Chapter-137 Punch

Jay-jay's POV

"I'm going to kill Edy!" Ci-N shouted.

"That's not even his name!" Josh snapped, trying to keep the cat away from Ci-N.

They had been like this since yesterday. After getting his anti-rabies shot, Ci-N had been acting weird and kept looking for the cat.

Josh, being smart about it, held onto the cat and refused to let go.

"Leave the cat alone!" I scolded Ci-N.

"But it bit me, Jay..." he answered, on the verge of tears.

I scratched my head. It was his fault for getting bitten. Who pokes a cat while it's eating?

"That's your fault," Mayo chimed in, patting Edy's head.

"I was the one who fed it, and it still bit me!" Ci complained.

"It's a cat, not a dog. What were you expecting?" Josh lectured him.

"Oh sure, go ahead and defend that stupid cat!" Ci retorted before suddenly hugging me. "...They're ganging up on me."

But before the hug even lasted a second, a hand suddenly pulled us apart. We all turned to see who it was.

Yuri...

"You're getting too attached to Jay-jay. Maybe you should tone it down," he said.

Ci didn't answer, but he looked at me as if asking, What's Yuri's problem?

Yuri walked away, but all of us were still looking at him.

Was he jealous again?

Speaking of jealousy, my gaze naturally drifted toward Keifer. He was staring straight at me, and I couldn't tell if he was angry or what.

I looked away, but for some reason, my gaze returned to him—and just then, he rolled his eyes.

Oh, my god.

That was the sharpest eye roll I had ever seen! He even beat me at it! This annoying guy!

"Are you and Yuri together?" Mayo asked me.

I shook my head. "N-no."

"Then why does he act like he owns you?" Ci added.

"I-it's just... b-because..."

Tsk! Annoying!

It's all Yuri's fault! Now I don't even know what to say. This sucks!

"Come on, you know Yuri. He was like this with Ella before," Josh suddenly pointed out.

"Hahaha… yeah," Mayo agreed. "...And in the end, your friend got BH."

Then he laughed.

I felt irritated by what he said. They were making a joke out of something Yuri had cried over. As if they hadn't gone through something similar.

I stood up and walked away. Ci called after me, but I ignored him. I walked out and headed to the second floor of our building.

The wind was strong there, and the fresh air felt nice.

When I arrived, I saw Kit.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

He looked at me and forced a smile. "Nothing... I just wanted to be alone."

"Same here..." I said, walking closer to him. "...How are you and... hmm... Mayo?"

"I don't know. He keeps bothering me, but I really don't want this anymore. I want to fix what's wrong with me."

"There's nothing wrong with you. It's not wrong to be third gender," I said, making him look at me.

"Easy for you to say. You're not in my situation."

I froze. He was right. I wasn't in his position, so I shouldn't speak like I knew what he was going through.

"Maybe... But you didn't choose this. You became this way because there's a reason."

He let out a small laugh. "That's exactly it. I wish I was given a choice before I turned out like this."

"Who knows… Everything happens for a reason."

We both fell silent. It felt a bit awkward, but the strong wind filled the quiet space between us.

"Should I go through with my plan? Maybe it'll work, and I'll become a real man again," he said, leaning his face closer to mine.

I clenched my fist. "Try putting your lips on me again." I warned him.

But instead of taking me seriously, he just burst out laughing.

I shot him a glare. Idiot! I really thought he was going to do it again.

Suddenly, the bell rang. Class time.

"Let's go..." he said.

I nodded, and we walked together toward the stairs. But we both froze when we saw someone standing there. He was looking at us, and I could see confusion, shock, and anger all at once on his face.

"D-did you kiss Jay-jay?" Mayo asked.

Kit didn't answer. He just walked straight past him, completely ignoring the question.

I immediately followed him.

"Hold on! I'm talking to you!" Mayo shouted.

Kit still didn't respond and just kept walking. We were close to our classroom when Mayo suddenly grabbed Kit by the arm.

The two of them exchanged sharp glares.

"Let go of me," Kit ordered coldly.

"I'm not done talking to you!" Mayo shot back.

Honestly, I didn't know what to do. This wasn't my business. I wasn't part of their love life drama.

I kept walking toward our classroom, but just as I passed them, a hand grabbed me.

"Stay here," Kit said.

Mayo immediately glared at me.

Why are you mad at me?!

"Is it Jay-jay? Is she the reason?" Mayo asked Kit.

I quickly shook my head. "Hey, no!"

"Then why did you let him kiss you?! Because you wanted it too? Nice! You already got Keifer and Yuri, and now you're dragging Kit into this too!" he snapped at me.

I frowned. What the hell was he trying to say?

Kit immediately grabbed Mayo by the collar. "Don't talk to Jay-jay like that!"

"Why? It's true! She's no different from Ell——"

A powerful punch from Kit cut him off.

Mayo collapsed to the ground. I gasped in shock, and that was enough to make the other students come rushing out of the classroom.

"What happened?!" Edrix asked, immediately helping Mayo up.

"Nothing... He was being rude, so I punched him," Kit answered nonchalantly before walking into the room.

The others and I were left staring at Mayo in disbelief.

When Mayo got up, he shoved Edrix aside and shot me a furious glare.

"We need to talk. Alone," he said firmly before grabbing my wrist and pulling me away from the others.

"W-wait! That hurts, Mayo!" I shouted, trying to free my hand.

We stopped near a tree beside the classroom. I yanked my hand back angrily.

"What's your problem?!" I snapped.

"Do you like Kit?!" he demanded.

"I don't like him!" I yelled back.

"Then why did you let him kiss you?!"

"Idiot! I didn't let him! He tried, but it didn't happen! I didn't let him kiss me!" I screamed, my voice almost giving out.

This idiot! I had to yell just to get it through his thick skull.

But in my frustration, I forgot that we were near the classroom—where people could overhear us.

"Who tried to kiss you?" a voice suddenly asked.

Mayo and I turned to see who it was.

I sighed in relief.

For a second, I thought it was him who had overheard us.

"...Who?" Edrix repeated.

"I-it's nothing... Y-you misheard," I quickly said.

"But you were yelling—"

"Edrix! Please!" I begged.

I didn't want him to find out. If Keifer knew, who knows what he'd do to Kit?

"Does Keifer know?" Edrix asked.

I quickly shook my head and moved closer to him. "D-don't tell him. Please!"

"But Jay—"

"Can you just stay out of this?!" Mayo snapped at Edrix.

Edrix's brows furrowed. It was obvious he wasn't pleased with Mayo's attitude.

"What's your problem?!" Edrix asked, annoyed.

"I'm talking to this girl right now!" Mayo shot back, pointing at me.

"Don't point at Jay-jay!" Edrix yelled, stepping toward him.

I quickly got between them.

I had to stop them before things got worse. If they started a fight, the others would come out and ask what happened.

And then, they'd find out what Kit did!

"What?! Did this girl fool you too?!" Mayo sneered, pointing at me again. "…Nice! Go ahead and seduce all of Section E! Make it a full set! You're no different from Ella!"

"What did you just say?! Don't you—"

I didn't let Edrix finish. There was no point in wasting his breath on this guy. I had to take action myself.

I was pissed! Of all people to compare me to, why did it have to be Ella? He could've at least picked someone else.

"J-Jay… I think he's bleeding." Edrix said, looking at Mayo on the ground.

Oh no!

I lost control. I ended up punching him. But I think I made a mistake—his nose was now bleeding.

Haizt! A big mistake! And I hit him so hard too!
