Serena received evidence that proved her brother-in-law, Asher, killed her adoptive sister, Lariette, a year ago. When she received the evidence, Asher invited her to drink at a bar. However, they accidentally kissed when Serena was bullied by a woman who wanted to match her with Asher. When they kissed, Serena suddenly had the ability to see a piece of Lariette's memory. At first, Serena still couldn't believe that this miracle really happened to her just because she kissed her brother-in-law. However, as time went by, after thinking about it, marrying Asher actually brought her luck so she could see Lariette's memory just by kissing him. Finally Serena agreed to marry Asher, but it was not that easy to achieve her wish. The condition given by Asher was that they were not allowed to kiss each other or have sex even though her parents demanded that they have a child soon. 

This made Serena even crazier. How could she tempt Asher who was very cold and mysterious, to want to kiss her?

Of course Serena was determined to leave her husband as soon as possible because she was worried that her husband would be threatened by Barbara one day. For her, they only had to be apart for two weeks, it wasn't a very difficult thing. Now she wanted to test Asher's response because Asher certainly wouldn't allow her to leave him suddenly.

"What is your reason for suddenly leaving me?" Asher asked softly.

"Because I don't deserve to stay in your house for two weeks. Soon you will be Barbara's husband."

"Why did you say that?" Asher got up from the couch and approached his wife weakly. "Did you lie to me this afternoon? I'm sure something happened to you at lunch."
