"Ms. Montgomery, although my brother has a criminal record and occasionally engages in petty theft, he's genuinely a good person. Thank you for looking past his faults and being willing to take him in."
As he spoke, Damien extended his hand toward Melody.
Melody, however, didn't even glance at it. With a cold expression, she said, "Zoran behaves perfectly well when he's with me. How is it that he suddenly becomes a petty thief when he's with you?"
"It seems someone must have deliberately framed him. Otherwise, how could a perfectly good person suddenly turn out like this?"
Damien's expression subtly changed, but before he could speak, Melody continued, "The accusation of petty theft against him was never proven. You, on the other hand, took advantage of your brother's absence to steal his wife. That's an undeniable fact, isn't it?"
