Chapter 10 : The Writer of Worlds
The soft morning light slid through the window like a gentle whisper.
Nicolas slowly opened his eyes. The house was silent. Still. He turned his head—and saw Anya, still curled up in bed, her hair scattered over the pillow.
He blinked a few times, then smiled faintly.
Nicolas (thinking):
"She must be tired… after everything. Let her sleep."
He stretched a little, walked to the kitchen, and started preparing a simple breakfast.
Not long after, a sleepy voice called out.
Anya:
"Good morning… brother."
Nicolas turned around with a smile.
Nicolas:
"Good morning. Go brush your teeth, Anya. Then we'll eat together."
A few minutes later, both of them stood ready at the table. Just as they were about to sit down—
Ding-dong!
The doorbell rang.
They looked at each other.
Anya:
"Who is it?"
From the other side of the door came a familiar voice:
Miss Kim:
"It's me, little angels."
Anya ran to open the door. Miss Kim stood there with her warm smile and shopping bags already in hand.
Miss Kim:
"Come on! Today we're going out to get you both some clothes."
---
Scene: A Day Out
Miss Kim took Nicolas and Anya through bright markets, cozy shops, and even treated them to cold drinks on the way. They laughed, tried new clothes, and felt—if only for a while—normal.
Later that night, all three sat together at the dinner table. Warm food, quiet laughs, and soft conversation filled the room.
When the plates were clean and the night had settled in, Miss Kim finally stood.
Miss Kim:
"Alright, time to head home. You two take care of each other, okay?"
She kissed both of their foreheads, then left, her footsteps fading down the hallway.
---
Scene: A Sudden Shift
Nicolas and Anya stood together, washing up after dinner. As they finished, Nicolas rubbed his temple slightly.
Anya:
"What happened? Headache?"
Nicolas hesitated, then nodded slowly.
Nicolas:
"Yeah… Just some pain in my head."
Anya:
"Then lie down. You need rest."
They both lay in bed, side by side. The room was dark, calm. But something was different.
Nicolas could feel it.

Scene: A New World
This time, he didn't enter the dream world.
He was teleported.
Suddenly, Nicolas found himself standing in a breathtaking place.
The ground was soft, covered with glowing green grass. A gentle river flowed nearby, sparkling in moonlight. Birds chirped softly. Colorful animals moved freely. Ducks swam in groups. The air smelled like flowers and peace.
And in the middle of it all… was a boy.
He sat on a large flower-shaped chair, behind a desk made of woven vines and petals. Books floated around him like leaves in the wind.
He looked only a few years older than Nicolas—maybe 17 or 18. His hair was soft, falling across his forehead. His eyes were a mix of sky-blue and soft gold, glowing gently. His skin was smooth like porcelain, and when he smiled…
Nicolas's heart skipped.
Nicolas (thinking):
He's… beautiful. Like someone from a dream. If anyone saw him for the first time… they'd fall in love. I think I just did.
Then, without even looking up, the boy spoke.
Mysterious Boy:
"How are you, Nicolas?"
Nicolas froze.
Nicolas:
"You… knew my name?"
The boy smiled, finally looking up.
Mysterious Boy:
"Of course. I've known you before you even knew yourself."
In a blink, Nicolas found himself standing right in front of him.
Without thinking, he asked:
Nicolas:
"Who are you?"
The boy tilted his head, eyes soft and calm.
Mysterious Boy:
"I am a writer. A creator. A maker of ordinary worlds, a painter of destinies, a builder of fates."
Books continued floating around him. One of them opened mid-air, and a glowing feather quill began writing by itself.
Mysterious Boy (smiling):
"But right now… I'm busy writing. So finish your second world, Nicolas. Then come meet me again."
Nicolas stared, breathless. There was something about this person—like he was made of magic and truth.
And maybe… just maybe… love.
Nicolas blinked. The glowing grass beneath him shimmered as he took a step closer.
Nicolas: "So you're the one who made me like this?"
The boy chuckled lightly, eyes warm and knowing.
Mysterious Boy: "I will tell you everything… soon."
Nicolas opened his mouth to speak again—but before a single word escaped, everything around him began to dissolve.
The glowing world, the floating books, even the boy himself—faded like petals in the wind.

Scene: Back in the Dream World
In a flash, Nicolas found himself once more in the dream world.
The soft colors, strange lights, and floating stairs were all familiar now.
And standing in front of him, grinning wide, was Head.
Head: "Welcome back, Nicolas! So… today was fun, huh? Clothes shopping, tasty food… what a life!"
He laughed with a boyish joy, arms spread like he was presenting a magic show.
Nicolas smiled faintly.
Nicolas: "Yeah, Head… it was nice."
But then, something in Nicolas's expression shifted. His eyes became thoughtful, uncertain.
Nicolas: "Head… can I ask you something?"
Head: "Sure! Ask away!"
Nicolas: "Do you know someone called… the Writer?"
Head blinked, genuinely confused.
Head: "The Writer? What's that? Like a book writer?"
Nicolas shook his head slowly, lips tightening.
Nicolas: "It's nothing. Forget it."
Inside, his thoughts swirled. I can't tell Head yet… not until I understand who the Writer really is.

Scene: A New Mission Begins
Head suddenly snapped his fingers, and a bright flash lit the space around them.
Head: "Alright! No more small talk! You're about to enter a new dimension."
Nicolas's eyes widened.
Nicolas: "A new one?"
Head nodded excitedly.
Head: "Or you could say… the same dimension. But a different timeline."
Images appeared midair—floating holograms of cities burning, robot armies marching, human warriors standing their ground.
Head: "In this timeline, there's a full-scale war happening. Humans vs. Artificial Robots. It's chaos."
Nicolas's heart thumped faster. The air seemed colder now.
Head (grinning): "You'll need to fight, Nicolas. But don't worry—you can use your AI suit powers there."
Nicolas looked at his hands, remembering the tingling pulse of energy, the sleek armor he had once worn.
Head: "This won't be easy. But I believe in you."
Nicolas nodded, more serious now than ever before.
Nicolas: "I'll do it. I have to."
