Chapter 7: Questions? Tons of Questions

Location: Star Realm

Feldway POV

I couldn't believe it. What had just happened? My mind was still trying to process the information, but it all felt so unreal. The battle, the power, the fact that I had been gifted an Ultimate Skill. Veldanava's actions had left me reeling.

I tried to recall the events that led to this moment. There had been a match—a shocking one. The discovery of holy particles, new spells, all made possible by my Unique Skill. . I should've been celebrating, yet all I could feel was a deep sense of awe and confusion.

The next thing I knew, I had a new form of power coursing through me. The Ultimate Skill, Michael is what it's called. Atleast that's what I heard in my sleep, after absorbing that attack.

I felt it in every fiber of my being. It was there, just waiting to be tapped into. And yet… something didn't feel right. There was a trade-off—a price to pay for mastering it. A hefty one.

As I pondered over this new revelation, I remembered something important—Veldanava had mentioned Ultimate Skills before. But he had never told me about the consequences. Was it normal for such a power to have such a price?

Veldanava POV

I was watching Feldway from afar, enjoying every moment. The little infant of an angel had no idea what was coming. His power was growing, but so were the challenges ahead of him. And the best part? I had given him the key to everything—Michael, the Ultimate Skill.

As I observed his confusion, I couldn't help but grin. "Isn't it marvelous?" I muttered to myself. "Feldway doesn't even realize the power he holds now."

Then, I heard a sound from the distance—a voice calling out my name.

"Veldanava," Feldway said, his tone serious as always.

I snapped my fingers, and suddenly, I was in front of him. "What is it now, my little creation?"

Feldway didn't even flinch at my appearance. He stood straight, eyes narrowed. "You gave me this power—this skill called Michael. Why?"

I could hear the seriousness in his voice. The ever-calculating Feldway, always thinking several steps ahead.

"Well, because I wanted to," I grinned like how a divine person like me should. "It's fun watching you struggle with it. Besides, you're my creation. I know you'll figure it out… eventually."

Feldway frowned, clearly not gratitude enough for my gift. "You're giving me this power for fun?"

"Of course!" I said, my voice cheerful and high-pitched. "What else would I do with it? Besides, you were the only one worthy. I'm not in the habit of giving out Ultimate Skills for no reason."

Feldway gave me a look, the same serious expression he always wore. But there was something else behind his gaze. Something calculating, as if he were weighing the consequences of my actions.

"I need more than 'fun,' Veldanava. This isn't a game. You're playing with fire."

I laughed. "That's exactly why I'm doing it! You're boring when you're serious, Feldway. Loosen up! You've got the power now. Might as well have some fun with it!" I said, waving my hand as if it were the simplest thing in the world.

Feldway sighed and shook his head. "You're impossible."

"Anyway, time to get up and start training"

Feldway POV

"Training?" I said, narrowing my eyes.

"Exactly! Time to work, Feldway! You have to learn how to use that new power of yours. You know that right!?" he laughed, his demeanor shifting back to the eccentric, playful side he was known for.

I sighed. It seemed this was just how he was. Yet, I couldn't deny the fact that Veldanava had a strange way of pushing me forward.

Perhaps, despite his childish antics, he truly did have a purpose for everything. I couldn't afford to ignore him—no matter how much it irked me.

"Alright," I muttered, "let's train."

Veldanava laughed, clearly pleased. "That's the spirit!"

It was going to be a long and grumpy road trip ahead, but I have no choice but to walk on it.
