He was brought to the man's face, their faces nearly touching from how close they were.

"You can't go back, don't be naive. It doesn't matter if you left multiple children behind and you are the breadwinner, you can't go back. Whether you like it or not, you are catching this second life chance, come on. Do you really want to go back and start injecting yourself again with pain medication, every movement is pain, another new cancer treatment… You want to go back?" The man's question made Ben contemplate.

He couldn't go through that life again, he was hoping that maybe he would be brought back healthy… Yeah that wasn't possible, the man said it himself that even if he said yes. He wasn't going back to his world again.

"You don't appreciate this chance, none of you ever do." The man's words made Ben confused, none of who?

Ben was smashed down, the man jumped up, disappearing into the sky before falling towards him. Ben didn't bother moving, the man was using him to vent. Since he can't feel any damage then there wasn't an issue in him letting him vent out his anger. He wondered what-

The man slammed onto him, shockwave sent disrupted the flowers which quickly rose back. There wasn't any crater or sign of ground breaking, just the man on top of him. Ben felt chill flowery breath to his face.

"You don't understand, you are going to go. I will remain here until, I don't know when the next random soul comes here. I can't eat, don't feel hungry, no pain, can't remove these stupid flowers, no matter how hard I hit, and trust me I have tried. Nothing ever happens but sound. And the sky is always the same, it beautiful for like the first… God I don't even know the time I have spent here, I can't even sleep, oh, and I can't also kill myself. Nothing receives damage here. I don't even know why I am placed here, my voice is always the same damn kind and happy tone, I can't cry." The man whispered to him. The whole monologue was in the same joyful, and curious tone. It was weird.

Ben was in shock, the man was always here. That's horrible, that's hell. He couldn't imagine spending forever here in this state, his mind would snap. Couldn't even sleep, what were you to do?

"That's horrible, how have you been coping?" Ben asked, he felt for the man. Having nobody to talk to, nobody to share your thoughts with. If Ben didn't have that when he was in his world then he wouldn't have lasted long. He had his friends and family with him that constantly bombarded him about their day, people they hate, they would also ask him about how he felt. It made that hell of a life bearable. It would make anyone's hard life bearable.

"I can't remember anything about myself, only memories of the souls like you that come here. That's my only entertainment, I have no purpose but to forcefully transmigrate souls that manage to appear here to different worlds. They just placed me here.

Don't ask who, I don't know either. I only know I was created by them, they didn't even give me a name.

Ashish was just one of the souls that came. I can't take it anymore." The man said, his voice still the same pitch of joy.

"But I can't help you, if there is a way to help you-"

"Ben, please… Can we just sit down? And talk. Before I send you, let's just talk about life." Ashish said, Ben gave a blurry smile and nodded. Why wouldn't he say yes?

They both sat on the ground.

"I know everything about you though. Nothing interesting in talking about you, my life is just there. Let's just get this over with." The man said, Ben nodded.

"Why Ashish?" Ben asked, putting all his attention on the man, who chuckled from the question.

"The person, he was like five souls before you came. He was a boxer, and died in the ring after refusing to stay down, while still losing the fight.

Left a kid and a wife behind, I just asked why? He said he never liked his daughter, wanted a son, and called his wife an annoying mule. If he had not died in the ring, he would have returned home and punched her to stupor.

He was happy he died, he knew he had problems. The most interesting story I just recently heard, that name just stuck to me, plus the name was unique." The man narrated

Ben was shocked at the story.

 "Where is he?"

"Him, he was put in a wizard world. The world thing is pre-ordered by… You know, them. They put me where they want you to go, can't spoil where the souls will go to them as they would just merge memory with the body they possess. Can't sadly check any soul's progress in the world though, I wish him well." The man answered.

"Body that will be possessed, will I-"

"The body is dead, unknown to family who will think you are in a coma, if he has a family, by the time you enter. Just wake, and say you changed through whatever." The man answered, and Ben felt a lot better about entering a body.

They talked on and on, the sky never changed. Everything remained the same as Ben asked questions which the man answered. It was a slow question and answer.

Ben was starting to feel sleepy during discussion.

"That's what happens when a soul spends too much time here. They did that for this reason, thank you Ben. I shall make my name Ben too, if ever I can leave. I will find you." The man said, his rainbow aura rotating at high speed.

"I tried this several times to myself, nothing. Thank you Ben, here is a gift. Only for those who… actually, I rarely give this. But it's just a boost to the world you go to. Goodbye friend."

The rainbow engulfed Ben, who used the remaining strength to wave at the man
