The vast ruins were filled with an inexplicable silence. Everyone stared at Kai.

"No!" Kai said solemnly, lying through his teeth.

"No?" Inuzuka Haka rolled his eyes. "You're really hiding something, kid."

"I'll tell you a secret. Uzuki made a bet with us. If you learn the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, he'll let Yūgao go on a blind date with you."

"You're both fourteen or fifteen years old. It's time to start thinking about settling down."

Kai almost choked on his own blood.

Inside the cave, Uzuki Yūgao handed the Flying Thunder God kunai to Uzuki Ao.

Uzuki Yūgao was stunned. This was the first time she had seen her father act like a child, so admiring a young man.
