Chapter 33: Kushida Kikyo's True Colors Finally Revealed

"Why do I have to join too?"

Saiki Kusuo expressed his confusion.

Horikita Suzune stood in front of Saiki Kusuo, her serious gaze fixed directly on him as if trying to peer into his mind. She then spoke:

"First, your grades are in the middle of the class, but you should be more than capable of teaching these guys. Plus, you seem pretty familiar with them."

'You've got a pretty deep misunderstanding of me too. When did I ever get close to these guys?'

Saiki Kusuo complained in his mind but didn't say it out loud.

"Second, class points are definitely tied to everyone's exam scores. I want everyone to achieve better grades so we have a better chance of rising to Class A. Right now, we're about 400 points behind Class A. We need to find a way to close that gap as quickly as possible!"

Horikita Suzune's voice was firm and resolute. On one hand, she genuinely wanted everyone's exam scores to improve. On the other, she wanted to verify whether Chabashira Sae's earlier comments were true—whether Saiki Kusuo had deliberately controlled his scores.

Saiki Kusuo, of course, wanted to refuse. He didn't want to deal with these people any further. Not a single person in this room was easy to handle.

Moreover, if he joined the study group, a significant portion of his free time would be taken up...

But in this situation, Saiki Kusuo had no room to refuse. If he declined, it would only make it easier for the others to pester him. So, he reluctantly nodded.

"Then it's settled for now. Let's meet at the library after school tomorrow. That's all for today."

Horikita Suzune spoke in a commanding tone, then left. For her, her goal had been achieved, so there was no need to stay any longer.

"Well, that's it for today."

The atmosphere had already soured, so Sudo Ken and the others also left the room, leaving only Kushida Kikyo behind.

'Hey, hey, you guys didn't clean up your trash before leaving? Just gonna walk away like that?'

"Ah, everyone else left. Saiki-kun, let me help you clean up! Sorry for making a mess in your room!"

Kushida Kikyo smiled warmly, appearing very friendly as she took the initiative to clean up the room.

[I have to maintain my perfect image. I can't overlook these small details. Only by doing this will people like Saiki and the others trust me more, and then I can better use them to expel that bitch Horikita Suzune.]

'How deep is your hatred for Horikita? In a way, it's almost obsessive. But it seems Horikita doesn't know much about your past either.'

Saiki Kusuo complained in his mind.

'If I didn't have telepathy, I'd probably think Kushida is a really nice person. No wonder she's so popular. But after seeing her true colors, there's no going back.'

After a few minutes of cleaning, Saiki Kusuo's room was almost spotless again. Kushida Kikyo clapped her hands and smiled at Saiki Kusuo:

"It's all cleaned up! I'll head out now!"

After saying this, Kushida Kikyo left Saiki Kusuo's room.

'Finally, it's over.'

Saiki Kusuo let out a long sigh of relief. The utterly meaningless celebration was finally over.

He inspected the room to see if anyone had left anything suspicious—theoretically, things like cameras could be purchased at this school. If his room was being monitored, it would be troublesome.

However, after scanning the room with his X-ray vision, he found nothing unusual—

"Wait."

Saiki Kusuo noticed a black object lying on his bed. Upon closer inspection, it was a student's phone terminal, likely Kushida Kikyo's.

'Did she leave it here on purpose? No, I didn't pick up any related thoughts earlier. She probably just forgot it by accident.'

Saiki Kusuo picked up the phone and pondered.

'Should I just pretend I didn't see it? No, if Kushida realizes she left her phone and comes back, it'll be a hassle. I might not even be able to go home tonight.'

'Should I take it to the lost and found? That's not ideal. If it's a classmate's, it's better to return it directly rather than handing it over to the lost and found.'

'Should I use my teleportation ability to send it over? No, at long distances, my telekinesis isn't precise enough. I can only swap two objects... Using equivalent exchange isn't great either. The target can't be determined, and the risk is too high.'

Countless possibilities flashed through Saiki Kusuo's mind, but in the end, there was only one solution: he had to return the phone himself.

"Sigh."

Saiki Kusuo sighed, using his Clairvoyance to check Kushida Kikyo's location. She hadn't gone back to her dorm but had instead headed to the square in front of the dormitory building.

'Strange, what's she going to do? Whatever, if I don't return the phone to her now, she might come knocking on my door later, and that'll be even more trouble.'

Saiki Kusuo shook his head. Although he hated trouble, to avoid even bigger problems later, he had no choice but to follow her.

There were surveillance cameras near the dormitory, so to be safe, he didn't use his psychic abilities. Instead, he took the elevator downstairs and headed to the square in front of the dormitory.

'Yare yare, what's she doing out so late?'

Saiki Kusuo was puzzled but quickened his pace. Using his Clairvoyance, he located Kushida Kikyo. She seemed to have gone to a secluded corner of the campus.

Soon, he heard Kushida Kikyo's noisy thoughts.

[Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it! That bitch, why won't she just die?]

[Acting all high and mighty just because she's cute and gets good grades. Disgusting! Do you really think you're the center of the class?]

[I'll make sure you get expelled, I'll make sure you get expelled, ahhh!]

'Yare yare, she's not just thinking it now. She's actually venting her frustrations out loud.'

Saiki Kusuo looked expressionlessly at Kushida Kikyo in the distance.
