The Banquet and Troubles

David entered the throne room where everyone has gathered, as usual his half sibling were whispering about him while his full sibing simply ignored him as if he didn't exist, however, this didn't mattered to him as he is already used to it, however, David's entrouge including Alice to be boiling inside for David's sibling mistreat David, their dear master who gave them hope but choose to pretend normal due to their respect to David and their promise to him to keep the existance white magic they learned from him a secret for now. "As you know Marquis Evangeline has hold a banquet and our royal family, all the nobles of empire, as well as the high ranking commoners who proved their worth are invited, it is the celebration of their victory in the war against the monster tidal that attacked their land thanks to their prowess in magic as well as their successfull debut of their new firearms will allow their non-magic soldiers to score many kills as well", emperor Heinz told everone. David's eye sparkled with this news afterall as the former scientist he always fascinated with technology, he was literally happy that the technology is progressing well in this world as well, allowing ordinary people to achieve what normally a mage could achieve, regardless of them still being inferior to mages, besides Evangeline family although a magic nobility also enphasised in industrialization as well as improvement in other technology including the ones needed for military. The twins as the sons of a necromancer mother heavily spelises in it, Gilbert chose black necromancy as he preferred combat spells while his brother chose white necromancy due to his goal to become a professional magic doctor, they also have a sister who like their mother proficient in both types of necromancy. The twins are famous for being a prodigy in their respective magic but they are also infamous for being troublemakers, causing troubles wherever they goes, which is the reason why emperor bring up the topic of not causing trouble. "Oh father, don't worry we won't do anything strange wrong", Gilbert said, "Yeah, we will be good kids", Albert added, "I hope you keep the words", emperor said sternly, David on other hand wasn't convinced, he knew how unreliable his two half siblings were, especially when it come to himself, as twins often cause troubles for him whenever they got chance, if it was't for his mother, the empress, they could have been even worse, so, he decided to remind his mother to keep an eye on the twins after the meeting is over.

Next day

The royal family reached the marquis house for the banquet, everyone welcomed them, many nobles greeted the emperor and his three wives, David's siblings and half sibling, David however, was ignored by all as they believe him to have no special qualities, of course David didn't care and was actually glad that no one bother him. David's oldest brother Thomas Von Cerberus the 1st prince and David's other brother William Von Cerberus the 2nd prince were center of attention greeted by many ladies wanted to marry him. David as usual was unconcerned and focused on the meals that was served, today he felt like it was his lucky day as all the delicacies that is served here were all his favourite food and he start eating immediately regardless of his manners. "Attention, the marquis Johnathan Evangeline and his daughter Alyssa Evangeline have arrived", the gaurds spoke, everyone saw a very handsome man and beautiful little girl coming arriving, Johnathan is a great noble whose family although specializes in spellcasting and magic swordmamship, also cared for ordinary civilians as well, he also have a stronge sense of justice and equality caring for veryone regardless of their position and status, earning him praise from both nobles and commoners, the fact that he also invited commoners as well is proof of that, ever since his wife passed he raised his son and daughter carefully, he was strict but kind, he taught his children how to become a good noble and responsibility one would recieve when they become a noble. Both his children followed his example, try their best to become like him, his son Delsin Evangeline, is a prodigy in both business as well military, he is also a magic swordmaster and known to defeat countless monsters and evil people all of whom are very powerful adversary, especially a certain monster tamer who was suspected to be the one behind monster tide, because of this Delsin chose not come to the banquet and instead focused on investigation, thus, explaining his absense, Johnathan's daughter Alyssa Evangeline, who wasn't intrested in business, politics and military, instead desired to become an adventurer, partially due to the fact that she was sad about the fact that his father wanted to get her married, something she don't want as she wasn't interested in romance at all, she specializes in blend of spellcasting and magic swordmanship techniques, she just not only use magic to augment her swordmanship but also use spell for range attacks or to create openings. "Your magesty long time no see", marquis Johnathan said respectfully, "Hey, didn't I told you to call be just Heinz, afterall, i feel somewhat uncomfortable when my best friend call me magesty", emperor Heinz replied, "Yeah, yeah, I understood", marquis said with a smile. Meanwhile, Thomas, William, Gilbert and Albert introduce themselves to Alyssa, wanting to impress her, Alyssa replied politely but she wasn't intrested any one of them, suddenly her gaze fall on David who was eating mannerlessly, the boys also saw what Alyssa saw. "Who is him?", Alyssa asked, "He is my and William's brother, the 8th prince David", Thomas replied half annoyed, "I apologize for our brother's rude behaviour", William apologized to Alyssa, the twins also glared at David as if he ruining the banquet by his lack of manners, "No, no, I have no problem with his manners it was something else", Alyssa replied, the brothers looked at each other, wondering what Alyssa meant. Unknown to them Alyssa possess a rare ability known only to her father, brother and few other people, she possess magic eye, a powerful ability that serves as a medium for various overpowered spell as well as 3rd strongest in terms of analysis, she analyse David, just out of curiousity yo see whether he really is magicless as rumored as it was well known fact that David is non-mage despite his both parents being powerful mages, however, she was stunned when she saw him having mana in his body, which is out of ordinary as mana only manifest within mages non-mages lacks mana as an extension of their inability to use magic, but what surprised her more is the nature of his power, a mage's aura constantly clash with cosmic energy which cause vibration around them that could only be sense through certain means, besides cosmic energy is a part of natural law in surrounding area, something that the mage must overcome as natural law is like a shackle which limits a mage's freedom, infact defeating the natural law is the main goal of mage to set themselves free. But in David's case rather than a clash there is a strange resonance between with aura and cosmic energy, thus, strengthening the natural law around him, there is no vibration around as well as there is no clash but rather oneness. She wondered if David is actually a mage and was just hiding his powers for unknown reason, and if he really is a mage then why there is no clash between him and natural law. She then turn to the brothers, "Do you anything about...", Alyssa spoke but before she could finish her sentence, a blast took place resulting in breaking of a wall of banquet hall, smoke rise within hall, "What the...", Johnathan was shocked, the emperor also felt something is wrong, panic is erupted in the hall, after the smoke cleared a group of black robes people was surrounding everyone, "Capture the marquis daughter", the leader of black robes said, David who was eating just stopped looked around, "What the hell is going on?!", he thought.
