Chapter 135: Reiner: Sorry to Make You Suffer a Bit, Nami
Day and night rotated, time flew by. In the blink of an eye, four days had passed.
It was another clear morning. A gentle breeze weaved through the streets and alleys, sweeping over the crisscrossing waterways, creating faint, rippling waves.
Back Streets, in a residential building near the Water Gate Elevator. Reiner sat on the second-floor balcony, smoking a cigarette. On the small wooden table beside him lay a cup of coffee and a newspaper.
Below was the edge of the commercial street, bustling with pedestrians, all discussing the sensational events published in the latest newspaper.
This was the house he had bought a few days ago. While the Going Merry was under repair, he and Nami would come here to rest at night.
"Eh? The Log Pose seems to have set!"
A clear, pleasant voice came from inside the room behind him.
Nami had just woken up and discovered the Log Pose was already pointing towards the next island.
Her clothes disheveled, she threw off the blanket, got out of bed, and casually draped a light, translucent white shirt over herself. The loose, thin gauze wasn't buttoned, vaguely covering her graceful, delicate body.
She came out to the balcony, stretched lazily, then leaned down from behind, wrapping her arms around Reiner, hooking them around his neck and resting them on his chest.
Nami's face rested against his head, her youthful girlish fragrance emanating from her skin. Looking at the newspaper in his hand, she asked in surprise:
"Is that our information published on it?!"
"Mm. The crime of destroying Enies Lobby has all been pinned on us," Reiner replied.
Nami looked at the information in the newspaper, her expression somewhat dissatisfied. "What does this have to do with us? It was clearly the Navy's Buster Call that did the bombing."
"The World Government always wants to maintain a pristine image on the surface."
Reiner was unconcerned. If they could have covered it up, they surely would have suppressed it like they did with Alabasta. Since they couldn't, they just threw all the blame elsewhere.
It didn't matter to them anyway. For pirates, weren't crimes just a measure of fame? Hearing this, the others would probably only get excited.
"Let's pack up and go back."
Nami smiled faintly, stood up, and ruffled his short golden hair. "They said yesterday the Going Merry was in its final stages. And the Log Pose has just set. We're finally departing."
Reiner stood up and summoned several undead. "Let's go. I'll have them collect the clothes drying upstairs."
"Wait a minute!"
Nami quickly grabbed his hand and snapped cutely, "Throw those clothes away! I'm never wearing them again!"
"Since when did you become so wasteful?"
Reiner glanced at her. "Those are all high-quality clothes made from fine fabric. You're not going to wear them after just once?"
"Listen to yourself spouting nonsense."
Nami rolled her eyes at him. "What nurse, what police officer? Who wears all sorts of bizarre professional cosplay outfits on a normal day?"
"And that hip-hugging skirt that can't even cover anything! And that qipao slit all the way to the waist! What on earth were you buying!? Are those even for people to wear!?"
Nami grumbled, shaking his hand off, and was about to storm off angrily. "I'm going to get dressed! We're leaving in a bit! Don't you dare bring those damned things!"
"Alright, alright, I know. However..."
Reiner grabbed her hand, pulling her back into his embrace. His palm rested on her flat stomach, then slid upwards along her tender skin. He leaned close to her ear and whispered softly:
"There's still that last miniskirt set. Try it on, and then we'll go."
"You idiot! Honestly!"
Nami puffed her cheeks, giving him an irritated look.
She wasn't the coy, prudish type. Aside from being a bit shy when they first started, she had gradually gotten used to it during their time together.
Although she still got a little shy when she was passive, she was very bold when taking the initiative.
However, she couldn't quite handle Reiner's occasional "tiger and wolf" talk.
Feeling his palm slowly slide across her skin, Nami couldn't help but feel an inexplicable ripple in her heart.
Seeing as I'm in a good mood today, I'll let it slide this once.
"Mm."
Suddenly, a warm hand grasped Nami's impressive softness. Her body couldn't help but tremble as she let out a delicate, soft moan.
She looked up, her watery eyes gazing at Reiner. As his actions continued to tease and arouse her, her gaze gradually became hazy.
Her slender arms hooked around his neck, and she tiptoed slightly, gently kissing him. The soft touch, carrying warmth, intertwined.
Reiner wrapped one arm around her slender waist, pulling her close. Nami instinctively cooperated with his movements.
Her long, fair legs, like snakes, coiled around him, gripping tightly.
After a long while, their lips slowly parted, a glistening thread of saliva trailing from the corner of her mouth. Nami's eyes seemed to ripple like water.
Her collarbone hitched slightly as the light, translucent white gauze slowly slipped down, revealing her alluring, fragrant shoulders.
"Let's go to the sofa."
Nami's slightly flushed cheek pressed against his ear, her slender fingertips tracing over Reiner's blue shirt.
Starting from his collar, she undid his buttons one by one. A long scar still remained on his sturdy chest.
"Your wound... does it still hurt?"
Nami's fingers gently caressed the shocking scar as she asked softly, "Will it leave a scar in the future?"
"Relax. Chopper said it was treated promptly. With my recovery ability, there won't be a trace in a few more days," Reiner chuckled softly, carrying her to the sofa and sitting down.
Nami sat astride his lap, her legs apart, then leaned down, resting against his chest.
"I was actually thinking this scar looked quite manly. It's good that you're fine."
"You sound quite disappointed, don't you?"
Reiner's fingers threaded through her orange-red hair, gently ruffling her head as he joked:
"How about next time we meet Hawk-Eyes, I ask him to give me another slash?"
"Pfft~ What are you saying?" Hearing this, Nami couldn't help but giggle.
The next moment, Reiner felt a soft touch against his chest, carrying warmth, moving downwards, bit by bit, towards his abdomen.
