Chapter-21 Clinic

Jay-jay's POV

It felt like I was in La Pieta with David! Just kidding.

But seriously, no one was helping us. I even shouted for help, but all the students were too focused on the fight.

Not a single guard was there to break it up, and no one seemed to care about helping me. Seriously?!

Then Kiko came over and forcibly carried David, despite all the mud.

"To the clinic!" he shouted at me, and I quickly followed them.

Ci-N's POV

I felt like I was dreaming. Or maybe I was hallucinating from a hangover.

There was no one in the room, and the place was eerily quiet. But everyone else's things were still here. Maybe they just went somewhere.

My head was pounding like it was being split in two. I also realized I hadn't taken any medicine before coming to school. I forced myself to stand and walk to the clinic. I was sure they had medicine for headaches.

When I got there, I saw the nurse tending to a student lying on one of the beds.

David?

He wasn't wearing a shirt, but the nurse had placed a cold compress on his forehead and covered him with a blanket.

"Do you need something?" the nurse asked me.

"I was hoping to get some medicine for a headache," I said.

"Alright… Have a seat over there. I'll be done in a minute," she said, pointing to a chair near her desk.

I nodded and walked over to sit down. As soon as I sat, I noticed movement behind the large cabinet filled with medicine.

I moved closer to check, but I froze at what I saw.

Keifer was standing there, wearing only his boxers while putting on his pants.

Jay-jay had her back turned to him, but she was only wearing a bra as she pulled on her shirt.

O_O… What did they do? Why were they both half-naked? And why were they in such a hidden spot?

I quickly went back to my seat, feeling like my headache had gotten even worse from what I had just seen.

Could they have actually done that…? No! Jay-jay isn't like that. And they're not even dating, so there's no way—

"Just take it off already!" Keifer suddenly yelled.

Take what off?! Was he trying to go for round two?!

"It got on you!" he added.

Got on her what?!

Their voices became quieter, so I couldn't hear them well, but they seemed to be arguing.

"Let me see!" Keifer shouted again.

See what?!

"Tsk! How am I supposed to check it properly when you keep moving?!" Keifer snapped.

Moving what?!

"Forget it!" Jay-jay shouted back.

Yes! Refuse, Jay-jay!

"Just let me see!" Keifer insisted.

Why is he so desperate to look?!

"If I touch it, you'll regret it!" Keifer shouted angrily.

My goodness! Keifer was forcing Jay-jay?! He was being so aggressive!

"Just stop already!" Jay-jay yelled back in frustration.

Fight back, Jay! Don't let Keifer do whatever he wants!

Their voices became quieter again. A moment later, I heard a door open, followed by more conversation.

"It's way too wet!" Jay-jay complained.

Oh my god! What is wet?!

"Wet is better," Keifer replied.

o_O… What's wet?!

"Can you at least position yourself properly? I'm the one struggling here!" Keifer scolded.

Position?!

They fell silent again.

I really wanted to stand up and peek, but my knees were shaking too much to do it.

"Oh, geez! It's soaking wet! Now I look like I peed myself!" Jay-jay complained angrily.

Soaking wet?!

What the hell am I hearing? This is worse than watching porn! My headache just got ten times worse.

A few moments later, Jay-jay and Keifer finally came out from behind the cabinet.

They both looked a little startled to see me but quickly walked over.

"Ci-N… Why do you look like you've just seen a ghost?" Jay-jay asked.

I saw worse than a ghost!

"N-nothing… I just don't feel well," I stammered, avoiding eye contact.

"That's a hangover! Why did you even drink?! You're too young for that!" she scolded me.

It was a hangover, but it had definitely worsened after what I just heard.

"I just got carried away," I replied.

"Oh, geez! Ci-N! Do you even realize blah blah blah blah..."

She started lecturing me. But that wasn't what I needed.

What I needed was an explanation about what they were doing behind that cabinet.

Aries's POV

"Next time, if you can't resist fighting with Section E, do it outside of school. Now go. You can leave." Mrs. Reyalidad scolded us.

