Done With The Past

He didn't seem to listen to her and continued hitting the boy,

Aurora turned to the gang,

"Stop him please"her face full of worry,

Jennifer sighed knowing how Mateo could be and he won't stop.

"Just let it be,let's go"Jennifer took her hand but the girl glared at her.

"You can't stop him,no one can"Peter informed her,

"So we should let him kill him"she shook her hand off Jennifer and ran to Mateo.

"Let him go this instant!"she yelled,

The boy was already losing consciousness.

The sera girl stood in tears seeing the boy getting beaten up at the verge of dying and no one could do anything about it.

The girl did the next shocking thing,she called the police on Mateo.

Aurora held Mateo's arms,

"Leave him please"she pleaded,

The boy turned to her hearing her soft voice,

He turned to the boy and threw him off.

He got up and turned to the crowd,

"Don't ever touch what belongs to me"his voice thundered,

He took Aurora's hand,

"Better end that call"he stated to the sera girl whose hand held her phone closely as she had dialed the police.

She dropped her phone and ran to her cousin who is bleeding profusely from the beating.

"Let's go"

Aurora stared at the boy,his face full of arrogance and she noticed the fear people had on their faces.

"What happened there?"raymond asked concerned,

"We are heading out"Mateo informed taking Aurora's hand who immediately turned to him.

They were going out?!

He already pulled her away from the rest.

Peter was about to step in when Isaac held him back,

"Don't,let him be"Isaac warned,

Peter was furious as he didn't like how Mateo was with Aurora.

Meanwhile Aurora already walked a great mile away from the beach with Mateo on her front.

"You are slow"he turned to her,

She glared immediately,

"Why didn't we just wait for them?"

"Why?I thought you found something about your mom?"he turned to her clueless,

He made it seem like she was the one that instigated they leave,

"We could have done that after the bone fire"she murmured.

She was surprised on his fighting skills even though she didn't support violence,but here it seems the people loved watching fights and all.

"Where are we even going?"Aurora asked after walking another mile,

"Be patient youngster"he reprimanded,

Aurora felt like a little kid who didn't like hiking and yet forced to go.

She didn't even hold anything rather just her phone but the walk wasn't helping neither was the person she was with.

He was fast and didn't even seem tired,she sighed more while throwing daggers at him.

Soon they got to a graveyard,Aurora looked around the place with raised brows.

"What are we doing here?"

Mateo walked inside to a particular tombstone.

The cemetery was old and lonely,like it wasn't used anymore.

"I usually come here anytime I'm angry"he informed her,

She walked to the tombstone and saw the name written,

Colleen Hayward

The year was cleaned off,

Aurora frowned more,

"You are adopted?"

"Yes"he replied

Aurora walked away from him giving him his space.

She noticed the other graves there and stared at their names till she came across a particular grave that made her remember her nightmare.

Leah Parker

Her eyes widened,

She cleaned the year that was covered on the tombstone and suddenly she felt her self transport away from the graveyard.

Looking around,she stood amidst people in what seems to be a market.

She looked at her clothes and noticed she was still in the same clothes from before.

Aurora saw how people didn't notice her like it happened in her dream.

She was terrified and wondered if this was also a dream,

Suddenly a carriage approached and she darted away,wondering what year was this as people seem to dress from the 80s.

Suddenly tall well built men dressed as soldiers arrived and started killing everyone around,they had weapons like guns and knives.

People running immediately while holding their children away.

Aurora stared in dismay as she felt a bullet come close to her making her close her eyes but nothing happened.

She opened to see a worried Mateo,

"What happened?"her brows furrowed,

She looked around and saw how she was in a foreign room.

"Where are we?"she questioned,

"My old home"he replied to her.

She got up from the small bed.

The house was old and texture used could be found in the 80s.

"Me and my mother used to live here"

The house was rather small and quiet.

"You collapsed Aurora"Mateo stated worriedly,

While Aurora's eyes fixated on his room which was quite lonely and darkened.

"I...everything is looking different Mateo"she said softly while turning to him.

"How?"Mateo questioned coming closer to her.

"Are you a vampire?"

Those words shocked Mateo,he frowned,

"What did you see?"he asked softly staring into her eyes.

"I'm sorry,I know they are not real,knowing my mom's past has been putting lot of thoughts into me and I have been having strange nightmares and my insomnia doesn't seem to go"she rants on.

Mateo stared at her before walking to her and he immediately held her closely.

"I'm sorry for making you work so hard,I promise if you want to know anything,I will be here to help"he assured her.

She just cowered into his arms and nodded,

"I don't want to know more Mateo"she replied.

She got a nod from him.

She didn't know why but the past seem to be more than what she will expect and she didn't want to face it and uncover things.

She was fine and didn't want more from this as it was getting more dangerous and scary.

"Let's go"he stated firmly.

Aurora woke up ready for work,the weekend had past and she was grateful that she didn't past through any nightmares.

Seating with other staffs,

Mrs Gerald informed to them.

"The game is upcoming,I would like miss Ross to help in the cheerleading and guide the students to practice for their cheer dance"
