Crush?

Alyssa's mind was racing as she lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling. She couldn't shake the feeling that her mom had somehow seen right through her. She had always tried to keep her feelings hidden, even from herself. But now, it seemed like her mom had put a name to the emotions that had been swirling inside her for so long.