Nami's delicate body also slowly slid down, until finally, she was sitting on the floor in a W-sit (duck sit).
Reiner's palm caressed her cheek, then gently cupped it. "Sorry to make you suffer a bit, Nami."
"Mm."
Nami responded, her voice as faint as a mosquito's buzz. "Just don't go too far."
Her face gradually flushed a deeper red. She slowly lowered her head, strands of orange hair falling beside her ears.
Three minutes... huh?
Time flew by. In the blink of an eye, several hours had passed, and it was almost noon.
Water 7 seas, Rockyard beach shore. A brand-new ship was docked.
Several figures stood below, all looking up joyfully at the vessel.
Its figurehead was a giant white sheep's head – unmistakably, the reborn Going Merry!
Luffy and the others, led by Franky, finally saw the ship they had been longing for!
The Going Merry at this moment... its entire hull was several times larger. The deckhouse on the main deck was still two stories, but the number of rooms had increased considerably.
The crow's nest on the main mast had been modified, and the stern still featured a triangular sail.
Its outward appearance had hardly changed, merely transforming from a small fast sailing ship to a medium-sized fast sailing ship.
Franky looked at the ship and yelled proudly, "I said I'd finish it today! I definitely wouldn't make you wait until tomorrow!"
"Woahahaha! Thank you, Franky! And Mister Iceburg!"
Luffy excitedly jumped onto the ship's rail, looking at the green turf on the central deck, unable to contain his excitement.
"It's gotten so big! And there's a lawn!"
Usopp was a mess of snot and tears. "Waaah~~ Merry~~"
"Wow!"
Chopper directly pounced onto the lawn and started rolling around. "So comfortable! Luffy, come try it quick!"
"Based on your requirements, we gave it a few decorations."
Franky walked onto the deck, smiling proudly. "The central deck is laid with turf. In the future, even out at sea, you'll be able to feel the earthy fragrance, just like on land."
"Apart from that, there are no other external changes. More importantly, the interior design, and my power system and Soldier Dock System – I guarantee they will greatly surprise you!"
Franky then looked towards Luffy. "Since I've joined you, I can explain the other things slowly later. The Log Pose should be about ready too, right?"
"The Pose, ah."
Luffy immediately turned his head, looking around and yelling, "Nami! Is the Pose ready!? Eh? Where's Nami?"
Usopp said speechlessly, "Didn't you notice Nami hasn't been around all morning?"
"Ah! Speaking of which, I really haven't seen her at all!"
Luffy exclaimed in surprise, only just realizing. "And Reiner too!"
"Your reaction time is way too slow!!" Usopp couldn't help but yell.
"Don't tell me!"
Luffy's pupils suddenly contracted. "Was it that pigeon guy and his gang who took them away again!?"
"Nani!!" Chopper clapped his hands over his face, his own turning green with fright!
Just then, a figure descended from the sky.
Duang! Duang!
Two sandbag-sized fists smashed down violently. Nami landed, fists raised, yelling with a grimace,
"Are you two idiots!?"
"Waaah~~" Chopper, a large bump on his head, directly lay sprawled on the ground, two streams of tears flowing freely.
"So painful!"
Luffy tucked his neck in, hands on his head. Seeing the newcomer, his eyes lit up. He patted her shoulder and laughed heartily.
"You're okay, Nami! Hahaha, that's great! I thought you were dead!"
"You're the one who's dead!"
Bang!
Nami, looking ferocious, sent him flying with a single kick.
"S-so scary."
Usopp shrank into a corner, terrified. "What did Nami eat today? Gunpowder?"
"Welcome back, Miss Nami~~"
Sanji's eyes turned into hearts, his body twisting and turning. "Even angry Miss Nami is so cute~~"
"You're still missing someone, right?"
Franky looked around. "Where's that Four Eyes little bro?"
"I... I'm here..." Reiner, pale-faced, stood by the ship's rail, one hand clutching it for support, looking utterly listless.
"Reiner, what's wrong!?" Chopper, seeing his half-dead appearance, was instantly alarmed.
"Honestly! Making a racket as soon as you're back!"
Nami stood with hands on hips, saying irritably, "Stop playing dead, Reiner! Get ready to work!"
"Coming."
Several Fish-Man undead were summoned. Reiner then walked over to Franky's side. "Any changes to the operating system?"
"No. But before, your helm was directly in the integrated living area."
Franky pointed towards a room in the middle of the second floor. "Now the space is larger, and the steering room has been made separate, functionally dividing the rooms on either side."
Afterward, the group gathered on deck, listening to Franky briefly introduce the changes. In the end, they only understood some of the external modifications.
As for the power system and the Soldier Dock System, everyone was completely lost in a fog.
"Anyway, it's just super awesome, right!? As expected of you, Franky!" Luffy just grinned cheekily in response.
Nami's lips curved upwards as she shifted her gaze to Luffy. "The Log Pose has finished setting. The ship's construction is also complete, and everyone's here. What do you say, Captain!?"
Luffy smiled, squatted down, then leaped forcefully onto his special seat, sitting cross-legged, hand placed on the sheep's head.
"Heeheehee! Long time no see, Merry."
Luffy grinned widely, then turned back to the others. "Ready, everyone!?"
"Course confirmed! Wind direction is also perfect!" Nami looked down at her wrist, then looked up and replied.
"Anchor has been raised!"
Reiner personally went into the mid-room on the second floor and shouted to those outside, "Helm is ready!"
"Then leave the sails to us!"
Zoro and Sanji leaped onto the main mast, each standing at one end, grabbing the rigging that held the furled canvas.
Luffy turned his head, grinned at the endless sea, then jumped up and yelled:
"Everyone! Going Merry! Let's set sail!!"
"OOOOH!!"
