Jay-jay's POV
That feeling of not existing? Now I know it. I can even feel it completely. Damn it. They're still ignoring me—these jerks. It's been days. Almost a week now.
I've been completely seen-zoned by these bastards. And Ci-N still hasn't shown up. Liar! And when I call, he doesn't even answer.
"Class, tomorrow we'll be in the gymnasium. Don't forget your P.E. uniform," said our P.E. teacher, who shares a name with an old celebrity.
"Yes, Ma'am," my annoying classmates replied in a bored tone.
After Miss Asunta, we had Miss Smith next.
"Clean up your room!" she immediately told us.
Agreed! Our classroom already looks like a garbage dump. And the people here look like garbage collectors.
"Just clean your room, and I won't hold class today," Ma'am added, which made the idiots excited.
"Nice! We can go home early."
"Yes!"
"Let's get started."
This is what they're good at—being active when there's no class.
As soon as Ma'am left, everyone started standing up. I was about to stand too when Keifer handed me a broom and dustpan.
"Same old… Clean the room," he said.
I was about to protest, but I noticed that all our classmates were already gone. They had left, and now it was just Keifer and me inside.
"Why me again?"
"Because you're annoying. Do what I said, or you won't be able to go home," he said before walking away.
As he left the room, he shut the door again. What the hell? Déjà vu? This already happened before.
Rather than get locked in here, I had no choice but to just clean.
The floor was a mess—food wrappers, papers, and dirt scattered everywhere. Cobwebs had built up in the ceiling, and dust covered the surroundings.
I started by clearing the cobwebs from the ceiling. Nearly blinded myself when dust got in my eye. Then I grabbed a rag from their ancient cabinet.
Since there was a small sink, I figured I'd just get water from there. I removed the wooden cover and turned on the faucet. There was still water, but it was full of moss. I left it running for a while before soaking the rag.
While waiting, I also removed the plywood, metal sheets, and cardboard covering some things at the back. I set them aside in a corner.
Once the water was clear, I wet the rag and wiped down everything that needed cleaning.
When I got to the window, I saw all of them outside, looking like they were having a meeting.
"What's the plan, Keifer?"
"Same… We just need to get her to leave."
"What if she doesn't want to?"
"Then we'll make things harder for her."
"Let's just scare her..."
"We'll do that, but not now."
I could hear their conversation. Why do I have a feeling they're talking about me? Are they planning to make me leave?
Ahhhhhh… Now I get it! That's why they're doing this to me. They're making things hard for me so I'll be forced to leave.
HAHA! Sorry, guys, but you picked the wrong person to mess with. You think you can break me? No! No! Let's see who can hold out longer! I'm not leaving. You'll have to deal with it!
I quickly finished cleaning. I put all the trash in a garbage bag and knocked on the door.
Keifer entered first, while the others stood at the doorway. He immediately looked up at the ceiling and froze when he saw the things at the back.
"What the..." he muttered under his breath.
"I removed the covers… They were in the way, and they were covered in dust. Could also be a breeding ground for—"
"It's still dirty," he said with authority.
"Huh?! It's already clean. All that's left is to repaint the walls, and—"
"That's not what I mean."
He snapped his fingers, and Felix handed him the garbage bag.
I looked at Felix, but he wouldn't meet my eyes.
I was shocked when Keifer suddenly dumped the contents of the garbage bag onto the floor.
A foul smell spread through the air as the trash scattered everywhere.
What the fvck?!
"See? Still dirty," he said with a cocky smile.
How much does it cost to get laser eyes? I'd love to burn Keifer to ashes right now. This damn animal! Worse than any other animal!
"Are you insane?!"
"Maybe..." He turned his back on me. "...Clean this mess!"
Bastard!
"Hey! Keifer!" I shouted.
He stopped walking. I grabbed the garbage I had collected and walked toward him.
"You're right..."
He faced me, raising an eyebrow.
"It is still dirty!" I said firmly before dumping the contents of the garbage bag on him.
The papers, food scraps, dirt, and dust now covered Keifer's head and shoulders.
He glared at me as the rest of the jerks at the door started whispering.
"Shit!"
"She's screwed!"
"She's dead now."
"Call Yuri!"
