Worlds Between

My whole life, I’ve been nothing but property—bought, sold, caged like an animal. Being held down by this shackle, all I ever wanted was to escape, and tonight is one of those nights when I dare my faith once again.

I tore through the darkness, the cold, the fear clawing at my chest. And there, when doubt was about to set in, I thought I could never make it. I feared freedom would forever exist only in my dreams. Right there he found me. Marcel Edgar.

"Thank you so much for saving my life, Marcel…" I said as I dished myself some hot food.



"Eat. You have so much to do later.." he replied, still focused on his plate of food.



Could he be the saviour I have been praying for, did the spirit of my dead parent finally remember me, or is it another hell?. Luck like this doesn’t come to someone like me, but one thing is for sure, this kind of miracle only comes once in a lifetime.
