The System of Neo-Terra
The World System is the unseen force that governs all aspects of life on Neo-Terra. It functions as both a natural law and an advanced digital framework, assigning Classes, Stats, and Skills to individuals. While most inhabitants believe the System is an eternal, infallible force, few know that it was created—and even fewer understand how it truly works.
1. System Mechanics
Upon reaching a certain age, all citizens undergo System Awakening, where their personal Class, Stats, and Skills are assigned. These designations define a person's strengths, weaknesses, and role in society.
• Classes: Each person is assigned a class based on their potential. Classes dictate stat growth and skill availability.
• Stats: The core attributes that determine physical, mental, and magical prowess.
• Skills: Abilities granted by the System, varying from combat techniques to magical spells and technological enhancements.
[Basic Example of a Status Screen]
[Name: Elias Voss]
[Class: Arcane Sentinel]
[Level: 15]
[Stats:]
• Strength: 14
• Dexterity: 12
• Intelligence: 22
• Vitality: 16
• Arcane Power: 30
• System Synchronization: 87%
[Skills:]
• Arcane Barrier (Active): Generates a magical shield that absorbs damage.
• Data Link (Passive): Grants direct access to System archives for real-time analysis.
• Precision Overload (Active): Enhances accuracy for ranged attacks.
2. System Synchronization
One of the most important yet least understood aspects of the System is System Synchronization (Sync %). This measures how well an individual is attuned to the System's laws.
• High Synchronization (Above 80%) → Stronger connection, faster skill acquisition, greater stat efficiency.
• Low Synchronization (Below 50%) → Weak connection, difficulty in leveling up, skills may not function properly.
• Zero Synchronization (0%) → System rejection. The person is either dead… or something else entirely.
Gabriel, unlike everyone else, is an anomaly—he was born into the world with no assigned Class or Skills, and his System Synchronization is fluctuating between 0% and ???%, something that should be impossible.
3. System Guardians & Enforcement
To maintain control, the Federation employs System Guardians, AI-driven constructs that exist to protect the integrity of the System. These entities are capable of detecting and eliminating Deviants, individuals who manipulate or exploit the System in ways that defy its intended functionality.
• Enforcer Mechs: Combat units piloted by elite Federation soldiers, synced directly with the System for enhanced reflexes.
• Sentinels: AI-controlled constructs capable of rewriting local System rules in real-time.
• World Guardians: High-tier security protocols embedded deep within the System, capable of overriding human control.
The moment Gabriel hacked the System, he triggered its security protocols. Now, he is a direct target for elimination.
4. The True Purpose of the System
While the Federation claims the System was a natural phenomenon, classified archives hint at something else—something deliberately designed.
Gabriel's access to restricted files has revealed fragments of a hidden project:
[SYSTEM ROOT PROTOCOL: PROJECT GODHAND]
[Purpose: Maintain Global Stability]
[Deviant Classification: ERROR - Unresolved Threat]
If the System is not natural, then what is it? Who built it? And why are Deviants labeled as a world-ending threat?
Gabriel isn't just defying the System. He's beginning to unravel its deepest secrets.
Society is divided into three major groups:
1. The Federation – The ruling government that controls access to the System, enforcing order through military strength and technological advancements.
2. The Academy – A prestigious institution that trains elite warriors, engineers, and scholars to harness the System's power.
3. The Outcasts – A scattered resistance made up of rebels, rogue scientists, and Deviants—people who have broken free from the System's control.
While most people accept the System's authority, whispers of its true origins have long been suppressed. The Deviants, those who can alter or break System restrictions, are considered an existential threat. Gabriel, now marked as one of them, is caught in the middle of a war he doesn't fully understand.
But one thing is clear—if the System has rules, then it also has loopholes.
And Gabriel intends to exploit every single one.