If looks could kill… Damn! I'd already be six feet under.
"You! STUPID! WOMAN!" he shouted.
I took a small step back at the force of his voice but quickly stood my ground. Head high if he wants a fight.
"What do you think I am?! Your maid?!"
"You—"
"Keifer!" someone shouted.
We both turned toward the door. Yuri was standing there, frowning, looking at us with confusion.
"What the hell?! Why are you covered in dust, Keifer?!" he asked.
His brows furrowed when he saw the mess all over the floor and surroundings.
"Kindly explain..." he said calmly.
Keifer and I looked at each other.
"HE STARTED IT!" we both shouted at the same time, pointing at each other.
"ME?! WHAT?!" we yelled again in unison.
This idiot! He's even copying me!
"Stop copying me!" he shouted at me.
"Hey! You're the one copying me!"
"You---"
"STOP!" Yuri shouted so loud it was like his throat was about to explode. "BOTH OF YOU, STOP!" He glared at us. "Aren't you ashamed of yourselves? You're acting like children. Clean this mess right now, or both of you will stay here forever."
There's no such thing as forever.
Yuri shot me a glare. Crap! Did I say that out loud?! I quickly looked away.
"I'm not going to clean this mess," Keifer stubbornly said. "I'm the class preside—"
"David is coming back," Yuri cut him off.
David?
"What?!" Keifer asked, sounding confused but also angry.
Who is David now? Is he the one they said Kiko brought down? Flirty! Calling him 'me'loves' already?
"He called me this morning. He said he's coming back," Yuri said. "We'll talk about it later. For now, just clean up." He added before walking away.
As he left, he closed the door again. Now it was just Keifer and me inside. I grabbed a broom and threw it at him.
"Clean up the mess you made!" I ordered.
The great Keifer just sneered at me and sat in a corner. Unbelievable!
If he doesn't want to clean, then fine, let him sit there.
I sat down on one of the benches as well. We were both silent, and the only thing I could hear was the conversation of the snakes outside.
Every now and then, I glanced at Keifer, but he just stared blankly into space. He looked sleepy, too, with dark circles under his eyes and occasional yawns.
It was getting dark, and our classmates outside seemed to be getting tired of waiting. I wanted to go home too—I was starving.
I grabbed another broom and walked toward Keifer. I held it out to him, but he just looked at me.
"Come on... let's just clean up. I want to go home," I said.
He just stared at me blankly. Come on! I really want to leave!
I grabbed his hand and forced him to hold the broom. He took it, so I stepped away from him, grabbed another broom, and started sweeping.
I had barely swept twice, and Keifer was still just standing there.
"Tsk! What the hell?! Cooperate, will you?! I really want to go home."
He must've sensed my frustration because he finally stood up and started sweeping properly.
The silence was deafening. It was getting darker outside.
"Keifer..." I started, but he didn't respond. "...Who is David?"
No response. He had no intention of chatting. So grumpy!
"The original Class President of Section E," he answered in a bored tone.
Wow! This jerk actually responded. He must be getting impatient too.
"Is he the one you guys were talking about the other day? The one Kiko brought down?"
He paused for a moment like he was thinking before going back to sweeping and replying,
"Yeah..."
Wow, such a long answer... I really felt that—like 0.01 milliseconds.
"If he was the Class President, why isn't he here?" I asked.
He stopped again and faced me. "You ask too many questions... I'm done," he said, handing me the garbage bag.
Oh! He really was done. I quickly finished up what I was doing. When he saw that everything was okay, he started banging on the door.
It took a while before it opened. Maybe they fell asleep. When the door finally opened, I expected Yuri to come in and check, but instead, someone else walked in straight away.
It was Aries, and he was glaring at both Keifer and me.
"What are you doing here?!" Keifer asked calmly but with authority.
Aries didn't answer. He just walked straight to me and grabbed my arm.
"I've been waiting for you!" he said to me.
"W-wait!" I struggled. "...My bag!"
He let go of me so I could grab my bag. When I picked it up, I noticed there were a lot of people outside. Aries had already started walking, so I followed him.
Once outside, I realized that even Aries' classmates were with him.
And the tension between him and Keifer was intense.
