Chapter 11

Dominic coldly replied: "What are you doing here?"

Sharon said, glancing at her best friend's face, "I came to visit you, but it seems like the right time. Tell me what's going on."

Dominic still waved his hand coldly:

"You're so busy, go back quickly, if you have time to care about others, then take care of yourself first."

Sharon still forced himself to ask: "I can not care about myself, but I have to care about you. Tell me, is there anything I can do to help?"

Dominic finished his tea, his expression was unpleasant, and said:

"Yesterday, Grandpa used poor health as an excuse to force me to get married."

Sharon was a little surprised and asked: "So you agreed."

Dominic helplessly replied: "The situation is urgent, the doctor said not to let him get agitated, so I had to agree."

Sharon shook her head, sighed, and patted his shoulder:

"The older the ginger, the spicier it is. It seems that you won't be able to escape this disaster this time."

Dominic had been thinking about the past for a long time, unable to let go, he always thought that all women were evil. That was why he hadn't paid attention to any girl for so many years.

"She married me for money, for the Romano family's fortune. Otherwise, how could she easily agree to marry someone she had never met?"

"So many years have passed, and you still can't let go of the past? Not all women are as bad as Lillie."

"Same thing. If my family doesn't have money, will she marry me?" Dominic still kept a cold, emotionless face, glaring and saying,

Sharon didn't know what to say to change his friend's mind. What Dominic said wasn't necessarily wrong. Sharon wondered if Dominic wasn't rich, would the girl have married him?

After investigating Rosabella's workplace, Sharon and Dominic went there together.

The two entered the restaurant and asked to see Rosabella. A moment later, a girl came over.

Sharon, who was always hot-tempered and impatient, immediately asked, "Are you Rosabella Brown?"

Rosabella was surprised and stammered, "Yes, who are you two? Why are you meeting me?"

"I'm Sharon, he's Dominic." Sharon pointed at Dominic and replied.

"What are you two meeting me for?"

Dominic coldly approached and said a cold sentence as if to pour another bucket of cold water on Rosabella's body.

"You don't even remember your fiancé's name? You're quite good at acting. I think you should switch to acting, amateur actors are the worst."

Rosabella answered vaguely, "What are you doing here?"

"Go to the coffee shop next door."

"Okay."

At the coffee shop, the scenery here looked quite nice, and there were also many customers. Three people walked in together, but only one person was talking and one person was listening, while the other person did not pay any attention.

Dominic asked coldly: "What conditions?" He curled his lips slightly, his eyes wide open, his expression disdainful as he continued to ask: "How much money do you need for this marriage?"

Rosabella was stunned, her eyes widened, her mouth gaping: "What do you mean?"

He glanced at his watch, and handed over the prepared contract: "Here is the contract, I give you five minutes to read it and think about whether to sign it or not?"

Rosabella took the contract in surprise. She flipped through the terms of the contract, and glanced at the last page:

"The two parties will automatically terminate the marriage after two years, Party A will compensate Party B two billion after the contract ends. If Party B terminates the contract before the deadline, without Party A's consent, they will have to compensate double." Rosabella put the contract on the table, looked at him, and continued to speak loudly:

"I don't need these two billion, I only need the betrothal money that your family has agreed upon in advance."

Dominic's expression remained unchanged:

"Don't worry, after we get married, I will transfer that money directly to your family. As for this money, consider it as me hiring you to be my wife. If you don't dare to sign, then cancel the engagement, your family won't receive a penny."

She hesitated for a moment, but in the end, she signed. When she folded it, she pursed her lips, sighed, and turned to leave. She couldn't bear to sign, but if she canceled the engagement, her family wouldn't have the money to pay off the debt. There was no other way. Even though it was like she was selling herself to that bastard, at least this time she had paid back all the money that their family had raised, she could go back and live the life she wanted.

---

She had the afternoon off. After work, she called Chinmayi to meet her at the bar in Alley 325. It was her best friend.

"Rosabella, what's wrong with you today? Why are you meeting at the bar?"

The bar was packed, so packed that it was hard to breathe. The smell of alcohol mixed with the fragrant smell of food. Chinmayi was startled when she saw the empty bottles of alcohol on the table. She had drunk so much, something must have happened. Rosabella's face was red, she couldn't sit still, her hands kept pouring, and her mouth drank a glass in one gulp. The food she ordered was still on the table, only the alcohol was gone.

Having just been heartbroken and forced to marry to pay off debts, Rosabella felt that this life was meaningless.

"Chinmayi, let's finish our glasses."

Rosabella finished her glass of alcohol as soon as she finished speaking. She kept pouring and drinking. Chinmayi quickly advised:

"Okay, stop drinking."

Rosabella was delighted, pointing at her mouth and smiling, her eyes looking far away sadly:

"No, today I have to drink until I'm drunk to forget everything."

Chinmayi put down her bag, quickly sat down across from her, and poured a glass:

"Okay, I'll drink with you. Okay?"

"Drink."

Rosabella began to feel dizzy, and her face flushed, she cried and said:

"Chinmayi, Darryl betrayed me."

Chinmayi was startled, her face was full of anger:

"Damn it? That guy dared to betray you. Let me go deal with him."

Rosabella hurriedly pulled Chinmayi's hand, smiling shyly, and said:

"Forget it. That bastard doesn't deserve to be beaten. I'm about to marry a cold, hateful, arrogant guy. From now on, my life will be spent all day facing that cold guy."
