"Monsters... no... Devils..." Surya whispered, his hands shaking for a brief moment.
The underground base reeked of blood, burnt flesh, and fear.
The Wormen roared, their grotesque jaws stretching wide as they tore through helpless men and women. A little boy stumbled backwards, his tiny body shaking, his eyes hollow with terror.
A Wormen's claw reached for him — sharp, twisted fingers dripping with blood.
CLANG!
In an instant — the claw was severed.
Blood sprayed like black rain.
"GET BACK!" Surya's voice roared like a storm.
The boy fell on the ground, crying uncontrollably. Aditya landed beside him, lifting him up with a rough kindness.
"Run to the exit, don't look back... Live. That's your revenge for now."
The Wormen screeched in rage. More of them turned their heads towards Surya and Aditya.
Surya's sword dripped with dark blood. Aditya unsheathed his crimson blade, its edge humming faintly like a beast waiting to devour.
"Surya... remember what I told you." Aditya's voice was cold but carrying weight.
"A sword without anger is a stick. A sword without purpose is broken metal."
"Make your anger... your blade."
Both of them charged.
---
The fight was not clean. Not glorious. It was survival.
They hacked, stabbed, and exploded the creatures into pieces. But the horror began when the pieces twitched...
Regenerating.
Flesh pulling itself back together. Bones snapping into place.
Surya's eyes widened. "They... They can't die easily...!?"
Aditya spat on the ground. "Regeneration... But something's off. They regenerate alone, not multiply. They're not perfect... Yet."
They fought harder. Giving the citizens more time.
Aditya cut through another Wormen and whispered to himself, "This world... is no longer fair. But neither was life for us."
Flashback —
Aditya as a child — weak, small, crying in the arms of his dead mother. Pirates laughed. His father's last words? "Run, son... even if you hate yourself... run."
He ran. Into the dark forest. Alone. Broken. But not dead.
"Equality doesn't exist... So I will create it with my own hands."

Back in the present...
Surya screamed as he cut down another monster.
"This pain... This rage...! I will protect them... even if I shatter myself!"
Blood drenched him. His arms shook. But he fought on.
Aditya beside him whispered darkly:
"Monsters are not the ones with claws and teeth... Monsters are those who abandon the weak. Remember this, Surya."
The military from far away watched them on drone footage.
A general murmured in shock, "Who... are these masked boys? Just two... against an army of death..."
---
In the burning base — amid smoke and ash — Surya and Aditya stood bloodied but alive.
Surya whispered, breathing heavily, looking at the regenerating monsters still coming for them:
"Aditya... We can't run forever... We need to find their weakness... We need... a way to kill them."
Aditya smirked, blade resting on his shoulder.
"We will. But for now... we fight. We make them remember our names in their nightmares."
