CHAPTER FIVE

Emotions ran through my body like the water runs in the sea. Anger was fuming inside me and hatred rooting from within me. 

"When you're done whining, tell me so we can start working" 

Working? My job was to be his maid. A personal one at that. 

"What works," I asked making my way toward him. 

" I'm meeting with people from the council" he stated. 

What's that got to do with me? I wondered but still listened. 

"I want them to feel at home while they're here" 

So I should be their maid too. That was simple. 

" It's the least you can do after the destruction you've caused in my life" 

I stared at him with my eyebrows raised. 

" Don't give me that look, I turned my phone off because it's bombarding with notifications and messages, do you want the headlines "Famous Ruthless Alpha Bane Gets Ridiculed By A Rogue" 

Argh, that news will be ancient history tomorrow. Wait! Do they know that I am a rogue? 

"Relax they don't know you're a rogue" 

" It's just that everyone who is not Candy is classified as a slut. She made that quite clear before she left" 

Who is Candy? 

"So they said I'm a slut?" 

"A rebellious slut" he cleared his throat and I chuckled. 

It's not like it bothers me I've been called probably all the names in the book. 

" I can take the, so what business do you have with the old hags from the council?" 

He just looked at me and carried on with his business 

"I asked you something" he sipped his wine and went on as if I wasn't there. 

Okay, Phoenix was right I am a chatterbox. I like talking. So this pig is just sitting here in silence. It's so uncool. 

"I told you not to ask questions" Geez! this guy. 

"Why?" 

"Because Miss Rogue, I don't like questions and you ask way too many questions" I sighed. 

What's wrong with asking out of curiosity.? I looked at him for a while. 

"Or maybe you don't trust me. The pack's serious stuff, you're scared I might leak things to your enemies right?" 

He gaped at me befuddled 

" Relax I won't budge if you don't want to say anything" 

" I want them to give me a land they can't and don't want to sell" I laughed my heart out this one is full of jokes. 

" Only you can do that" 

"That's why I didn't want to tell you, you're of no use" I giggled. 

" What is the one thing they're hungry for?" 

"Money and power of course" he's right but there's one thing. 

"And sex" his face brightened up. 

"So??" he asked eagerly awaiting for me to answer. 

" So get them to focus on lust then propose whatever your deal is right there and then. You'll thank me later" 

"What do I get them to lust over?" 

I sat right in front of him. He had this snobbish look on his face I think he misunderstood me I was volunteering to be the person whom the old hags would lust over. I just. Wanted to give him hints. 

"Noo. Not me I just showing that it should be a woman" 

" And I want that woman to be you" he stated, I shook my head. 

"No please no" I continuously begged. 

"You're going to be the whore I want you to be, it's not a request but an order" his voice was calm but I didn't miss the hatred and sarcasm in his voice.

I scanned him go through his papers 

He wasn't joking he was serious and was only thinking for himself and his greedy, needs.

I am sure he would win first place in a competition of selfish and heartless people.

He wasn't even remorseful when tears flowed down my cheeks, one thing was certain I loathed him more than I loathed my parents.

Why did I choose this pack in the first place?

"Sit down I have to educate you about them so you do your work properly"

He took a file containing photos of the man I was too out.

"This is Devlin.. "

"Godfrey Jenkins likes girls with fine legs, they're his greatest weakness. I know everything about them. You can educate yourself" with that I stood up, intending to leave. 

This guy was just too much. What did I do to him? Maybe I should kill him. That way I will live my life in peace. 

'Angelique Lovett Foster since when did you have such filthy thoughts?' my wolf asked 

 "Since that insensitive, cruel, heartless, and handsome man came into my life". I retorted 

"Look you can't do this to me I only agreed to work with you what's my fault for agreeing to work for you ?" 

"I told you. I didn't request you to work for me" 

"Whatever! my sanity! I can only be sane if I see Phoenix every two minutes please" 

"That's exactly what I want. To drive you insane until you can't take it anymore" 

"Please I have to work not be a sex exhibitionist" 

"You should've thought about all of this before agreeing to be a personal maid to someone you didn't know in the first place" 

"I hate you!" I glared at him 

"The feelings are mutual baby girl" 

"Go to hell" I leave the room. One more minute with him then I'll be charged with serious crimes, like murder. 

I wander around the house until it gets dark and I realize that I'm lost. God save me. 

I can't even shout, Wo,w the Goddess, hates me, how can he put me in this kind of situation? 

"Hey you, are you okay?" I heard someone say from behind me in the dark. 

I closed my eyes and blacked out.
