Amelia's POV
After making sure that everywhere was sparkling clean, I walked up to my room to take a shower before attending to other things.
I needed to make sure that everything was perfect before I was finally able to rest. I picked up my phone and scrolled through social media while walking out.
Thank goodness what happened at the banquet yesterday was there, if not, I will be too scared and ashamed to step a foot outside my room.
I prepared myself and left for the market with some omegas. We were to get ornaments for both Kessler and me.
Since I had someone who sold it to me already, I went straight to her and purchased the ornaments. We looked for other things around the market and added them to our cart before we left for the supermarket to get the rest of the items.
It was really a tiring one, but I had no other choice, and I wouldn't send someone to purchase something for me because I might end up not liking it.
I got back home and walked up to the kitchen to recheck what they were doing; I just needed to make sure everything came out perfect because I wanted to use this dinner to apologize to everyone, and I didn't want it flopping.
"Everything is going just perfectly," Raina said immediately when she noticed my presence in the kitchen.
"Thanks, Raina; I know I could always count on you," I said to her, smiling.
"What else do you need to finish up?" I asked, walking straight into the kitchen center.
"We are almost done here so that some of the omegas can move outside to clean the surroundings," Raina said.
"Oh okay, that's nice," I replied.
I was still walking around the kitchen when an Omega walked up to me from outside.
"What is it?" Raina asked.
"Don't worry Raina, leave her to me," I said, raising my palm.
"What is the problem?" I asked turning to the Omega.
"The event decorators are here already ma'am," she replied.
"Oh, thank you," I said and she left.
I would have loved to stay back in the kitchen while I allowed them to handle their things but with what Elena did this morning, I need to be everywhere to monitor every little thing being done in the preparation of the Alpha's dinner night.
I took two plates of salad and bacon before walking into the large Hall.
"So glad to have you guys here," I said, smiling at them.
They smiled back and nodded their heads.
The particular color I wanted for the design initially was black and shining gold, something that fits into the Alpha's aura, but I don't know what got into me, and I decided to change it into blue with some touch of back and little gold.
I sat with them, making sure they placed every decoration, including the flowers, where it was supposed to be.
When they were done, I invited them over for breakfast before they left the pack house for their offices.
I was about to walk out of the event hall before the guy setting the projector approached me.
"Good day ma'am," he said, bowing his head.
"The projector guy right?" I asked to be sure.
"Yes ma'am," he replied, nodding his head.
We walked back into the Hall and the settings of the projector began.
I was busy having my last plate of bacon when an Omega walked in with a glass of juice.
I stared at her surprisedly and thanked her for the kind gesture. I was surprised because such had never happened since Kessler told them to stop attending to my needs.
"Maybe Raina sent her here secretly!" I thought before lifting the glass of juice towards my lips.
A few minutes later, I started feeling dizzy. Maybe it's because I've been up and working since morning, my body needed to rest since I still had a few hours left for the Alpha's dinner night.
"When will you be done?" I asked the projector guy.
"Very soon ma'am, I just need to finish setting up some parts." He replied.
"When you are done, drop the laptop in my room. Ask Omega Raina to show you my room and tell the omegas to give you what I prepared for you.
I need to sleep before the party begins, I'm feeling dizzy," I said.
I finished my bacon, stood up to return the plates to the kitchen, and drank the remaining juice, but it was as if my legs were stuck to the ground.
I couldn't lift it due to how heavy it was. I tried standing up forcefully but fell back on the chair I was sitting on and held my stomach in pain.
I sat down for a few more minutes, and when I felt like I was relieved I stood up and started walking towards the door.
I was almost close to the door when my legs got stuck again, but thanks to the wall, I used to support myself till I got close to the door.
Suddenly, my hands started shaking and the plates I was holding fell on the floor and shattered into pieces.
I forcefully opened the door so I could help myself upstairs but suddenly fell on something.
I lay down screaming in pain but no one was coming to my rescue. I turned around to try getting hold of something I could stand with when my hand suddenly hit a glass and everything shattered into pieces on me and pierced through my skin.
A few seconds later, I felt the omegas gathering around but no one dared to offer me a helping hand as they would be severely punished.
I was still struggling to get up when I heard a familiar voice screaming my name.
"Amelia!!!" The person screamed, rushing towards me at speed.
I tried getting a glimpse of the person's face, but everywhere had become blurry in a few seconds, and I blacked out.
