Pronounced Dead
Riley frowned at his question,all day she had tried forgetting about her situation and now here this man just decided to remind her.
"Tomorrow"she replied.
Riley was trying hard,she missed her parents dearly and having to live with the guilt of causing their death would hunt her forever which she was willing to face.
"You should have dealt with it the easier way"Ryder stated to her.
"I don't want to forget the good memories and the bad ones"she sighed.
Ryder nodded before pulling the vehicle in front of the mansion.
Stepping down from the car,she was greeted
with a strange man.
"Who is this damsel?"Henry flashed her a smile,
She frowned seeing him flirt,
"Henry"Ryder called while taking Riley's bags
from the vehicle.
Henry turned to the man not expecting to see
the mighty Ryder holding a lady's bags.
He walked towards him and helped him take the bags,
"She is the human's best friend"Ryder stated to him.
Henry turned to stare at Riley,
"She is pretty"he muttered which Ryder heard clearly.
"You better keep your eyes to yourself boy"Ryder said with a sigh.
He walked away from the man and got closer to Riley,
"Won't you go in love?"he asked with a subtle smile.
She nodded and turned to the mansion.
Riley was shocked seeing Emily and Ethan nowhere,she was shown her new room.
She entered the room thanking the maid who left upon seeing her settled.
Riley sat on the bed and sighed,
she missed her home and parents dearly.
Meanwhile Emily slept in Ethan's arms as she cuddled up to the man thinking he was a pillow.
Ethan's gaze soften seeing her fair face close,
she looked so vulnerable just like a little lamp.
He removed the strands of hair that rested
on her face allowing her sleep peacefully.
A knock was heard making Ethan frown,
he didn't want to wake his little lamp.
Removing her hand softly,he got up and with
one slight movement he got to the door.
He opened to see Riley outside,she looked like a nervous rack.
He stared at the girl waiting for her to speak,
"Is Emily inside?"she asked while trying to peek behind the door.
"She is sleeping right now"came his nonchalant reply.
"I will leave then"she stated turning to run from there when Ethan stopped her.
"The witch who will tutor you on your powers
is coming tomorrow"he informed her to get a nod.
Riley watched the door close behind her as she sighed thinking how scary she man looked.
Emily sure had found a petrifying man,she felt the hair behind her neck raise hearing him speak earlier.
"Do you fancy my brother?"came the subtle words for Ryder.
Riley turned stunned to see Ryder behind her,
she didn't know he had followed her.
She glared at the man fiercely,
"I have no interest in your brother nor you!"Riley responded frantically.
Ryder smirked hearing her words,in one movement he had her pinned against the clean wall.
"Seems I got it wrong,you don't fancy my brother or me"
he whispered in her ear.
Riley felt her cheeks burn as the sensational
feeling erupting from her body was insane.
Ryder was so close to her face that she felt
he would kiss her,his hands were firmed on
her waist.
Ryder's other free hand moved and came closer to her chest.
Riley felt her heart beating thinking he was going to touch her boobs when he suddenly traced from her chest upwards not touching her boobs.
She frowned upon his tease,which made him smirk.
"You shouldn't have decided to stay here,
when clearly you can't get your hands off me"Ryder stated proudly letting her go and moving backwards.
Riley glared at him hating more of his guts.
"I didn't chose to stay here and you were the one all over me!"she exclaimed angrily and turned around walking away from him.
Ryder felt a chuckle escape his lip watching
her leave.
Riley upon entering her room closed it before releasing her breaths that she seemed to had
been holding for a while.
Her heart beat rapidly that she could hear the sound,her mind wandering on what game Ryder
was playing with her.
Riley sighed before jumping on the bed.
The sun was hidden as the moon kept threatening
to step out,birds chirped loudly.
Riley's mind kept bubbling on if the police had
found out about her burnt home.
Feeling immense pain,she took out her phone and searched on the current news to see her house was on the news.
The news stated of a family burnt down and died in their own homes,she was also pronounced dead in the media.
She knew this was bound to happen,she was already pronounced dead by the media.
Riley heard a knock from the door and got up to see Emily outside.
Emily immediately hugged her friend tightly,
"Your mom called you?"Riley asked to get a nod from the girl.
"Do you want to go outside?"Emily asked before staring right at her friend's eyes.
Riley's eye filled with tears,she felt her cheek
swollen as she whimpered.
"I don't want the world to know I killed my parents"came the sadden word from Riley.
Emily took her hand and sat her on the bed
as she held her hand tightly.
"You didn't kill them ril"Emily assured,
But Riley shook her head not accepting the fact
that her parents death were not caused by her.
"But I don't want to deceive the world and make them think I'm dead"came the words from Riley.
"We could go to the cops tomorrow"Emily suggested,
"Thank you Emily"she stated hugging the girl.
Emily sighed hugging her back,she knew Riley was trying hard to be strong despite being vulnerable.
"I'm staying here with you"Emily announced,
"Your mom?"Riley raised a brow,
"Don't worry,my phone is switched off right now,too many calls,I will come up with something tomorrow"Emily gave a small smile in reassurance.
