Chapter 2

"Who... who said that?" Damien stammered, panic flashing across his face as he turned toward the voice.

From the shadows, footsteps echoed. Jake, the gang's leader, emerged with a steel bat resting on his shoulder. A cold smirk tugged at his lips.

As if on cue, the rest of the gang spilled into the alley, surrounding Damien like a pack of wolves closing in on their prey.

"You little rat," Jake growled. "You should've just stayed put. Now we're pissed—and tired."

One of the gang members stepped forward, eyes glinting with cruelty.

"Boss, let's not kill him too fast. Let's make him scream. Make him regret messing with us."

"Yeah…" Jake nodded slowly, that twisted smile returning. "I like that. Let's give him a show he won't forget."

He turned and pointed. "You. Cut off his legs."

"Wait—please!" Damien begged, eyes wide with horror. "I didn't do anything! This is a misunderstanding—"

But before he could finish, the blade came down.

"AAGHHH!" Damien's scream pierced the night as his legs were severed, blood pouring out like a river.

He collapsed, trembling, sobbing, pain overwhelming every thought.

"Now… take his arms," Jake commanded coldly.

"No—no, please! I'm begging you, stop!" Damien cried, tears mixing with sweat and blood.

"NOOO—!"

His screams filled the alley once again as both arms were hacked away. He writhed on the ground, broken and bleeding.

"P-please… j-just kill me... don't torture me anymore…" he gasped, his voice barely audible through the pain.

Jake crouched beside him, voice low and cruel.

"Before you die, let me tell you who sent us—and why."

Damien looked up weakly, eyes glassy but still searching for answers.

"The young master of Star Enterprise." Jake sneered. "Apparently, your great-grandfather founded the company, and you were next in line to inherit seventy percent of its shares."

Damien's breath hitched.

"Can't let a rat like you have that kind of power, right?" Jake whispered, standing up. "So… we were hired to make you disappear."

He raised a hand.

Five blades plunged into Damien from every direction.

His world turned red, then black.

"Bye-bye, little rat," Jake said with a smirk, watching the life drain from Damien's eyes.
