The Truth...

Draven nod with the attention as he continue.

"Kelvin, can you tell us where you're from?" Draven asked, his tone curious. "We know Gaia sent you as our chosen hero, but we're still eager to understand how your world differs from ours."

I nodded and began.

"I'm from a world called Earth. There, magic is just fiction—something found in video games or books, not reality."

"Earth… I've never heard of it," Draven mused. "And you mentioned video games? What are those?"

"Video games are digital games played on a screen, where players control characters in imaginary worlds." I said

"Hmm, sounds like advanced technology," Steve commented.

"Wait... does that mean phones don't exist here?" I asked, my eyes widening.

"Phones?" Draven repeated, confused.

"Phones are portable devices used to talk to others, watch videos, browse the internet, or play games—basically, a handheld hub of modern life."I reply

"Kelvin, those kinds of technologies don't exist in this world," Steve said plainly.

Draven added with a shrug,

"And yes, in one word—phones do not exist here."

"WHAAAAAT?!" I yelled dramatically. "That means... my favorite game... it's gone… forever?!"

Steve gently placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Calm down. We know you miss your game, but now you have to focus. There's a reason Gaia brought you here—your purpose matters."

Draven leaned back into his throne with a chuckle.

"You truly loved your games, huh? But look on the bright side—you're now in a fantasy world where the powers you only dreamed of are real."

"Yeah… you're right," I admitted with a slight laugh. "But still… I'd been playing that game for two years straight. It hurts, man."

I smirked as I added,

"Also, I read in books that fantasy worlds usually have no rules... is that true?"

Both Draven and Steve burst into laughter.

"Oh god," Draven said, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye. "You really think that? Well, you're not completely wrong. The rules here are nothing like your Earth."

I felt a sly smile tug at my lips.

"Hmm… are you already imagining getting married in your teenage years? Maybe to someone in her twenties… or even from a different race?" Steve teased.

"Wait—WHAT?!"

Draven laughed harder.

"We can already tell, Kelvin. Our chosen hero is quite different from the rest."

"Teenage body… but thoughts of a full-grown adult," Steve added with a grin.

I couldn't even find words to defend myself. It was embarrassing—but they weren't exactly wrong...

"No wonder you've been having some naughty thoughts about the Queen," Steve leaned in and whispered in my ear with a teasing smirk.

Damn it… Kelvin, think. Think! I needed to get out of this before it went any further.

Suddenly, an idea popped into my head.

"A-Alright! Let's just drop that topic, okay?" I said quickly, trying to sound serious.

"How about we focus on learning more about this world instead?"

"Ah, now you're getting to the point," Draven said with a knowing smile, then glanced at Steve, giving him the cue to explain.

Steve nodded and began.

"This world is divided into five major kingdoms. Out of those, four are ruled by powerful women of different races. They are:

The Kingdom of Enaza – ruled by a mighty Kitsune Queen.

The Kingdom of Asgard – led by an elegant and powerful Elf Queen.

The Kingdom of Snezya – governed by a fierce Beast Queen."

He paused for a breath and turned to Draven before continuing.

"And finally, our own kingdom—The Kingdom of Ruin, ruled by our King and Queen, both of whom are ranked S+."

I glanced at Draven, who was already straightening his posture, pride practically oozing from his expression as he adjusted his royal robes with a smug grin.

"So... all these kingdoms are led by different species: kitsune, elves, beasts… and this one is ruled by humans," I said thoughtfully.

"But why is it that only this kingdom has a king and queen, while the others are ruled solely by queens? And wait… are all those queens single?"

Draven chuckled, clearly enjoying the moment.

"Of course they're single! They've been waiting for you, our chosen hero—to come and claim them!"

Steve burst out laughing beside him.

"Looks like your wildest dreams are coming true, buddy!"

"Oh, come on! Cut it out!" I waved my hands, my face heating up.

"Let's just move on to the last kingdom, alright?"

"The last kingdom," Draven began, his voice turning serious, "is the Kingdom of Ethernia—ruled by the most powerful being in the world… the first living ancient vampire and Queen of darkness: Vanessa Tepes."

A shiver ran down my spine at the weight of that name.

"That's… intense," I muttered. "An ancient vampire queen? That explains the ominous feeling. But still… why was I summoned here by Gaia? She didn't even explain the reason to me."

Draven gave a nod, and Steve stepped forward to answer.

"Centuries ago, when the world was still young, there existed only one kingdom—Ethernia. The vampire queen Vanessa Tepes ruled it with an iron grip. She demanded worship from all races, treating everyone as slaves. And if anyone dared disobey her, she didn't just kill them—she tortured them until death finally showed mercy."

I clenched my fists as I imagined the horrors.

"Back then, no race, no kingdom, had the strength to resist her," Steve continued.

"Her power was unmatched. Her tyranny, absolute."

Draven took over, his expression grave.

"But then... a legendary hero rose. One who challenged her rule. This hero sparked a rebellion that grew into a full-blown war—a war where the entire world stood united against the Queen of Vampires."

I listened in stunned silence.

"In the final battle, Vanessa was nearly victorious," Draven said. "But the hero sacrificed his life to seal her away—trapping her deep within her own kingdom, ending her reign… for a time."

The room fell quiet, a heavy silence following that grim history.

Draven finally broke it.

"And now… in this era… the seal has shattered. The vampire queen has returned. And with her, the nightmares have begun anew."

Steve added, his voice low, "All four kingdoms—Enaza, Asgard, Snezya, and Ruin—joined forces in a war against her. But even weakened from her slumber, she overwhelmed us. Her strength… it was still far beyond what we imagined."

My thoughts raced. So this… this is why Gaia chose me? To stop her?

"I see now..." I whispered. "To save this world, I must defeat her… not just seal her again, but end her—forever."

Steve nodded grimly.

"That's right. And here's the catch—right now, Vanessa is vulnerable. She used most of her power during the war. But she can recover it all—if she finds you, Kelvin… and drinks your blood."

My eyes widened.

"M-My blood? But why?!"

"Because you're not just any human," Draven said. "You're the chosen one blessed by Gaia. Your blood holds the power to awaken her full strength."

"But then… can't you all just take her down now—while she's still weak?" I asked.

"Believe me, we would," Steve said. "But she's vanished. Her kingdom now lies abandoned and in ruins. She's hiding in the shadows, waiting… waiting to regain her strength."

Draven finished, "All four kingdoms have deployed scouts and elite guards across the lands to search for her. But so far, not a single trace."

"You know, vampires have a natural talent for hiding in the darkness," Steve said, his tone grim.

A strange twist of fate… The vampire queen—once the ruler of the world—is now lurking in the shadows, weakened. But now that I've arrived, there's no doubt she'll find out. She'll come for me. She has to—to regain her strength. She's probably already planning how to approach me… and drink my blood.

"By the way," I suddenly asked, trying to recall, "what was her name again?"

Draven looked up. "Vanessa Tepes."

"...Vanessa…" I repeated slowly, letting the name linger on my lips.

It felt strangely familiar. Heavy. Powerful. Dangerous.
