He stood in a pool of blood.

Beneath his disheveled hair, a pair of weary crimson eyes flickered dimly.

His body was covered in wounds—cuts from blades, slashes from swords, burns from magic…

Every wound bled, every drop of blood draining away his life.

Beneath his feet lay a hill made of corpses.

He stood there, gripping his demon sword—Dark Extinction—in his right hand.

Fresh blood still dripped from its edge, staining the ground below.

The blood-red eye embedded in the sword’s blade pulsed ominously.

Countless chains slithered out from the hilt, creeping up his right shoulder, consuming it entirely, binding the sword and his hand as one.

And there he stood, breathing heavily—wearily, yet resolutely.

The great deity gazed upon him with sorrow and spoke:

“Child, the demon’s blood has completely devoured you. Now, what is it that you still desire?”

He lowered his head and remained silent…

Suddenly, a flurry of feathers rose around him.

They were fragile, delicate…

Anyone could see that such feathers could never hope to stop a man who had been wholly consumed by the demon’s blood.

He trembled as he lifted his left hand.
