WIN HIM OVER

Sophia's face soured, and she made up her mind to win him over. Entering the car, she settled herself beside Andreas, who seemed to be lost in thought for some reason. Why wouldn't he notice her? Everyone will do anything to sit next to her, and here he is just ignoring her. She wiggled close to him but was met with a hard glare, making her move back to her original seat. The meddling girl's face he kidnapped and literally let go without a thought of her exposing the secret suddenly popped up in his mind, so meddlesome, he mumbled, and now he has to deal with this beside him, taking a glance at Sophia before looking away.

Thank you for saving me. Sophia's soft voice echoed, snapping Andreas out of his thoughts.

It's no problem, ma'am; we will do anything for you, Dante chirped in.

Do you have a death wish? Andreas cut him off, making Dante wonder what to do. Isn't he engaged to the said Sophia? Why is he being so cold towards her?

It's your father's responsibility to find you, not mine. Why put the burden on me? You seem perfectly fine to me. Andreas complained.

Still, I will love to thank you. She tried leaning closer to put a kiss on his cheek. Andreas felt a disgust rise within him, cutting her off. "Try that, and I will snap your neck and present it to your father in a basket. The atmosphere suddenly turned chilly as both Dante and Sophia were lost for words.

Dante thought, It's official; he doesn't like her. What a waste.

Sophia felt angry to her gut but was determined to do anything to win him over, and why wouldn't she? She had everything a man would ever want: money, wealth, and beauty. She smirked. Dropping her off in front of the Crispino mansion with guards stationed around, what's the use of having so many guards if you can't protect your mistress? Andreas grumbled.

Holding him by the hands, Sophia moved closer to him. Would you like to come in? I'm sure Father will love to thank his future son-in-law.She batted her eyelashes at him. This shit was getting real, Andreas thought.

No need for that, Sophia. I will see him some other time; you may go in; I am sure he must be worried.

Rolling her eyes, she scoffed! Worried? Trust me, my father is nothing but worried; I am just a tool to expand his business, she spoke in a serene voice, with Dante feeling sorry for her while Andreas stared at her with a bored expression like he was watching a movie.

Standing in front of the huge mansion, she watched the car drive off with a smile on her face before turning into the mansion. Entering the mansion, she met her father, Marcus Crispino, who had an indifferent expression on his face. He had already heard about her arrival, puffing out smoke on his seat while staring at some parchment of papers.

Don't blow this off, Sophia. His cold voice echoed, making Sophia smile, walking towards where the wine is before chugging it down her throat. You knew I wasn't kidnapped, right, Father? Seeing how you are so calm.

Crispino smiled. It's the only way to get you and Andreas together before you blow it up with your wayward behavior, and what were you doing with that leech called Gerardo? Just make sure Andreas doesn't figure it out, or I will personally end you if you are no longer useful to me. He laid the threat blatantly.

Sophia rolled her eyes at the threat; deep down she knows it was true, but she has a leech on Gerardo, and when she no longer needs him, she will get rid of him.

I must commend you, Father; you made the right choice of partner, but why is the Astridsson family? Is there something in their family you want to access? I know you are not one to care about your daughter's well-being. She smirked, making Marcus burst into laughter. What decision I make is none of your business.

How about the information I asked you to get on the girl, Dante? Passing the documents to him with one hand while using the other to drive, Andreas settled in his seat, opening the documents about her. There wasn't much to her, staring at her name, Isabella; her name rolled out of his lips. Throwing the documents away, he put back his stoic expression. I don't want any distractions, he spoke out.

You don't have any distractions, boss. All you do is put on a frown all day, Dante joked but was shut up by Andreas's glare.

Sorry, boss.

Do you want a salary deduction, Dante? Andreas threatened, making him shake his head rigorously, which made Andreas smirk.

Dante has always been there ever since he took over from his father; he was his most trusted friend and second in command.

Boss!! Don't you think you should get a driver or a secretary? I am none of that, you know. Why do you keep on making me do jobs like this? Stop chirping, Dante. I am trying to get some sleep here, making Dante sigh, and why are you passing this neighborhood? Andreas complained. That's because this is the fastest route, Dante replied.

How about that dumb Cyrus? Set a meeting with him today; I would love to have a talk with him, putting a smirk on his face.

The weather was getting chillier by the day. Walking down the street in pink trousers and a sweater, her nana had insisted she stay home for a while before coming to the bakery. Her thoughts drifted to him. I don't even know his name, she pouted. I don't care about his name, she denied almost immediately, trying to shake her head off the thought. Her eyes soon bulged open when a car driving past at speed splashed muddy water on her outfit.

Hey, you bastard!! She shouted. Watch where you are going.

Bastard? Stop the car, Dante, he commanded. I'm going to teach this girl a lesson. Dante wondered why his boss was being so petty today, stopping the car. Andreas got down, searching for the voice that shouted. Both Andreas and Isabella stared at each other; this was the second time this crazy lady had called him a bastard.

Isabella gulped down. Why does it have to be him? She bit her fingers, fidgeting. She contemplated running away, but it was too late as he had already gotten closer. Smiling sinisterly as he got closer to her. You always have a way of getting on my bad side, senorita, making Isabella scowl. You splashed water on me first, so you owe me an apology. Why will I do that? Andreas retorted. You should have paid attention to where you were going, and lest I forget, shouldn't you be avoiding me? I could kidnap and torture you at any time.

Who does he think he is? Isabella scowls.

I guess you love scowling on your face, senorita. You look like a monkey when you do that. Andreas burst into laughter. Did he just insult her? She thought, but no words left her mouth as she didn't want to get kidnapped by him, so she let out a fake laugh.

Dante watched the banter between the two. Why are both of them being petty, especially Andreas? He wasn't like this, staring at his boss as he felt more at ease with Isabella. Dante didn't like the thought of this; she might be a distraction; he is already engaged to Sophia Crispino.
