Chapter-63 Cheater

David's POV

*Continuation of Flashback...*

The class ended. Everything had been quiet since earlier. As I stepped out of the room, I headed straight to the parking lot where my car was.

I was going to the old, abandoned factory—that's where Kiko and I had agreed to meet.

When I arrived, he was the only one I saw, leaning against his car. Kiko had confidence because he was friends with Aries. He knew he could get revenge if he was wronged.

"You took your time!" he complained as I got out of my car.

I stepped closer to him. He didn't move, but then I noticed something was off.

Fvck! He's not alone.

Suddenly, Mykel appeared, along with other members of Section A. There were also a few from Section D. They surrounded us.

"The deal was one-on-one! Why are they here?!" I demanded from Kiko.

"I changed my mind." He smirked.

I knew it! Section A always fought dirty. They would never let themselves lose.

"Hold him!" Kiko ordered.

His men rushed toward me, but before they could grab me, I met them with a strong punch.

The others were alarmed. One tried to hit me, but I dodged. More came at me, but they only gave me more chances to strike them down.

I had already taken down five, but I was starting to feel tired. Then—

THWACK!

Someone struck me from behind with a pipe, sending me crashing down. That gave them the chance to hold me.

"It took you this long just to pin him down?!" Kiko growled.

He stepped closer and took the pipe from one of his men.

"You're good at begging, right?! Beg now!" he sneered before slamming the pipe into my stomach.

I doubled over, nearly vomiting my guts out from the pain. My knees felt weak. My captors forced me back up, gripping me tightly.

Kiko briefly let go of me—only to punch me in the face. It hurt. The pain numbed my skin.

"Beg!" he ordered before punching me again.

Even without looking, I knew my mouth was bleeding.

"Are you going to beg now?" Kiko taunted.

"Y-you hit l-like a g-girl." I forced the words out.

Kiko's face twisted in irritation. He immediately kicked me in the stomach. I collapsed, and I had to admit—I couldn't stand up anymore.

His men grabbed me again and forced me to face him. He gripped the pipe tightly.

"Let's see if you can still talk after this!" he hissed before swinging the pipe straight into my face.

Silence…

I felt like my ears had gone deaf. Everything slowed down. I couldn't move, and my body was giving out. My breathing became labored. I hit the ground, but I didn't feel any pain anymore. My vision dimmed.

The last thing I saw was Kiko's grin before everything went black.

White. Bright. Silent. Am I dead? That was the first thought that crossed my mind.

Then, I heard the creak of a door opening. I'm still alive. I must be in a hospital.

I moved my eyes around the room and saw Keifer sitting near the window. I wanted to call him, but I couldn't speak.

That's when I realized—something was wrapped around my neck, up to my jaw. This must be the result of what Kiko did to me.

Keifer turned and saw me staring at him. He walked over and pressed something near my head.

Moments later, the doctor arrived to check on me. Then, Dad and Mom came in, bombarding me with questions.

Are they blind or what? I thought bitterly. They know something's wrong with my jaw and that I can't talk, yet they keep asking me things.

Mom sat beside me for hours before deciding to go out and buy something. Dad spoke with the doctor.

Keifer was the only one left in the room, silently watching me the entire time.

He finally approached and sat beside me. He picked up an apple—probably something they brought—and took a bite.

"Do you feel like a hero?" he asked before laughing. "…That's what happens when you act tough."

I'm not a hero. I just faced what needed to be faced.

"I'm their president now. They'll follow me. You'll do the same when you get back to school, that is if you even can."He teased.

I wanted to move. I wanted to talk. But of course, I couldn't. It hurt to even try.

"Don't force yourself if you can't handle it," he added before leaving the room.

You bastard, Keifer! I took Section E away from trouble, but you're the one putting them in danger!

The moment I get out of here, I'll take back Section E.

Jay-jay's POV

So, they really do fight dirty. That must be why Keifer is with David now.

