[Inspired by How to Live as a Villain, Regressor Instruction Manual, and the rule and power system of ORV]
Zeth Dover is in a bit of trouble... or rather, in huge trouble.
He suddenly woke up inside his own web novel a story where every main character has a past that brought them into the world he created. Each one was chosen to take part in various scenarios within a crumbling world, where the survival rate is frighteningly low.
「I have only one request... Change the story, Author.」
Forced to rewrite the original plot, steal the protagonist’s role, take on the part of the villain, and use everyone around him just to survive each scenario until the story’s ultimate end...
Zeth will do whatever it takes to survive to the very end no matter the cost in a world that’s already falling apart.
This is a novel inspired by two works, which I mentioned in the description. My inspiration from both novels was based on two aspects: the beginning of the story and the characters. Regarding the beginning, I drew from both. First, the idea of the characters waking up in a white room came from the start of How to Live as a Villain. Then, everything that happens in the sewers is inspired by The Regressor's Instruction Manual. As for the protagonist, although I make it clear that he plays a role similar to a villain, I was more influenced by the main character of How to Live as a Villain. I like that character a lot, even though I think the story itself loses quality after a certain point. In How to Live as a Villain, the protagonist is balanced with the rest of the characters; he’s neither the strongest nor the weakest. That’s where part of my approach comes from: since I don't like weak protagonists, mine becomes strong. However, I want to make it clear that in my novel, strength isn't everything. And that’s where the inspiration I took from The Regressor's Instruction Manual comes in. That protagonist has no talent and isn't strong which I don’t particularly like but I enjoyed how he moves forward using his intelligence. That idea is another key element in the development of my main character. This is a somewhat long story, so to speak. It might end up with fewer than 400 chapters. It's built around various main scenarios, somewhat similar to ORV. Additionally, the power system and world rules are also inspired by ORV, so some readers may find them familiar. Well, I hope you give the novel a try. And if these words have piqued your interest, then thank you.
