Chapter 8

Everyone praised us as a perfect match, a couple made in heaven.

Amid the cheers of online fans, Sarah seemed to find her courage again.

She went to great lengths to get my current address from one of my collaborating artists.

My place was quite remote, with hardly any neighbors around.

She came to my doorstep with a guitar, singing the love song from when she first pursued me.

As soon as she started singing, I dumped a trash can on her from upstairs.

Sarah smiled feebly, "Michael, congratulations on finally achieving your dream."

I showed no mercy, "Yeah, if it weren't for you, I would've achieved it two years earlier."

The smile froze on Sarah's face.

After a long silence, she finally pulled out a crumpled card from her pocket.

"This is the wish card you once gave me. You said that as long as I had this card, you'd grant any wish I made."
