As the pressure inside the building rose astronomically, panic also emerged from everyone's heart. They all didn't know what happened and why the boy suddenly got triggered out of nowhere. However, they had no time for that as they had to save themselves first.
"Uncle! I cannot move!" Mira shouted, panicked.
Levin gritted his teeth, racking his brain quickly to figure out something. Just a second later, he took a decision without hesitation, using all the strength he still had to fight against the pressure, grabbing the collar of Mira's robe before throwing the girl far outside of the building.
"Kyah!"
CRACK!
The sound of the windows splitting echoed sharply in the enclosed space, followed by a shattering cascade. The boy who instigated everything just whistled lowly, impressed with Levin's decisiveness. "You sure are a cruel one, huh?"
Trying to look unbothered by the heavy pressure on the shoulder, Levin smiled wryly at the boy. "You are the one who caused it and I am the cruel one? Are you kidding me? Even Chen Ze has already passed out right after your gravity tries to crush us."
The boy could only shake his head in disappointment when he also saw the scientist lose consciousness in an embarrassing way just from the little pressure he gave. Little did he know that the pressure radiating from him was enough to crush any normal adult in a normal world.
"As for Mira, even though the sound of the impact is horrible, it is still better compared to being crushed by your gravity. Don't you think so?" Levin asked casually. Of course, he didn't mention that the girl was a priest who could heal herself. After all, revealing his or his friend's information to an enemy would be the stupidest thing they could have done in this situation.
"Yeah, you are right. I go a bit overboard this time. She could die from the pressure alone if she is not strong enough to withstand it." The boy nodded, acknowledging that he messed up. Or… Did he? Levin couldn't read the boy clearly as there was no hint of guilt or any other feeling from the boy, just amusement as if everything was a game for him. "Well. But you are here, right? You can withstand it as if my pressure is nothing. Maybe, you can help me make up for the disappointment I feel toward the scientist uncle."
Right after that, the building started to crumble as it couldn't withstand the pressure of the multiplied gravity from the boy anymore. Levin reacted quickly, rushing to grab Chen Ze's body, and jumped out of the windows immediately. He didn't have any time to save the robot eagle, laptop, or any other equipment that the scientist had since the building turned into a ruin already within a second.
"Hahaha! As expected, you are not affected by the gravity at all! You are the best, Uncle!" The boy laughed crazily, which gave Levin a flashback toward the memory of how the illusionist laughed before toying him around. Somehow, he had a bad feeling about it. "Come on! Are we going to play a hide-and-seek game now?!" The boy's shout echoed throughout the day as Levin himself was hiding while also trying to make sure that the scientist was safe.
'Oh, yeah, I am becoming prey for another hunter again. This sure starts to become a theme in this game.' He couldn't help but chuckle bitterly.
Levin took a deep breath, adjusting his mentality quickly. Then, he started looking around, observing his surroundings. Although the ruins of the building gave him the advantage of a hiding place, it also posed a risk since the boy could just use the debris as a projectile to attack him. So, overall, they both had an advantage in this field.
However, Levin also knew that, unlike the boy who had a crazy gravity manipulation ability, he was just a normal human with a laser gun. He might have more experience in combat situations, but that wouldn't do a lot in front of absolute power. So, he had to find a way to level the field and fight back against the boy.
'Four shots left, huh?' Levin murmured as he saw the battery of the gun was below 20 percent already. 'I need to make every shot count.' Yeah, after using it for two long and exhausting fights against the fire mage and the illusionist, the gun had finally run out of battery. This was another part of the deal he made with Chen Ze, to create something that could charge his gun. However, that was another thing to think about in the future, as right now, he had to find a way to escape from this situation.
"Well, Uncle, if you don't want to come out of your hiding spot, let me do it for you!" The boy suddenly shouted, and Levin tightened the grip on his gun. He also put Chen Ze's body on his back, trying to make sure that saving the scientist wouldn't be his downfall.
However, he didn't expect everything on the ground, from a small rock, the ruins and debris of the building, and even he himself to be pulled into the air. For a moment, Levin was confused about what was going on. He tried his best to resist, and while it worked, the fact that literally everything was up in the air was enough to make him realize that his position was discovered.
"Hehe… I finally find you, Uncle…"
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
Right after that, Levin was running for his life to avoid a barrage of debris used by the boy as projectiles thrown at him at an incredible speed. He also had to resist the pull that the boy did by using his gravity on several occasions to distract him from the fight because they both knew that a one-second slip would be enough to end this fight.
From the outsider's perspective, this fight looked like it was completely on the boy's side. The boy himself also thought so, thinking that it was just a matter of time before Levin got exhausted from running around. He just didn't notice that Levin didn't run away from the debris blindly. He deliberately ran in a circle to surround the boy with the big chunk of debris that could kill if any of them got hit by it, trying to bait the boy into his own death.
'Come on… Just three more seconds… Two… One… Now!'
The boy didn't expect that Levin would suddenly turn around out of nowhere after the soldier had been running away from him in the last couple of minutes. He also wasn't ready for the shot coming from Levin's laser gun. However, by using his ability, he manipulated his gravity so that it was as if he was on the moon, jumping so high to avoid the shot directed at him.
BAM!
"Ha! Nice attempt, Uncle! But that wouldn't work against me!" The boy laughed triumphantly, feeling that he had won already. "Now, it is my turn!" However, right before he could do any action to counterattack, he didn't realize that a piece of debris flew from his back, and when it hit his back, that was when Levin suddenly stopped running and charged forward.
"This is probably the only chance I have in this fight, I cannot waste it anymore!"
