Chapter-25 Revenge 2.0

Jay-jay's POV

"Don't you have a class?!" the teacher asked us.

Ci-N and I couldn't answer. The bell had rung a while ago, which meant our class had already started.

Ahh… We're really in trouble!

"They ditched their class," Freya said smugly.

I shot her a glare. Acting like she's someone important, yet her face looks like a coloring book.

Where did we end up? In Section A, of all places. The other students were already giving us dirty looks, and so was their teacher.

Annoying!

I was about to open my mouth to speak when I heard the voices of Section E outside the room.

"They might have entered one of the rooms."

"Check quickly!"

"Jay... The window," Ci-N whispered to me.

I looked at the window near their whiteboard. It was a sliding window, and it was wide open.

I nodded at Ci-N, signaling that I agreed to go through there.

"Go back to your class," the teacher told us.

Ci-N suddenly ran towards the window and jumped straight down. The students in Section A gasped in shock and rushed to the window to look down.

"Ah!... What kind of child is this?!" the teacher shouted.

I was about to run and follow Ci-N. I didn't care if we were on the second floor. But suddenly, Kiko grabbed my arm.

"Are you going to jump too?! That's dangerous!" he said, his voice laced with concern.

Ayyieehh… He's worried.

"It's even more dangerous if they catch me!" I said and pushed his hand away.

I ran fast and jumped out the window. But I should have checked the height first.

It was too late for regrets. I landed on the grass, but my legs hurt from the fall.

"Arrgghh..." I groaned, rubbing my leg.

"Forget the pain for now! Let's go!" Ci-N shouted, trying to pull me up.

Even though it hurt and was difficult, I forced myself to stand and run. We went behind the gymnasium, and just our luck…

The three Animals who humiliated me were there. No wonder I couldn't find them earlier. This was their hangout.

You're all going to pay!

"Ci… Go back to the room," I ordered.

"Huh? Why?"

I took my bag from him. "I'll let them chase me. You leave now."

"But Jay—"

"Just do as I say," I commanded firmly.

Ci-N hesitated but eventually walked away, confused. I just didn't want him to get involved. This was my fight!

I walked up to the three, who were busy smoking.

"What do you wa—" He didn't even finish his sentence.

I punched him hard. My fist hurt and was shaking from the impact, but it was worth it. His lip was bleeding now.

The other two glared at me.

"You bastard! Wh—" I kicked one of them in the face before he could finish talking.

He fell to the ground, his nose bleeding as he writhed in pain.

One left…

He stared at me for a moment before smirking and tossing his cigarette.

Smirk all you want! Let's see if you can still do that later.

"You've got guts! Who the hell are you?!" he spat angrily.

"I have a message for Freya!"

He froze at my words. So did the other two, who were still on the ground.

From their expressions, they seemed to recognize me now. The two of them struggled to get up and stepped closer to their friend.

"Will you deliver it for me?"

They exchanged glances, like they were having a silent conversation. Then suddenly, one of them lunged at me.

He tried to punch me, but I dodged and immediately kicked his knee, making him collapse again.

"Arrgghhh... Shit!"

The one with the bleeding nose followed. I didn't wait—I punched him straight in the jaw.

"Ugh!"

It hurt, but it was satisfying. He looked dizzy as he fell.

I turned back to the last one—the guy who wouldn't stop swearing at me.

"You're the only one left…"

I didn't wait for him to reply. I attacked first with a punch, but he dodged, so I followed up with another one.

Direct hit!

As soon as he fell, I kicked him in the stomach. I didn't stop, hitting him harder than they had hit me. He was almost puking, but I kept going.

"You thought you were tough?!" I said, continuing to kick him. "Tell Freya... She messed with the wrong person!" I added between kicks.

I stopped for a moment—it was tiring, and my legs and feet were starting to ache. I took a deep breath, ready to resume, when something suddenly struck the back of my neck.

"Uggghhh!"

I collapsed instantly, my hand instinctively clutching the spot where I was hit. My vision blurred from the dizziness, and my body felt heavy—one wrong move, and I might lose consciousness.

Damn it! Don't close your eyes, Jay!

