Choosen Hero Or Choose One! - II

Kingdom of Ruin

After a few minutes, we arrived at the kingdom's entrance. The side guards immediately opened the grand gates, their eyes filled with curiosity as they glanced at me.

As we rode through the streets, the atmosphere changed. The people's attention locked onto me, their curiosity peaking. It was clear—they had been waiting for this moment, wondering when their "chosen hero" would finally arrive.

I could hear murmurs from the crowd.

"Who is that guy?"

"Is he...?"

Ignoring their whispers, we continued towards the mansion. Upon reaching our destination, the knights who had accompanied us nodded towards Captain Steve before turning away, leaving me alone with him.

"You can get off now," Steve said.

I carefully dismounted from the horse, and he did the same. Without wasting time, I followed him toward the massive mansion gates.

As the doors creaked open, my eyes were immediately drawn to the grand throne at the center of the room—where the king sat. The towering pillars and intricately designed walls gave the entire place a royal, majestic aura. This was my first time seeing a mansion in another world, and it was beyond anything I had imagined.

The king's sharp gaze landed on us. His voice carried authority.

"Now, who is this kid, Steve?"

At that moment, I learned the captain's name—Steve. He wasn't just any knight; he was the first honorable knight and A-rank general of the Kingdom of Ruin.

Lowering his head in respect, Steve spoke.

"Your Majesty, the kingdom's long wait is over. The one sent by Gaia has arrived."

He then turned to me.

"Boy, show the sign."

I stepped forward and extended my right hand. As before, my wrist glowed with a celestial golden light.

The king's eyes widened in disbelief. He immediately stood up from his throne and approached me.

"Wait… wait… hold on… this is real?"

Steve nodded. "Yes, Your Majesty. You're standing before the boy chosen by Gaia."

King Draven reached for my wrist, running his fingers over the glowing mark. His expression softened.

"It's finally over… We've waited five years for you, kid."

I opened my mouth to speak, but he interrupted me.

"Boy, no need for formalities. Don't call me 'Your Majesty' or 'Your Highness'—just call me by my name, Draven."

I was stunned. A king allowing me to address him by name? That was beyond surprising—it felt more like something a friend would do.

Draven smiled. "Come on, do you really want me to keep calling you 'boy' or 'kid'? Tell us your name."

"Kelvin. I'm Kelvin," I replied.

Draven nodded in approval. "Kelvin… A strong name for our chosen hero. But before anything else, we need to test your powers."

Before I could respond, he suddenly asked, "By the way, Kelvin, how old are you?"

"I'm 15," I answered.

Draven raised a brow. "15? Well, well… that's the exact same age as my daughter."

Hearing that, I instinctively looked down, feeling a bit awkward. "Uh, I see… But shouldn't we focus on testing my abilities first?"

Before Draven could reply—

"DAD! DAD!!"

"Sweetie, slow down! Mama can't run that fast!"

A girl suddenly sprinted into the room, her excited voice echoing through the hall. Behind her, a woman followed, trying to keep up.

"Dad!" The girl rushed forward and hugged the king tightly.

I stood there, looking between Draven, the girl, and the woman… Then it hit me.

That girl was his daughter.

And that woman… was his wife.

But wait—why is she so damn attractive?!

I glanced at the princess. She was beautiful, sure. But the queen? She was ridiculously gorgeous for someone her age.

"Kelvin, no. Don't think like that!" I quickly shook my head, muttering to myself.

Beside me, Steve leaned in and whispered, "They are the Reve Family."

I turned to him, then back at the royal family.

Reve Family? Rain Family? Why do their names sound so weird?

I tried to hold back a chuckle, covering my mouth slightly.

Unfortunately, Draven noticed.

His sharp eyes locked onto me.

"Kelvin… What's so funny? Why are you giggling?"

Damn.
