The Reason Why He Came Early

The crowd which was bustling previously now silently began to leave the stadium in quick strides which seemed to originate from the fear they got from how the contestors reacted to the test.

Steve showed no reaction and remained in his kneeling position for minutes before Mr Simon directed an angry gaze towards Captain Derrick who quickly helped all the contestants stand up.

But it couldn't be helped as most of them had already fallen unconscious.This made Mr Simon more agitated as this was a bad outcome for a business man like him and businessmen always planned wanting everything to go as planned.

Steve waited until everyone was taken before he was addressed to be taken into a room for treatment however he directly refused.

"I will wait for my friend and once he recovers,we will go together"

Steve had already partially recovered from the test as the lily he uses the previously for cultivation still helped with its after effects

Captain Derrick nodded as he seemingly understood that he had presented a bad image towards these kids and thus he shouldn't try causing any problems again.He dejectedly stood up from his seat and was about to go when he heard his name.

He immediately grew spirited as he thought the other side wanted to speak to him and thus he turned around with eagerness however what he heard next was like a was like a force that hit him back to reality directly causing him to return to his frowned state.

"Pls I would want to know where my friend is"

Although he was a bit dejected,he nonetheless led Steve to Daniel was being kept and treated in.

Steve of course recognized this but still didn't care about what Captain Derrick expected from him with his previous look of eagerness.This guy had done a very insensible thing by toying with them children which he thought was game but he knew not he had done a bad thing.

He actually had the intention of asking Mr Derrick for his reward as he had naturally won the game but he immediately refused to do so as he saw the eager expression on his face and knew this man had no good intentions.

Also if he remembered correctly,this guy was sure in a big mess as previously Mr Simon inputted something into com band which Captain Derrick seemed to be the recipient and when he watched his own com band,he immediately showed a terrified expression.

This was what made Steve think this man had done a big mistake and would surely recieve his share of response.Steve naturally didn't care about the consequences of this guys actions and directly headed to Daniel's room.

Upon entering,he saw Daniel lying on the bed and being subjected to treatment in some pod like structure.There was naturally someone who was attending to him as he stood beside the pod watching a screen above the pod that continuously displayed new statistics.

However it seemed he had already been discovered when he opened the gate as the attendant turned directly towards him and directly asked him to sit at one corner where a stuffing chair was placed.He sat on it and waited for some time before unexpectedly Mr Simon entered the room.

Mr Simon called out his name and directly walked out which seemed to mean he should follow suit.He stood up and reached out to meet Mr Simon who walked him to a room secluded at some part of the building.

Mr Simon entered and gestured for Steve to also enter.Steve entered the room which looked plain without any decoration or arts placed around from his casual glance.Seeing nothing that interested him,he turned towards Mr Simon who had removed something with a figure of a box from a drawer at the other end of the table and indeed it was a normal decorated box which seemed to contain the giff.

He brought it to Steve who smiled and naturally took this gift.However he was confused why Mr Simon didn't take the initiative to explain what was in the box and so he directly asked him

"Sir please can you tell me what's in the box"

said Steve.

"Your reward for winning the game" replied Sir Simon.

As expected,this was naturally his reward after passing through that arduous event of a game previously.He didn't directly open it as he knew people like Mr Simon would naturally not go back on their words.

He took his reward and left the room after he was told to by Mr Simon as there naturally was nothing to speak about.However before going,Mr Simon still apologised for the incident which Steve said it should be considered a trivial matter and thus he shouldn't even bother himself to think about it.

Steve made his way towards Daniel's room,however before entering, he made a series of calls to inform his and Daniel's parents that they might not arrive early.

As he told them that a mishap had occured,he was surprised next to find out that they told him they already knew what had occured.Still a bit nervous as parents usually are,they told him to stay there to wait as they would naturally come to pick them in the morning.

Steve still understood why,although his past experiences had made him what he is today,he still was literally a small boy that's why they wanted him to wait.He was told that both Daniel's parents had travelled and had indirectly left Daniel's care in his mother's hands although Daniel still had a maid at home.

Steve smiled as he naturally figured out how this guy could come to the gaming centre so early.As it turned out,his parents were not around so he used this opportunity to run from home.

"Hmm,this guy will never change" Steve whispered to himself.

He made a mental note to himself to remember Daniel not to engage in this acts as they were kids and this showed disobedience.He regained his composure and entered the room where he saw Daniel who seemed to have woken up but still sitting in that pod.

The attendant stood there asking questions about his condition but Daniel didn't answer as he was confused and didn't know what to do as a kid.I moved in away from the door and called Daniel who seemed to turn happy upon seeing me

"Daniel"

"Steve"
