Chapter_47_ Emerald Water Complex

Usually, the release of the final episode of a drama is not a big event. But 'Royal Physician' fell under special circumstances. The producer of the drama was a subsidiary of a big company that had just entered the industry. 

And also. The drama was doing exceptionally well, being the hottest one of this year. Although the year had just begun, the competition was no easier as many Production companies had decided that the beginning of the year was the perfect time to release their dramas. 

They had to compete with 4 other dramas for viewers and came out at the top. So… as a promotion event and as a treat to the fans of the viewers, the Production company had decided to inaugurate this 'watch along with the stars' event. 

They booked a hall and sold almost a thousand tickets to the public, which sold out in a matter of a few minutes.

It was already five forty five and there was still no sign of Viviana in the backstage. The event would begin in just a few minutes. The crowd had already gathered at the hall. There were more than ten media sitting outside for the interview section.

"Yo! Do you think she's not coming?" Agent Kim asked Daniel. 

"Who?" 

"Viviana… Do you think she'll not come?" Kim asked again.

"I don't know." Daniel answered. "Director Sam was very excited about her participation though." 

He turned to look for the director. The person was having a conversation with Lyra's agent, Yan Lui. Looking at the frown on Sam's face, it didn't seem to be a pleasant conversation.

"It's going to be boring if she doesn't come." Daniel muttered to himself.

The actor had set his expectations high when he heard that the woman was coming to the event this afternoon. He was hoping for the continuation of the drama between Viviana and Lyra. 

It was already a burning topic all over the internet and today there were media who were eager to fuel to this fire. And it would be a pity if the protagonist did not even appear. 

While Daniel was indulging in this pity party, he heard some gasps of exclamation coming from the side. His immediate reaction was to turn to the direction to look at what had happened…

And there she stood in her glory, the object of his entertainment for the past few days. A modest black dress that reached her ankle with a high neck and long sleeves. 

But it was the jewel on her that made her pop. She had on a golden chain embellished with rubies and also the lengthy pendant from which a ruby was hanging and a pair of golden earrings, also adorned with rubies. 

Agent Yan paused as he stared at the girl and immediately looked for Lyra. There she was standing at the corner. She had just come out from the waiting room on the call of the staff. Her eyes were fixed on the new arrivals. 

Specifically, Viviana. This was a foil in her plan. 

Lyra knew that Viviana did not have time to prepare an extra dress. And the makeup that was done was to suit the maroon red dress of hers. So, if she was forced to dress in white, she would look awkward. And if she didn't wear what she had given her, she could only wear an ordinary dress of something that she had worn before. 

But to her surprise, she was in front of her looking better than she had ever been. Lyra recognized the dress. It was released on the Fall runway of one of the classiest brands, Mi Lovell. She had seen a video of the model walking down the aisle with the dress. And although she did not recognise the jewels, she knew that it couldn't be fake. The shine of the ruby that contradicted Viviana's light skin was evident. 

The dress and the accessories fitted well with Viviana's temperament. Aloof and classy. The fluttering of the long skirt brought out the elegance in her movement. With her head held high, Viviana was like a noble lady from the medieval periods, who had been steeled with etiquettes and grace in her spine.

On the other hand, Lyra saw herself as an ordinary peasant who adorned herself with the feathers of a phoenix, as though she could become one if she did so. 

And she hated herself for feeling this inferior. 

And when she saw the mocking smirk Viviana was giving her, she could only curse at the girl in her mind. 

'Why?' Lyra clenched her jaw and tightened her fist as she glared at Viviana. 'Why does she always have to outshine me?' 

…

Manager An was not blind to the silent exchange the two artists of the same company did. Especially the satisfied look Vivi had after she had sent a mocking smile at Lyra's failed attempt to humiliate her.

But neither she nor Elisa could still get over what they had just found out within the short period of this one and half hour.

"Just go there."

An Mey who was looking at the traffic in front while sitting at the co-pilot seat, looked at the direction of the two to see what they were talking about.

"Emerald Water Complex? Why are we going there?" An Mey questioned Viviana. 

What was the Emerald Water Complex? 

It was one of the best apartment complexes in the whole Dawn Sky City. It was located in the Emerald Swan Lake area which had the highest land value in the whole city. 

It was said that the price of the flats in this complex's buildings started from 5 million. There were seven buildings in this apartment. And the one known as the Golden Crown was even more expensive according to what An Mey had heard. This was because the flat did not consist of only a few rooms in this building but a whole set of floors. It was like a villa, but in an apartment complex. 

So… When Viviana typed in that area in the destination during such a tense situation, the manager nor the assistant could guess the reason why.

"To get a dress."

"But…" Elisa hesitated. "Why do we have to go there to get a dress?"

"Hmm…" Manager An also nodded to the question as her eyes fixed on the actress who was sitting behind her.

"Well… Cause the dress is there…" 

"?"

Seeing both of them giving her the questioning look, Viviana sighed as she looked out of the window, away from their stares as she disclosed.

"I have an apartment there."

"…"

"…"

An Mey and Elisa rewind their memories a couple of times to make sure that what they had indeed heard was something that came out of Viviana's mouth. 

And when they finally realized that it indeed was the reality. They both exclaimed

"You have a what!"
