Arthur's training with the palace guard began at dawn the next day. He was introduced to his instructor, a grizzled veteran warrior named Sir Thrain, who had fought in countless battles and had the scars to prove it.
Sir Thrain eyed Arthur up and down, his expression unreadable. "So, you want to be a warrior, Prince Arthur?" he asked, his voice firm but not unkind.
Arthur nodded, his heart pounding with excitement. "Yes, Sir Thrain. I want to prove myself, to show that I'm more than just a half-elf prince."
Sir Thrain nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Very well, Prince Arthur. Let us see if you have what it takes to be a true warrior."
And with that, Arthur's training began. He spent hours each day practicing swordplay, archery, and hand-to-hand combat. He learned about tactics and strategy, and how to work with others as a team.
As the days turned into weeks, Arthur grew stronger and more confident. He began to see himself as a true warrior, rather than just a prince.
But despite his progress, Arthur couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to being a warrior than just fighting. He remembered his father's words, about honor, loyalty, and duty.
And he wondered what it would take to truly prove himself, not just as a warrior, but as a leader.
