Noir slowly rose from his chair. It had been three days since his meeting with Nadia.

Now, he had managed to attract more adventurers to the dungeon. Something very significant had also happened...

"Awesome! I've got thirty points now," Noir said excitedly, staring at the floating black screen in front of him.

"Alright, let's go with this one!" Noir dragged his finger over an item called [Skeleton Equipment: Set of Rusty Swords]. The item description popped up on the screen:

Noir carefully looked at the price. The item cost five points. He nodded and muttered with a half-smile, "Finally, something that doesn't drain my wallet."

He pressed the purchase button, and a mechanical voice echoed:

[Item successfully purchased. Equipped skeletons will now spawn in the dungeon.]

"Perfect! At least now those clumsy skeletons have swords. This way, adventurers won't think they're fighting puppets," Noir said aloud.

He glanced back at the shop screen. His points had now dropped to 25. He murmured, "Alright, I still have points. Maybe I should buy something to defend myself. Who knows, maybe some reckless adventurer will come straight for the dungeon master."

He browsed the shop menu for a few more moments until an option called [Basic Defensive Shield] caught his eye. He read the item description aloud:

"A simple defensive shield that can block light attacks. Ideal for beginner dungeon masters!"

Noir scratched his chin and thought, "Well, it's basic, but it'll do for me. Let's grab this one too."

After pressing the purchase button, the system voice announced again that the item had been successfully purchased. A small defensive shield appeared on the table beside him. He looked at it and gave a bitter smile, "This looks more like a kid's shield, but it's better than nothing."

He leaned the shield against the wall of his room and turned toward the dungeon map. It was time to check the traps and overall layout, especially now that the dungeon was becoming more active with the influx of adventurers.

Staring at the map with determination, he said in a serious tone, "Now it's time to prepare this place so even professional adventurers will have a hard time."

"Alright, the new designs are ready. Now, I need to take care of something else."

Noir walked out of the room with calm steps.

A few days ago, a novice sorceress came to this dungeon with a group of adventurers. That sorceress was truly a cunning, clever, and greedy girl.

Her companions carried highly valuable items, which hinted that those boys came from wealthy families.

Just as the two swordsmen stepped forward to face the skeletons, she used a paralyzing spell to immobilize them. After defeating the skeletons with magic, she killed the two boys to loot their gear.

I can still vividly recall her disgusting, toothy grin as she drove her dagger into the throats of those who had trusted her.

Remembering that scene sent a thrill through Noir's heart, and an eerie smile crept onto his lips.

"That girl... she's exactly what I need."