Mykel and I walked out. Damn that Keifer—he disappeared the moment the guards arrived to break up the fight.

Same with the others from Section E. Cowards!

I ran into Kiko, who was covered in mud.

"What happened to you?" I asked.

He had disappeared earlier during the chaos. I thought he went to help Freya.

"I helped Jay-jay bring David to the clinic," he replied.

"You helped your enemy? Have your beliefs about life changed?"

"Of course not! What I did was for pogi points. If Keifer hadn't shown up at the clinic, your cousin would have been thanking me nonstop."

I gave him a puzzled look. "Keifer was at the clinic?"

"Yeah… he and Jay-jay even argued and smeared mud on each other. I just left."

Tss. So that's where he went. What was he up to? It was obvious he didn't need to go to the clinic—his body was tougher than a rock.

"What do you guys plan to do about Mica? Do you believe Freya?" Mykel cut in.

Oh, right. That.

"Mica and Freya are friends, so it's not impossible that she really said that."

"So, you're saying they're alike?" Mykel asked.

Not exactly. I knew Ella was also friends with Mica, but I didn't really know her true personality.

"Maybe… I don't know… But three people are saying that Mica was the one who said it."

"What about Jay? Did you listen to what she said?" Kiko asked.

"She already admitted it. Mica was there with Freya when she heard those hideous words."

"I know Mica. It doesn't seem like something she would do—backstabbing someone," Kiko said.

Like I said, I don't really know her true nature.

"After what happened earlier, I'm sure Freya will come after your cousin. Aren't you going to do anything?" Mykel asked me.

"Tss. That's her problem. She can deal with it," I answered indifferently.

I needed to focus on Ella and Mica first. Even if we weren't sure whether Mica really said those words, Ella was hurt. And that was something I hated the most—seeing her in pain.

I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I did nothing for her.

"Mykel… I want to talk to all of Section A—except Mica and Ella. I'm not letting this day pass without doing something."

Jay-jay's POV

Ci-N and I went back to the classroom. Keifer, that idiot, left earlier, so it was just the two of us in the clinic with David—who was still knocked out.

His fever was so high that his body gave out, but he still insisted on coming to school. At first, I thought he was absent, but it seemed like he forced himself to attend.

The nurse told us to go back to class and that she'd take care of David. I had a feeling she just wanted to get rid of us. I was being too noisy. Hehehe. So here we were, walking near Section E's building.

Ci-N was quiet, probably because he still wasn't feeling well—or maybe he was still affected by my long lecture.

It was a long one!

When we entered the room, it was complete chaos. Our stuff was flying through the air.

What the hell?!

I squeezed through the crowd of snakes huddled together.

It was Calix. He was throwing a tantrum, looking absolutely furious, but his friends couldn't stop him.

"Stop it, Calix!"

"Dude! That's enough!"

"Calix! Calm down!"

They kept telling him to calm down, but none of them dared to get close. What's up with that?

It was as if everything was weightless, flying through the air. I pushed my way in, hoping to find my things—something I regretted doing.

Calix spotted me and gave me a death glare.

He immediately stormed toward me and grabbed me by the collar.

"Argh…!"

"THIS IS YOUR FAULT!" he shouted in my face.

My ears were ringing from how loud he was. I struggled to pry his hands off me.

"What the hell?! Let me go!" I ordered, trying to push him away, but his grip only tightened.

My feet were already lifting off the ground. Shit!

"Calix! Let go of her!" Keifer shouted.

But it was like Calix was in a trance, his eyes burning red with rage.

"Let me go!"

"THIS IS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU! If you hadn't messed with Freya's group, Mica wouldn't be in danger! She wouldn't have…" A tear rolled down from one of his eyes. "...She wouldn't have told me to forget about her."

He let go of me, and slowly, he fell to his knees.

Even without him saying it, I could feel his pain. There's always a deep reason behind a man's tears. And I had a feeling that reason was Mica.

I could sense our classmates' sympathy for him.

But of course, there were always those who didn't care for drama.

"Only sissies cry, bro."
