Chapter 9: The Turning Point

As the dust settled, Riku and Goku stood side by side, their hearts racing. They had pushed Commander Red to his limits, but the battle was far from over. Red's expression twisted into a snarl as he glared at them, his aura flaring with renewed intensity.

"You think you can defeat me?" Red spat, his voice filled with rage. "I am the commander of the Red Ribbon Army! I will not be defeated by a couple of children!"

Riku felt a surge of fear, but he pushed it aside. "We won't let you win!" he shouted, determination fueling his resolve.

Goku nodded, his expression serious. "We've come too far to back down now. Let's finish this!"

With a roar, Red charged at them, his fists glowing with energy. Riku and Goku prepared to counter, but Red was faster than they anticipated. He unleashed a flurry of punches, forcing them to dodge and weave.

"Riku, focus on his movements!" Goku shouted, narrowly avoiding a powerful strike. "We need to find an opening!"

Riku concentrated, watching Red's attacks closely. He noticed a pattern in the commander's strikes, and as Red swung again, Riku seized the opportunity. "Now!" he yelled, launching himself at Red with a powerful kick.

The kick connected, staggering Red momentarily. "What?!" he exclaimed, shock evident on his face.

"Great job, Riku!" Goku cheered, following up with a series of rapid punches. "Keep it up!"

Riku felt a rush of adrenaline as he fought alongside Goku, their teamwork becoming more fluid with each passing moment. They pressed the attack, pushing Red back and forcing him to defend.

But Red wasn't finished yet. With a furious roar, he unleashed a massive energy blast, sending Riku and Goku flying backward. They crashed to the ground, struggling to regain their footing.

"Are you okay?" Goku asked, concern etched on his face.

"I'm fine," Riku replied, determination burning in his chest. "We can't give up now!"