I forced myself to look at who had done it. It was one of the three—the one I had kicked in the knee.

"You really thought we'd go down that easily?! And to a girl like you?!" he shouted, pointing at me with the wooden stick he had used.

He was about to hit me again when someone grabbed his wrist. Even though I was dizzy, I clearly saw who it was.

Keifer.

He didn't say a word, but the fury in his eyes was unmistakable. His grip tightened around the guy's wrist, forcing him to drop the stick.

"Argh! Let me go!"

"Sure," Keifer replied indifferently.

I thought he would release him, but instead, he twisted the guy's arm. I heard the distinct crack of bones even over his agonized screams.

"Aaarrggghhhh... S-stop!"

As soon as Keifer let go, the guy collapsed to the ground, crying in pain.

Keifer then turned to the one lying on the ground with a bleeding nose. Sensing danger, the guy started crawling away.

"D-don't! Have mercy! We were just following orders!" he pleaded.

But Keifer didn't seem interested in listening. He continued approaching until he stopped right in front of him—then delivered a powerful kick to his knee.

"Aaaaarrrrggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!"

I shut my eyes. I knew that kick had broken his bone.

Why? Why was Keifer like this?

I hated those guys, but now I just felt sorry for them.

Keifer walked over to the last one, who was still sprawled on the ground, glaring at him.

"Stand up," Keifer ordered.

"W-what—"

"Stand up!" he repeated with authority.

Even though he didn't seem to understand, the guy struggled to his feet.

"I'm giving you a chance to fight me. Unlike what you all did to Jay-jay, I prefer a fair fight," Keifer explained.

The guy smirked. "What are you tal—Aaaggghhhh!!!"

Keifer didn't let him finish. He punched him straight in the gut, making his eyes and tongue nearly pop out.

The guy was about to collapse again, but Keifer didn't let him. He grabbed him by the collar and delivered blow after blow to his stomach.

Enough!

I thought he was giving him a chance to fight back, but he wasn't even letting him recover.

Another punch to the stomach—and suddenly, the guy vomited. But instead of food or water, blood poured out of his mouth as he finally collapsed.

"You okay, Jay?" Keifer asked while still staring at the guy he had taken down.

I was a bit surprised that he asked. "Y-yeah, I'm fine."

"We need to get out of here."

I tried to stand, but my body felt heavy, and I was still dizzy.

"Y-you go ahead... I'll follow," I said, looking for something to lean on.

"Tss. Hurry up."

Look at this guy. Can't he see I'm struggling? Can't he be a little more gentlemanly?

In the Wattpad stories and books I've read, the guy always helps the girl—but not him.

Maybe I should post about this on Facebook and call him 'Ungentleman!' along with 'As handsome as he is, his attitude is just as bad.' But then I might get bashed, so never mind.

Where did Keifer even come from? And why was he here?

"You walk like a turtle," he commented before quickly walking away.

Wow. Could he at least ask if I'm okay first?

As soon as he disappeared from sight, Yuri suddenly appeared, walking toward me.

Where did he come from? And why was he here too?

"Where did you get hit?" he asked lazily.

I didn't say anything and just pointed to the back of my neck.

I thought he was going to check it, but instead, he suddenly stepped closer and lifted me in a bridal carry.

"Lah! Lah! Put me down!" I struggled.

"It'll take forever if I don't carry you."

I stopped resisting and stayed quiet—probably because of how heavy I felt. On top of that, my body was exhausted, and my fists hurt.

"Can I ask you for a favor?" Yuri suddenly asked.

I nodded, waiting for him to continue.

"Take responsibility for what happened in Section D."

I looked at him in confusion. He wanted me to take the blame? Why?

"If you're wondering why… It's because Keifer can't afford to get involved in any more fights," he explained.

Ahh, that makes sense.

I guess Keifer had already been in too many fights before, so he couldn't afford to be caught up in another one.

"O-okay. I'll take the blame."

I noticed Yuri smirk slightly before it quickly disappeared.

Why does Yuri seem… different today?

He usually acts like a jerk, just like Keifer—like a Keifer Version 2.0, which is why I get annoyed at him sometimes.

But right now?

He seems like a completely different person…
