I was born a worthless peasant in a magical world where one's talent determines one's worth, but I was happy. I had loving parents and a little sister—she meant the world to me.
But they took them all from me.
They said my father offended a noble and they killed him and my mother. Our uncles and aunt turned their back on Lucy and me—afraid they might offend the noble by taking us in.
I am only fifteen, for god sake, and Lucy is just ten!
Forget about me, just take care of her, please!
This town abandoned us.
This kingdom abandoned us.
This empire abandoned us.
Humanity abandoned us.
But with my death came a blessing; a chance to return and get my revenge but at a price. I am dragged into a war of the heavens; exposed to a new world I never existed and fighting battles that do not concern me.
