Idealistic Golden Age Superhero in a Gritty Modern World

In 1945, near the end of World War II, an idealistic Golden Age superhero willingly sacrificed his life to stop the Wunderwaffe, a terrible weapon created by the Nazis. He was a few days short of his eighteenth birthday, yet he died with a smile, knowing his sacrifice would lead to a brighter future.



However, he didn't actually die but fell into a long coma, waking up seventy-eight years after his supposed death, in a world he barely recognized. He didn't understand the new world but was still determined to be a hero and use his powers to save others.
