Uchiha Rō and the others, directly facing Kai's oppressive aura, turned pale and collapsed to the ground.

Cold sweat beaded on their foreheads as they stared at Kai in terror. They felt like they were in a raging storm, a small boat about to capsize. Kai could kill them with a thought.

This wasn't surprising. Kai's mastery of the Mangekyō Sharingan and his powerful willpower allowed him to unleash killing intent as potent as Orochimaru's in the original story. Combined with the Amplification Eye, the mental pressure was far greater than the sum of its parts.

"Kai, don't be impulsive. I think Rō and the others understand. They won't bother them again," Elder Dragon said urgently, trying to defuse the situation.

Kai's sudden burst of killing intent had also made him tense, feeling like he was facing death. If Kai hadn't dispersed it, he would have retreated.

"Haha, Elder Dragon, you're too formal. I was just reminding them. Don't worry about it," Kai patted Elder Dragon's shoulder. "Let's go."

Seeing Kai disregard seniority, the three elders' faces twitched. But remembering their purpose, they suppressed their displeasure.

"Rō, return to the compound. You're punished," Elder Dragon scolded.

The police officers, however, quickly fled. Clan rules could be ignored, but not Kai, the Blood-Red Asura.

Watching the police officers flee, the merchants, suppressing their curiosity, glanced at Kai fearfully before leaving.

The street was deserted. Kai looked at the three elders with interest. "You wouldn't be here unless you had something important. Don't tell me it was to punish the police."

"Damn it, Kai, don't push your luck. We are clan elders. We gave you face in front of others, but you should show us respect," Elder Feather, who had remained silent, suddenly rebuked him.

In Elder Feather's eyes, they were the foundation of the Uchiha clan. Experience and seniority gave them the right to act as they did.

"Idiot!" Kai rolled his eyes. "Itachi, you must be hungry. Let's go!"

Idiot?

Hazuki and Uchiha Izumi were stunned. Elders were highly respected. They feared the Uchiha elders more than the Konoha advisors.

"Kai, you!" Elder Feather exploded, but Elder Fire interrupted him.

Elder Fire, the head elder, his cloudy eyes reflecting Kai's image, gripped his cane. "Kai, are you interested in becoming the next clan head?"

His quiet words swept through the area like a hurricane.

Uchiha Itachi froze. Hazuki and Uchiha Izumi were also stunned. This was a lot to take in.

Uchiha Fugaku had been a good clan head, but his moderate approach dissatisfied many Uchiha. However, Fugaku was stronger than the three elders in their prime, making him the best choice for clan head.

But Uchiha Kai, the Blood-Red Asura, had risen to fame. His battlefield prowess, his escape from the Hokage Building, and his overwhelming of Danzō were legendary. The elders couldn't believe he hadn't been punished.

This is why they'd rushed here.

"Clan head?" Kai raised an eyebrow. He'd expected this, but not so soon.

"Yes!"

Elder Dragon nodded gravely. "If you agree, we can recommend you as clan head and for the Hokage position."

"With your talent, strength, and the Uchiha clan's resources, this is a golden opportunity."

This proposal shocked Uchiha Itachi, Hazuki, and Uchiha Izumi. This was a rebellion—overthrowing the current clan head and installing Kai. This was a huge insult.

Uchiha Itachi and Hazuki instinctively clasped hands. This fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy was being nominated for clan head.

"Sorry, I'm not interested in being clan head. And Hokage? Too much trouble. I prefer to sleep," Kai smiled warmly. "I don't like being a puppet."

"If the elders have nothing else, please leave!"

"You!"

Elder Feather exploded, but Elder Fire stopped him.

"This is just a proposal. Don't reject it so quickly."

"It's late. We have things to do. We'll leave now."

Elder Fire left first, followed by Elder Feather, who glared at Kai.

The area was empty.
