The Rejection

Amelia's POV

I was still hit with the shock that the strange guy with charming blue eyes that I had been blushing at was actually the Lycan king.

But why is he not behaving like a Lycan king like he is? Instead, he's willing around like an ordinary warrior. I thought...

"I'm Marrock!" He said. This time around his charming voice came out more bold, sweet, and sexy.

"It was nice meeting you, Lycan King Marrock," I said, bowing my head happily.

My heart suddenly turned sore when I saw Kessler walk hand-in-hand with my sister.

My heart thundered as I felt betrayed and stabbed in the back by the people I love.

I held back the tears that were planning to fall so they wouldn't ruin my make-up.

Not as if he wanted to hold my hand in the first place, but the betrayal I just witnessed was like a hot knife that is being used to cut through an open wound.

The care, love, and attention he gave to Elena at the banquet made the guests wonder if I was the actual Luna or Elena was, maybe I was just supporting them.

The embarrassment was too much for me so I tried moving to the bathroom to clean myself up. As stupid as I was, I missed my step again as if he was always waiting to catch me.

I looked up and saw the beautiful charming eyes of the Lycan king.

His hands felt very warm and caring; it felt like I could stay there forever, but I quickly stood up and muttered a thank you to him.

He nodded at me smiling.

I was about to move away from his side when someone out of nowhere suddenly pushed me with their shoulders. It took all the strength in me not to hit the ground.

I looked around to see the bastard that had just pushed me and realized it was Kessler.

"You should just pull off your dress and make out with him in public because you've clearly disgraced the crescent pack," Kessler yelled at me, staring at Marrock disgustingly.

"How dare you say that? How am I disgracing the crescent pack?" I asked confusedly and angry.

I was tired of his nagging and so I couldn't hold myself back any longer.

He had the audacity to cheat on me and still dared to shout at me in public.

"You are an ungrateful bitch who is hell-bent on disgracing this pack," Kessler said angrily.

That's the height of it. I can't take it anymore. How dare he say I was ungrateful for everything I have done for his pack and himself?

I have to spill out the truth to everyone here and now even if it takes me losing my goddamn respect.

"Well, if you say I'm ungrateful, then I am very proud of that, do you know why?" I asked, smirking.

Kessler shook his head in response.

"Because I don't go after all ladies, especially sisters. That's not even the least, you go around forgetting to perform your duties as the Alpha while I am up all night doing everything." I blurted out angrily.

"Don't you dare insult him!" Elena said, stepping forward.

"What are you going to do about that you shameless ingrate?" I yelled back at Elena.

"Don't you dare call me a shameless ingrate!" Elena blurted back.

"If I do, what are you capable of doing to me?" I asked, smirking dangerously at Elena.

"At least I'm a shameless ingrate that goes around throwing myself at someone in my class while you throw yourself at someone higher than your class who is clearly going to ditch you," Elena said, rolling her eyes at Marrock.

"Don't you dare insult me, young lady!" The Lycan king said calmly but his voice had a lot of command in it. His voice alone was like heaven on Earth.

"What will you do if she dares insult you?" Kessler asked, facing Marrock not minding the position Marrock held in the werewolf realm.

"Wow! So he really cares about her this much," I thought, staring at Kessler.

"Did you just raise your voice at me?" The Lycan king asked Kessler.

"Yes, I just did that, and I will continue if you dare raise your voice at her," Kessler said, pointing at Elena.

I was shocked at how angry Kessler was because ever since we got married, I'd never seen him get angry about anything before, but right now, his veins were clearly visible like he was ready to do anything to protect Elena.

"You should stop right now, Kessler; you are going way above your limit," I suddenly voiced out when I saw that everything was turning into something else.

Kessler rolled his eyes at me angrily but turned back to Marrock.

"You should be ashamed of yourself, you are here flirting with an Alpha's Luna when you are supposed to be in control of everything happening here," Kessler said out of anger.

I proceeded to get into their midst before they started using their power against each other when I suddenly heard Elena cry out in pain.

Looking at her, I knew she was faking it for attention but I just laughed it off.

"What are you laughing at bitch? To tell you the truth, I regret choosing you as my mate." Kessler said, taking me off balance.

I never expected such a word from him.

"Are you trying to reject your Luna publicly?" Marrock asked in a calm tone.

"This has nothing to do with you," Kessler said.

"It has something to do with me because I am the Lycan king. You are the Alpha of the crescent pack doesn't mean you should go about treating people like trash.

This shows how stupid and incompetent you are," Marrock said.

Kessler got angry when he realized that someone of a higher class was defending me.

"You should have told me your intentions in private instead of us raising voices at each other.

You can have her all to yourself since she's a whore already." Kessler said.

"Are you rejecting me?" I asked, trying to get a clue of what he meant.

"Yes, I will continuously reject you till the day it gets to your skull," Kessler said angrily.