"Is this why you didn't want me to let Kiko court me?" I asked David.

"Something like that. We don't trust him." He answered.

Tsk! So, that's why they kept pestering me about whether I planned to date Kiko.

"T-thank you." I mumbled, looking away.

"For what?" he asked.

"For caring about me."

He smiled, his face turning slightly red. "Of course… You're special to us."

Special?! Special! SPECIAL!! Ahahahahaha! My heart just skipped a beat!

I immediately smiled because of what he said. My annoyance disappeared, and it felt like his words boosted my self-esteem.

"I'll admit it to you... We planned to gang up on Kiko, in case he continued his plan of courting you." he explained.

Oh wow! They're even more protective than Kuya Angelo. They're like my dads and brothers combined.

"Good thing I already rejected him." I joked, and David chuckled slightly.

We were now in front of my house. We stopped and faced each other.

"I'll just leave you here... Thanks for walking me home!" I said with a smile.

"Be careful, Jay. What you did to Ram was risky. They might come after you." he reminded me.

Oh, right. I just made another enemy. Whatever!

"I can take care of myself. Promise!" I assured him.

He answered with a smile. I went inside and bid him farewell.

Inside the house, my brother greeted me. He gestured for me to sit on the sofa and called Aries.

"Why?" Aries asked as soon as he entered.

"Sit down." my brother ordered.

Aries didn't move and just raised an eyebrow at him.

"Sit. Down." my brother commanded again, his tone authoritative.

Aries reluctantly sat down, obviously against his will.

"Did something happen, bro?" I asked.

"No, but... Mom and Dad left. They went to Guam—"

"What?!" Aries shouted, immediately standing up. "...And they didn't even tell me?! And they left without us?! What's that supposed to mean? Don't they have kids?!"

I was stunned by Aries' reaction. He was just like Kuya Angelo—totally over-the-top.

"...And they didn't even say when they'd be back?! What is this?! How are they doing over there?! Are they acting like newlyweds?!" he added.

"ARIES!!" my brother shouted, making me gasp and forcing Aries to shut up. "...Let me finish first!"

Aries sat back down and fell silent.

Hah! Serves him right!

"Mom and Dad are in Guam because there was a problem with one of our business partners. They had to go since I have a lot to handle here." my brother explained.

"So that means, Aries and I will be alone here?" I asked.

"The three of us, plus the maids. But since I spend more time at Fer Corp, it'll feel like it's just you two and the maids." my brother clarified. "...Mom and Dad will be back soon anyway. So... Uhmmm... You can go to your rooms now."

Aries quickly walked back to his room. I went to mine as well—I wanted to rest. My body still ached.

I believe I can fly... that's the vibe!

While changing, my phone suddenly rang. I wasn't sure where it was, so I rummaged through my bag, almost emptying its contents.

It rang again, and I felt like it wasn't inside my bag. I checked my bed instead.

Suddenly, Aries barged into my room while I was searching.

"Listen up! Since it'll just be the two of us left here at home, I want you to know that I have rules!" he declared.

I ignored him and continued looking.

Where the hell is my phone?! Did it rebel against me and run away?!

"You're not allowed to leave without permission! You also can't—"

He suddenly stopped talking, making me look at him. My eyes widened when I saw the reason why.

His expression was a mix of anger and shock as he held a white object.

A pregnancy test!

"Jasper Jean Mariano." he said in a calm but authoritative tone, calling me by my full name.

"Believe me... T-that's not mine."

My heart was pounding so fast. I couldn't predict what he was going to do. He might skin me alive or hang me upside down.

"Who's the father?!" his voice now carried anger.

"N-n-no one... I-I'm not pregnant. That's not mine."

Tears started to well up in my eyes. I wasn't sure if it was because of fear or something else. But he didn't seem to believe me. His glare at me grew even darker.

"Is it Yuri Hanamitchi or Mark Keifer Watson?!"
