One Way Cliff

"Where are we going?" Allegra asked when she saw the driver had swerved off the road leading to the villa and continued down on another road leading further away from the city.

Nobody answered.

"I asked, where are we going, this is not the way to the villa" she said, seating forward as she turned to face Seviun who sat by her side, "Alpha? This is not the right way" she told him

"Of course, I know that, dumb human. We all know that" He said giving her an irritated once over.

"So we are not going to the villa" she dumbly stated the obvious

"Bingo! 10 points to the waitress" he sarcastically said causing the bodyguard seated in front with the driver to snicker, Allegra eyed the back of the man's head.

Turning back to Seviun she asked, "Where are we going if not the villa?"

"You will find out soon waitress" he said, turning to her with a smile that was all too beastly, baring his longer werewolf teeth. For the first time in all the nearly seven weeks she has been with the Alpha King did Allegra feel actual fear. Fear for her safety, for what he could do to her.

But why should she be scared of him, of his punishment when she hasn't really done anything wrong that would warrant punishment from him. Well, other than the few slip ups she has had in the past weeks; from their first meeting at the diner, to her usual not so docile servant attitude and quick tongue when she is speaking to him, to her pouring hot coffee on him three weeks ago (albeit mistakenly), to the refusal to massage him that night, to her losing track of time and not coming home on time for her duties today, and to her calling him an asshole to his hearing mere hours ago.

Okay, when it is put that way it does sound like quite a lot.

They may sound trivial, but she knows Seviun, and such things are not trivial to him especially when they were committed by a certain human waitress he already has in his bad books. Allegra is near 100% certain he has been taking note of them all in some part of his hateful brain and has planned and visualized how he would punish her for each one someday.

And just her luck, today might be that day.

Soon, miles outside the city, the driver stopped the car and parked. Allegra looked around her surroundings through the tinted windows of the vehicle and all she could see around her were tall trees and forage lining the road, she didn't think she knows this place, but why did it feel familiar.

They were in some mountainous terrain, that much was obvious, and off to the side, just outside Seviun's window she saw an opening and a narrow path leading downwards. Then she realized why the place feels familiar, she has been here once before with her friends.

It was on Laura's birthday two years ago and she wanted to do something crazy, so her big idea had been to drive all the way out here and stand at the edge of a dangerous mountain cliff, and of course she had dragged them all to come with her. In her very own words, these were the reasons why she dragged them; Chester for his car, to be their designated driver, Katie because her phone took the best pictures, Ryan because he baked a cake for her and snacks for the occasion, and she just because she could drag her.

As she recalled that day, with wide eyes she remembered exactly where that narrow path led to, the cliff where Laura had gone to stand at the edge of; the deadliest cliff in the city. Seviun had brought her to the deadliest cliff in the city, the cliff nicknamed One Way Cliff; because it's only one way, once you go down it, you are gone, no way back.

Please let his intention not be to throw me down from it

"Get down!" she heard the bodyguard roughly say as he stood at her open door, drawing her out of her thoughts. As she came back to reality, she realized she was the only one left in the car, when had the others alighted and why was Seviun nowhere in sight.

When she still made no move to get down, the burly bodyguard roughly dragged her out of the car by her arm. She let out a loud yelp, thinking he would release her once she was out of the car, but, no, he dragged her by her arm with her protesting all the way down the path to the clear mountain land just before the cliff, where Seviun and the driver were already waiting.

"Do you want to pull her arm off, Bear?" Seviun asked the bodyguard as he finally unmanned her, his back was to them as he spoke and Allegra nearly did wonder how he knew the bodyguard was dragging her by her arm when he wasn't even looking at them, but rather than wonder about the heightened senses of the werewolf alpha, her mind thought; 'of course the burly guard's name is Bear, how apt'

"No, Alpha. Sorry, Alpha" Bear said as he released Allegra who dragged her hand back and cast him a murderous glare, he ignored, as she rubbed her arm.

"No need to be sorry" Seviun said as he finally turned to face them, his mischievous sleep deprived eyes on her.

She gulped.
